Meet Sweet Spirited Shadow!This sweet guy has a heart as big as his puppy paws! He's a fella who wants nothing more than to be close to his people, if you're looking for a dog who thinks the best place in the world is your lap, Shadow might be the one for you!Like most puppies, Shadow is still learning his manners and needs someone who can guide him with patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. He is super smart and eager to learn especially when treats are involved and would do well in a home where he can get his energy out and work his mind! Because he is still navigating this big world, Shadow is pretty nervous of new things and new people so would do best with someone who can gently help him build confidence. Shadow is a BIG foodie and in turn he does have a bit of resource guarding around his food. We haven't seen this behaviour come out in shelter, but he will need an adopter who's understanding, gentle, and is willing to work with him on his puppy manners with positive reinforcement so he can continue to learn and grow. He has been good with other dogs in the past and is quite playful and bouncy, but would still do best with slow introductions. Due to Shadows high energy, he might not be a good fit for a home with younger children, however, he may do well with older kids who don't mind a bit of jumping as he learns. True to his breed, Merk can be quite the talker and has a lot to say about the world around him. He's quite sensitive to outside stimuli and does get vocal in response. Merk could potentially do well with another dog in the home as he has had positive interactions with a few dogs, although he is selective with them and can be a bit much for other dogs. He is looking for an experienced dog owner who can help him feel secure and where he can relish in all the attention he needs. Although he can be quite excitable at times, Merk does settle down when things are calm and he is able to show off his affectionate and goofy side- giving you kisses every chance he gets! Boston is the sweetest senior you'll meet!He thinks he is a lapdog and loves to be close to his people. He loves people of all ages, gets along great with cats and has been in a foster home with other dogs seamlessly of all sizes.He does seem to be reactive to other dogs on occasion, so slow introductions are important to keep everyone happy.Boston is a funny guy and can be very vocal, but he is generally a chill guy, he just really loves food!Boston came into care suffering from some pretty uncomfortable skin infections due to untreated allergies. He is currently on a special diet for his allergies, and is finishing up a course of oral antibiotics to heal some lingering wounds.He has been vet checked and is in great health for his age.
