Story
Meet Shaggy! This sweet boy was found as a stray, heavily matted and needed urgent assistance! He is a very gentle-natured boy who relies on his people very heavily. So much so that he has pretty severe separation. He requires a family who is going to be home at all times and is willing to put in a lot of time to help him be more confident when left alone. He will require an Animal Kind trainer and on-going training. He is looking for someone who can put lots of time and energy into helping him with his anxiety. He is super cuddly and just loves everyone! We do not know how he is with other dogs, so slow introductions would be necessary. He's very affectionate and is great on walks. He doesn't pull and stays right by your side. Shaggy loves to cuddle as well, often times reminding you he wants more pets by placing his paw on you. He will require ongoing grooming and medical care. While he is undergoing his current medical care, he will be available for foster with the intention of adoption. He requires surgery and specific medication regimen. Walk-ins are prioritized. We are open to walk in's Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays). In order to prepare for your visit, you can submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire as well at;https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Grey Weight: 31.7 Age: 4yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Casper needs another dog in his forever home and no small children Meet Casper 👻🐾 — a 4-month-old Border Collie mix with a playful spirit, a sensitive heart, and the cutest quirky habits! At 26 lb and growing, Casper is a moderate-energy pup who loves to play with other dogs and is learning his boundaries as he goes. He can be a little cautious with new people, but gentle introductions help him warm up nicely. Once he's comfortable? He's your loyal shadow — not a lap dog, but always close by. 💕 Casper is untested with kids and cats, but he's doing great with leash walking once he settles in, and while he may take a few minutes to calm in his crate, he does just fine after that. His favorite hangout spots include playing under the bed or sleeping half-under it like a little cave creature. 🛏️🐶 This smart boy already knows high five and shake a paw — but only with his left paw! 🐾 He's a big fan of toys and beef liver treats, has a soft spot for socks and slippers, and has very strong opinions about vacuums (hard pass 😅). Casper would thrive in a patient, loving home that can keep building his confidence and continue his training. If you're looking for a sweet, slightly goofy companion with just the right mix of brains and charm — Casper might be your guy! 💙🐕

Story
Meet Sage, the 9 pound queen of dainty delight! 😍 At 10 years young, Sage is a Chinese Crested who specializes in two things: melting hearts and looking fabulous while doing it. This tiny girl is full of gentle goodness and an easygoing charm that wins over everyone, especially other friendly pups her size. Cats? She acknowledges their existence and then politely moves on with her day. 😁 Sage is a champion walker....if the weather cooperates. Warm, sunny days? She'll happily strut the neighbourhood, taking her time to sniff things with great purpose. Cold days? Even in her most fashionable winter outfits, Sage would like to file a complaint with management. She'll go outside but will start to shake almost immediately. 🥶 Sage tolerates her crate when needed, but she would much rather be out where the chin and back massages happen....please schedule those regularly, she insists. 🤗 Sage is doing great with potty training. Just keep an eye out for her signature "prance" which is both adorable and informative. ☺️ Sage's foster family reports that this girl is full of personality. When she gets happy, she launches into zoomies that are absolutely adorable, all while her thin little tail wags so fast you might worry it will take flight. A noted food connoisseur, Sage will politely tolerate kibble. Soft food is her preferred cuisine so take note....only the best for Sage! 😍 Sweet, silly and undeniably special, Sage is ready for a family of her very own - one who loves her quirks, her prance, her zoomies and her big personality packed into a tiny, elegant frame. If you're looking for a gentle companion who will brighten your days, Sage is waiting to meet you! ♥️ **At this time, Sage has not been tested with kids. Slow introductions would be best.
