Story
Meet Oscar, this majestic boy is ready to take over your heart and home. With a mane as fluffy as a lion's and a regal presence that commands attention, Oscar is sure to turn heads wherever he goes. This boy came to us with his sister Daisy, and while they enjoy each other's company, Oscar would also be willing to part ways and set off on his own adventure. While Oscar has mastered the art of looking handsome, he could use a little help with leash manners and tends to pull when excited. However, with some patience and consistent training, he's eager to learn and improve. Come meet this magnificent boy and embark on a wild adventure filled with love and companionship. Story
Meet JD, a 10-month-old Kengal dog mix with a heart as big as his paws. JD hails from a rural property where he lived harmoniously among a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and even pigs. He arrived at our shelter alongside his brother Jasper - the two are great friends! JD may initially appear shy, but with time and patience, he reveals his gentle and affectionate nature. He would thrive in a home with an experienced guardian who can provide the understanding and support he needs to blossom. Positive reinforcement training and the guidance of an AnimalKind certified trainer would further aid JD in reaching his full potential. If you're ready to open your heart and home to JD (and possibly Jasper), please submit an application today! Primary Color: Black Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 30.6 Age: 0yrs 10mths 3wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sweet little Dyson and her siblings came into our care due to an unfortunate circumstance of neglect. They were emaciated, malnourished and under-socialized. After some much needed TLC, the sisters grew in size and confidence. Her sisters have all found their furever homes, while Dyson still awaits hers. Dyson and her siblings got their unique vacuum names because they acted like little hungry hippos, trying to eat everything in sight - including things that were not edible. Dyson has slowly grown out of that behaviour but will require monitoring while she settles into a new home and routine. During her time in foster, Dyson has had the opportunity to experience "normal" dog life. Having access to an unlimited number of stuffed animals and going for hikes. Dyson is currently in foster with a dog and 2 cats. She would benefit from having a friendly canine companion in the home to help her gain confidence. Dyson is going to take time to warm up to her new person and feels most comfortable around women. Dyson would do best in a quiet home with someone who has the patience to show her that the world is not a scary place. If you are ready to welcome a snoring angel into your home and heart, please submit an application online or contact the shelter 250-493-0136 for further information. Story
Meet Beauford!Beauford is such a wonderful boy! But don't just take our word, here is what his foster has to say about him:"Beautiful. Exceptional. Amazing. Ultimate. Fabulous. Outstanding. Regular. Dude. B.E.A.U.F.O.R.D!Beauford loves truck rides, cuddling on the couch and his people. He is very gentle with everyone he meets. He has good leash manners and even tries his very best to contain his bouts of energy while he is healing. Once he is all healed, he would do great in an active home with lots of outings and adventures. Beafuord has been on bed rest since he came into care at the SPCA due to a broken leg. He has had excellent house manners, even asking to go potty by politely sitting at the front door.Initially he does not like not being able to be with you at all times, but with time and structure he is getting better at this. I have had dogs for 70 years, without a doubt in my mind, he has won my heart and impressed me so much, he has heard Top Dog Award in my life!" - Foster MumBeauford still has a couple vet appointments that he needs to get through before he can be fully adopted, but is available to go Foster-to-Adopt into a home at anytime. Please note, he will have to to travel to Summerland for his appointment at the beginning of February. If you interested 1. He thrives on adventure and is seeking a home with equal energy levels where he can explore and play to his heart's content. Despite his exuberance, Bennie is incredibly friendly and loves everyone he meets. He snorkels in his water bowl, and would really enjoy trips to the lake.- Bennie's friendly disposition makes him good with meeting new people, although he may benefit from continued socialization to build confidence.- As a young dog, Bennie is still learning basic obedience skills. However, he is highly food motivated, which makes training a rewarding and enjoyable experience - Bennie's forever family should be prepared to provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy and fulfilled. If you're ready to embark on exciting adventures with Bennie and help him reach his full potential, please consider opening your heart and home to this lovable pup!https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-shuswap/ Primary Color: Blonde Weight: 42.1 Age: 0yrs 11mths 3wks
