Story
Comer is a precious 10-year-old Corgi/Terrier mix who’s sure to capture your heart. Weighing in at a perfect 30 lbs, she’s the ideal size to curl up on your lap for a cozy cuddle or snuggle beside you after a long day. While she may be considered a senior, Comer’s heart and energy are young at spirit, and she’s ready to live her best life with you! Sadly, Comer had to be surrendered back to Eleventh Hour Rescue after her previous owner became ill. Despite this, Comer’s resilience shines through. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who  is great with cats, currently living with a foster feline sibling. While Comer seems comfortable with feline friends, she can be picky about her canine friends, and that is why a home with no other dogs would be ideal for her. Comer is friendly and loves to spend time with her humans, but she can be a bit nervous around men. A gentle, patient introduction to new male family members will help her feel comfortable and build trust. Whether she’s lounging with you on the couch or enjoying a playful moment, her joyful personality will surely brighten your day. House-trained, crate-trained, and a model car passenger, Comer is a well-behaved companion who’s ready to bring happiness and comfort to her forever home. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $205, a small price for a lifetime of love, laughter, and companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly best friend who will shower you with affection, Comer might be the perfect match for you. Apply today at EHRDOGS.ORG and ask for COMER — she can’t wait to meet you! Story
Lady Lucy – Sweet Survivor  Some dogs have a way of capturing your heart the moment you meet them, and Lady Lucy is certainly one of those dogs. Though her past appears to have been filled with uncertainty, she has emerged from it with a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and an unwavering belief that good things are still ahead. Lady Lucy was one of nine dogs discovered living in a remote wooded area of Middle Tennessee after they were apparently abandoned when their owner fell on difficult times. No one knows exactly how long they survived on their own, but their situation touched the hearts of many rescue volunteers who came together to help. With patience, food, water, and kindness, the dogs were gradually brought to safety. Rescue groups across the region stepped forward to help, and Critter Cavalry Rescue was fortunate enough to welcome Lady Lucy into its care. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that Lucy had once known the comforts of a home. She settled in beautifully and quickly showed everyone what a wonderful companion she is. At just over a year old and weighing 32 pounds, Lucy is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller dog with a big heart. She appears to be a delightful mix of Corgi and Beagle, though her most remarkable feature is her personality. She is affectionate, gentle, and full of love, with the easygoing nature often found in hound breeds. Whether she's relaxing beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room, Lucy simply wants to be close to her people. She is fully grown, crate trained, housebroken, and has excellent manners in the home. Lucy currently lives successfully with other dogs and does very well in an active household with teenagers, but she has made it clear that she would not mind having a little less competition for attention. After all she has been through, we think she would happily embrace a life where she can enjoy a bit more of the spotlight and receive the princess treatment she believes is rightfully hers. Lady Lucy has a way of looking into your eyes that makes you feel like you've known each other forever. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds, offers unwavering companionship, and fills a home with warmth and comfort. Her difficult past has not diminished her capacity to love; if anything, it seems to have made her even more appreciative of every kindness she receives. Now all that remains is for the right family to find her. Lady Lucy is packed and ready for her next adventure, with an open heart and a hopeful spirit. She is ready to leave her difficult past behind and begin the life she has always deserved with a family who will cherish her as the special girl she truly is. To learn more about Lady Lucy or to request an adoption application, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 24, 2026, 3:36 pm

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate.Meet Victor❤️💙 Victor's News Account: @jjamooong._1.) Health Condition Spayed. Microchipped, negative for heartworm upon retest (treatment complete) and dental scaling completed. Due to a small fracture in her right molars and tartar buildup, special care is taken to brush her teeth.2.) Rescue Story Victor was rescued by an Adogs volunteer while she was tied up tightly in a gravel lot. When found, she had clearly been neglected for a long time — food that had gone bad was piled next to her, and she looked frightened. But as soon as she felt safe, she wagged her tail and approached.3.) Basic Information With People: Gets along well with strangers as long as they don’t rush or approach in a threatening manner. Becomes affectionate if you approach and give her love. Acts cute and flops down comfortably when being petted by familiar people. Loves cuddling close to people. If you come home, she will hurry out to welcome you warmly. Is reactive with people who are running towards her, but she quickly stops if you tell her no. With Dogs: Gets along well with her foster family’s dog. Previously, she got overstimulated when seeing other dogs on walks but through training, she now calms down quickly and focuses on treats. Growls at first when she meets a dog at a dog friendly cafe, but stays still when they keep their distance. Is possessive of toys and sometimes tries to threaten other dogs when they play with her toy. Is getting training to fix this behaviour. With Cats: Although she growls at cats on walks, she stops quickly and passes by if you tell her to go. Separation Anxiety: Experiences anxiety when left alone, barking and scratching at the door. Does not feel separation anxiety when with other dogs or strangers though. Potty Training: Is very good with using pee pads. However, she remembers the first spot it was placed, so consistency in pad location is key. Prefers to go outside if possible and marks with her pee only when outside. Hygiene: Does excellently with baths and toothbrushing, and enjoys brushing. Does not like having her ears cleaned, so mouths at her foster parent’s hand as a warning without biting. Is very afraid of nail clipping, so it’s mostly handled through walks. Walks: Gets aggressive when birds or cats pass by. On days when she’s feeling irritable, she lunges with overstimulation and doesn't calm down when she sees other dogs. But on good days, she immediately refocuses on her guardian upon being called. Tends to pull on the leash hard only when other dogs are around or if she’s in a rush to potty. Is reluctant to go for walks on dark or cold days. Car Sickness: No motion sickness during a two-hour drive. Caution is required as there may be defensive (warning) biting if she is suddenly pushed to the side, if someone puts their face too close, if picked up abruptly, if bothered when she is already tired, or during ear cleaning. Doesn’t bark even at strangers outside the door as long as they don’t ring the doorbell. Barks briefly when family returns to home. Loves food very much. While this used to lead to some sensitivity (resource guarding) around her foster sibling, this behavior has improved significantly. Doesn’t like being bothered. Is okay with her foster sibling, but doesn’t like other dogs. Understands commands such as 'Sit down', 'Lie down', 'Turn', 'Nose', 'V', 'Paw', 'Wait', and 'Kiss'! Is a cutie pie that loves people. However, she has an independent side and dislikes being bothered too much.
