Story
Buddy is the sweetest little boy once you get to know him. He will be 7 years old in October of 2024. He has been neutered and microchipped. He has no known health problems but is a little chunky. He was acquired 7 years ago when he was rescued from a neglectful owner. He has lived with 6 other dogs and 2 cats before but can be food-aggressive, so he would need to be fed in a crate if around other animals. He is the sweetest, cuddliest, lazy, lovable boy after he is comfortable with you. He absolutely loves playing fetch with tennis balls and getting treats from puppy enrichment toys. The main issue that Buddy has is behavioral issues. He has severe stranger and separation anxiety. He will bark at new people or dogs and will bark and cry if left alone without any other dogs. He would greatly benefit from a home where someone can train him and give him the attention he needs. We do not have the resources to provide for these specific needs.

Story
My name is Freddie Fender, but my good friends call me Freddie. I am strikingly handsome, 3 years old and weigh in at just 17 pounds. I am a dachshund mixed with something else, as I have a Doxie face, long body, but tall slim legs that can run fast. My foster mom says that I am house trained, and know some basic commands like sit and down. When I see my foster mom approach, I get very excited, my tail wags fast and she calls me wiggle butt. I like riding in cars, and will jump right in when you open the door. I walk well on a leash and do not pull. One of my favorite places is on your lap, although I am a tad too big to be a lap dog. I’ll happily interrupt whatever you are doing so I can give and receive some love. I like to play with toys and be near my humans.   I came into Angels when my female, retired owner passed away unexpectedly. This was quite a shock, and I am slowly settling in to living with new people in a new place. My ideal home would be quiet, with very few people coming and going. I can get scared meeting new people, especially men, and will bark loudly at first. It would be nice if my foster parent(s) worked from home or were retired, so I had some company and was not left alone too often.    I do get along with other dogs, but I would be fine as your one and only.   Please complete an adoption form to learn more and to meet me soon. Thanks!     For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Good with dogs,
Story
My name is Lee Liam.  I am guessed to be 1-2 year old Dachshund mix around 18 pounds.  I fit in nicely at my foster home and get along great with dogs both big and small. I like to play zoomies and play with toys and bones.  I am trying to learn how to not hog the attention, but I just want to have fun! I like both the teenagers I live with but I still bark at them every once in a while. Because of that I would probably do better in a home with older kids. I love my crate and a soft blanket and I sleep quietly through the night.  I am doing very well with potty training too! I am pretty sure I know what “no” means and do my best to avoid having to hear it said.  I am learning to walk on leash and do pretty good but it is still a little scary.    I am looking for a loving home where I can continue to learn how to be a great dog.  If you are looking for a very loving guy whose tail never stops wagging, choose me! Story
Meet Bri! Bri and her brother, Baxter, were surrendered to RMG because their mom had to sell their home and move and unfortunately wasn't able to find a place the dogs could go with her. It was a heartbreaking decision that all too many people are having to make lately, but one that was definitely in the best interest of the babies! Both Bri and Baxter are 9 yrs old and purebred dachshunds. Bri is a red miniature dachshund weighing in at 16 lbs and Baxter a black/tan longhair standard dachshund weighing 21 lbs - both could definitely stand to lose a few pounds though! We have taken some time to get to know the pair and have determined they are without a doubt bonded - Bri had a full blown panic attack and the vet's office when they tried to take Baxter into the back without her! They both get along with other dogs of all sizes but have decided cats are not for them! They are looking for an experienced dachshund adopter with  a fenced yard to be their new BFF.   Interested in adopting this duo? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Through no fault of their own, Bri and Baxter have been bounced around a few times throughout their lifetime. We are committed to making sure this time they find their true forever family and, therefore, their adoption requirements are strict. Potential adopters must have first hand purebred dachshund ownership experience; be willing to adopt the pair and keep them together for life; have no cats (no outdoor cats either); and have a securely fenced yard. Applications not meeting these requirements will not be considered  ##1986220##
