Story
Merk is a handsome hound with a big heart and an even bigger personality! This sweet guy is looking for a forever home with someone who understands hounds and loves their quirks- especially the musical ones! True to his breed, Merk can be quite the talker and has a lot to say about the world around him. He's quite sensitive to outside stimuli and does get vocal in response. Merk is looking for an experienced dog owner who can help him feel secure and where he can relish in all the attention he needs. A shelter is a tough place for a fella like Merk, everything is a bit much for him at times, and he gets frantic and has a tough time relaxing when his mind is set on something!Although he can be quite excitable at times, Merk does settle down when things are calm and he is able to show off his affectionate and goofy side- giving you kisses every chance he gets! In a home, hes a whole new hound, and deeply enjoys the time he gets to spend with you. He loves to stand and lean against you while receiving butt rubs, and doesnt want you to stop! Merk really enjoys squeaky toys, spiky balls are his favorite, and he will happily run after them and squeak them to his heart's content!Merk is looking for a home that can give him guidance, patience, and love. Who can show him positive reinforcement training and gentle learning encouragement as he enters this newfound world. If you're a hound savvy human who has room in your heart and home for one deserving dog, Merk may be the fella for you! Please feel free to fill out an application if you think Merk would be a good fit! Story
Welcome to Ahki! This sweet young girl is eager to get started on her new world full of new friends and experiences, and cant wait to do it by your side. Ahki here is a spunky, fun and energetic puppy with all of the love and attention to offer her people. Ahki here is a smart little lady, and is going to be so much fun for a dedicated owner to offer her their time, patience, and loads of Positive Reinforcement training and redirection techniques. She is eager to please, and wants nothing more than to be by your side, and has sooo much potential to unlock.Ahki has great interactions with other dogs, and is excited to play with her canine pals in a fun game of chase, or try and play the trade game with all the best toys. She would adore a home with a well matched playmate, but wouldn't be a great pal for an older dog who prefers their peace and quiet as she is eager to play and can pester others to engage with her. She does have a prey drive, so would be seeking a home with no feline friends or small animals to chase. This sweet girl is so affectionate and loving, if she could be touching you all day, she would! She gets a bit frantic and can show some mouthy jumpy behaviors when amped up and unsure on what to do with herself, but is easily redirected with rewards like treats, affection and praise! This girly is so worth any extra efforts and love she requires, and will reward you for years to come with her amazingness!Ahki is seeking a mature home only at this time, so no kids or teens please.Interested? Apply below! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 29.5 Age: 0yrs 8mths 2wks
