Story
Say hello to Oso, our long-term resident seeking his forever home! Oso has been with us far too long now and is so deserving and loving of finding his forever person. Oso is large, loving and goofy, and has absolutely stolen the hearts of the staff who care for him. This guy doesn't know his own size, and loves to bounce and jump around his yard, throwing his toys up in the air, and tumbling around in a hilarious manner. His long limbs and floppy ears are the funniest thing to watch, and will make your heart swell with joy, and your stomach ache with laughter. Oso is hoping for a particular home and will be an amazing companion to someone who can offer him the type of environment he needs. Oso is not a fan of other canines and is looking to be the only dog in the home. He can be quite reactive to them, and is seeking an owner who understands this, and can help him associate seeing other canines in a positive way with his training process. This fella is 110 pounds, meaning he is quite strong and will pull when he sees other dogs and can be hard to redirect away from them. He is looking for an owner who can help guide him during these moments with positive reinforcement and show him how to redirect his energy in a positive way. A home without dogs directly on the other side of the fence would be best, so Oso has the chance to be comfortable in his home without feeling the need to be on guard. Although Oso does struggle with reactivity towards other dogs, he is one of the squishiest, loving boys we know. With his people, Oso bonds hard with them, and is beyond excited to see his people friends daily. He greets us with his adorable woos and kisses, and can't wait to give you your daily snuggles and love. He loves to play with his toys and lean up against you soaking in the attention and getting his scratches. Oso loves car rides and adventures where he can sniff away and would really enjoy an active owner who can keep his brain busy, and offer him lots of mental enrichment! If youd like to know more about Oso, please give us at call at 250-339-7722! We love this fella and cant wait for his person to come along, and are more than happy to chat in more detail about him! Story
Keisha – 37 lbs, 3 year old Shepherd cross is looking for a home. Keisha is a super sweet and smart girl, and sweetheart to the volunteers who visit her at the SPCA PV sanctuary. Keisha was found in the hills around Puerto Vallarta tied up, hungry, trying to care for and protect her 6 young pups. After her rescue the SPCA PV learned that Keisha is blind from being poisoned. Despite this tough early life, Keisha is very sweet and friendly with humans and dogs (she is even ok being carried). On her walks she doesn't pull and likes to sniff a lot (her nose is her eyes). Keisha is spayed, vaccinated, healthy, and now has a full belly every day, which makes her very happy. She'd love to make up for a tough early start with a warm loving home. If interested, please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself.

Story
Welcome Milo!!This spunky energy stuffed boy is ready to take life on by the leash, and run with it!We have just loved getting to know this fella, and think he's just loads of fun and full of so much life! Milo here LOVES to play, and will happily toss his toys around the yard, keeping himself endlessly entertained! He does hilarious drive by fake outs when he's running at you, and zooms right by with impressive speed! He needs a nice big yard where he can run and get all his crazies out so he can be his very best self! He can get pretty frustrated when he doesn't have the opportunity to get his energy out, and wouldn't be suited to an apartment as he has shown us he needs much more space!Milo does have a tendency to jump, and is working really hard on correcting this behavior with positive reinforcement! He just gets so happy to see you, he wants to be as close as he can! He is very food motivated and praise oriented, and will thrive with a gentle training approach as he succeeds with a reward based system! When you ask him to sit, he lays down flat on his belly - its so cute! Milo is a large fella who can be quite strong and pulls hard on the lead, and would love a guardian to show him the ropes on loose lead walking, and would enjoy learning his recall! He is fully house trained, and has been so tidy for us!He plays well with other dogs, although a bit forward at first, and hasn't ever been exposed to cats so we aren't too sure how that would go!Milo is such a fun and loving fella who is so ready to get started on his new life! If you are looking for a social fella to be your new adventure pal, stop your search and apply below! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 33.3 Age: 1yrs 3mths 0wks
