Meet Titan! Titan is a handsome Shepherd x Pit Bull-type mix who has truly started to shine since coming into our care at the end of April. Originally brought in as a stray, this big softie has shown us he's all about love, connection, and cozy moments.Titan is extremely affectionate and thrives on attention. He's the kind of dog who will happily soak up all the snuggles you're willing to give (and then ask for more). Like many dogs who've had a bit of an uncertain past, Titan does experience separation anxiety. He'd love a home where people are around most of the day to help ease this transition and support him as he builds confidence being on his own.Additionally, Titan is currently healing from a TPLO surgery, which is an major surgery to repair and stabilize his knee. At 1.5 months post-op, he's healing incredibly well and is now ready to find his forever home that can continue on his healing journey. At this moment in time, Titan is able to walk 30 minutes, 3 times a day and is working on strengthening his leg again. Now that the hardest recovery period is in the past, he is in need of a loving home as he is starting to live pain free! While Titan loves other dogs, we would love to see him in a home without another dog OR with the ability to keep them separate so that his leg can continue to heal without risk of injury in a playful romp. Small critters are a little too fun to chase, so a home without cats or other smalls is best. Having come from a difficult situation with very little socialization, the world can feel like a scary place for Opie. New people, unfamiliar environments, and sudden changes can be overwhelming for him, and he needs time to feel safe and secure.While people may take a little while to earn his trust, other dogs are a different story. Opie absolutely loves canine companionship and has made a special friend during his stay with us who has helped him come out of his shell. Reggie is a wiggly, playful young man looking for stability he has not had. Reggie knows sit, shake and lie down and is food motivated. Reggie has been great on leash, he loves to explore the world with his nose to the ground and has been unfazed by traffic and bikes. He even saw a couple deer quite close! He thought they were very interesting but quietly watched them. He has previously lived with at least one senior dog and shows good doggy manners, although he is large and can be overly rambunctious for a senior companion. Reggie has a booming bark and likes to have his voice heard! He will bark for fun, to alert about passers by or strangers and while playing. Reggie has been around cats but he is overly interested in them so would do best in a home without felines or other small animals he could have access to.Reggie is shy around men, he has had some negative experiences. The men in his life will have to have some patience and allow Reggie to feel comfortable in their presence in his own time. We are still getting to know this very loving, goofy boy. Mala loooves to "hug", snuggle and play with his squeaky toys. Given the chance he crawls right into a lap and could spend hours being pet.Mala's world has been very small so he will need the help of gentle, dedicated, dog savvy guardians to guide him and give him the consistent attention he's been lacking. Mala's lack of worldly experience causes him to be nervous of new things and people. He does not have much experience with things we may consider to be normal, everyday stimuli. Mala may have had some negative interactions with people in the past that causes him to be a little guarded, he is watchful of people's body language but is won over quickly with treats and a soft voice. Mala will need time and patience to work on his fears.Mala knows "sit" and "shake," although he is working on giving one paw at a time. Mala has been gaining weight and recovering from food insecurity so he can be quite enthusiastic about his meals and should continue with puzzle or slow feeders. As he is still anxious about getting enough to eat, and does not have much experience living indoors, his people will have to ensure there is nothing too easy to access on counters and garbage is tucked away. This history has caused some food resource guarding, but he continues to make improvement as he learns the food is readily available and people aren't trying to take it from him. Grizzly is a really good dog. We are rehoming him because we find we can no longer offer him the quality of life he deserves with our two young children. Grizz is 11 years old but still acts like a pup sometimes. He likes to play, go for short walks, and LOVES to eat. Grizz has some mild arthritis which limits the length of the walks he can take. He's limited to about 30 mins or less, but he is not currently on any medication. Grizz also loves the car, but you may not love taking him in the car because he howls like a banshee in excitement. Grizz is a wonderful and lovely dog that will be a positive addition to your home.
