Story
Keisha – 37 lbs, 3 year old Shepherd cross is looking for a home. Keisha is a super sweet and smart girl, and sweetheart to the volunteers who visit her at the SPCA PV sanctuary. Keisha was found in the hills around Puerto Vallarta tied up, hungry, trying to care for and protect her 6 young pups. After her rescue the SPCA PV learned that Keisha is blind from being poisoned. Despite this tough early life, Keisha is very sweet and friendly with humans and dogs (she is even ok being carried). On her walks she doesn't pull and likes to sniff a lot (her nose is her eyes). Keisha is spayed, vaccinated, healthy, and now has a full belly every day, which makes her very happy. She'd love to make up for a tough early start with a warm loving home. If interested, please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself.

Story
Hazel is such an intelligent dog with a drive to learn and grow! If you're familiar with her breeds, they are very dedicated, smart and loyal dogs who have SO much to offer their person. If you're seeking for a dog who is constantly ready to fine tune her skills, and seeking a life of enrichment and adventure, Hazel is the one for you! This gal LOVES her people, and is thrilled to spend the day by your side, playing away with her toys and snuggling up on your lap. She loves pets and rubs, and leans her whole self into you as you dote on her! Hazel is SUPER toy motivated, and all do ANYTHING for the chance at a game of tug or fetch! She keeps herself busy for hours with her antics, and will thrive with a home who offers her toys as rewards during training sessions! She loves to shred soft toys however, so needs tougher chewer toys, or a home who doesn't mind her cloud piles.Miss Hazel does show a lot of excitement towards other dogs, but has shown reactivity towards them while in our care, and is seeking to be the only pet in the home. We think with show introductions and positive reinforcement, we think she can make great progress! She's so smart and motivated!Hazel would thrive in an adult orientated home, with lots of time and dedication to offer her! For her, its not just about being physically enriched, her mental simulation and enrichment is just as important- if not more important for her to succeed! She is seeking a home to offer her a force free, positive reinforcement based training system so she can keep being her very best self! Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 28.6 Age: 3yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
George, George, George of the Jungle.... CUTE AS CAN BE! Meet George! This cutie pie is seeking some new digs and cannot WAIT to find his new home! This large boy comes in at a whopping 120lbs of pure love and face rolls, and will kiss you ALL day long. Affectionate as can be, this sweet fella loves his humans he knows, and will paw at you for more pets and love when you stop! He even will press his big body right into yours and do the "lean" while he looks back at you with the sweetest droopiest eyes saying" dats the spot!"!George is hopeful for a home where he can be the only dog living at home, but has previously made doggy friends in his past! He can be quite selective about new dogs, and does struggle with some reactivity when he is near them. He would benefit greatly from doing some Animal Kind Training sessions to get some good skills under his belt to navigate this! Mr. George loves his strolls and time outside, and would love a home where he can have space to stretch his legs and relax! He would adore trail walks with his people, and will gladly curl up beside you for a snooze after! George is unsure of new people he doesn't know and shows barrier reactivity to those he isn't sure of, but does come around quickly with treats and reassurance!! He would do best with an experienced owner who understands his behaviors and willing to work with him using Positive Reinforcement training methods! If you are interested in George, Apply below!! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 54 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Meet Rex!!If you're looking for a goofy dog to make you laugh and smile while he wiggles and dances through the air, you've met the right one! This fella gets the ultimate zoomies when he's excited, and will race around his space showing off just how fast and funny he is! He tosses his toys up in the air with joy as he races to catch them! He LOVES his people once he gets to know them, and really makes sure he shows you just how special you are to him! He can get excited and jump up a bit, but has been improving already in his short time here and sure to keep learning more!He seems to really enjoy puzzle toys and snuffle matts, and loves to keep his brain busy. He is very tidy in his room at night, and doesn't make a fuss or mess when he has to go back to his room! Since we have no history on this fella, we have noticed he does need an extra few moments and reassurance meeting new people, but does great as soon as he knows what you're all about! He would thrive with an understanding home who is ready to learn all about Rex! Rex doesn't seem overly keen on other male dogs, but does seem to really enjoy similar sized female dogs, so surely wouldn't mind dog friends to see on adventures! This fella is ready for walks and love, and hopes to call you his very own!If you are interested, please submit our Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire below!! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 30.8 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Piper here is eager to find her furever home and cannot wait to be doted on!Piper came into care as a stray so we don't have much history on her unfortunately. We have learned that she is super playful and loves to run around with her toys. She seems to be quite interested in other dogs and we are sure she would love to have a friend or at least make some! Piper has lots of energy and would love to find someone active who will take her out on fun adventures. She is quite jumpy and mouthy, but with a keen owner and positive reinforcement training she can definitely curb those behaviours. Food and treats are a huge motivator for her, which will make training that much easier! Piper is also working on her housetraining so she will need someone with patience as she learns. Piper is eager to learn and live her best life, while being spoiled and loved as she deserves! If you're interested in miss Piper, send us an application!
