Story
Floppy is looking for a new place to call home, where he can be around his people and get lots of love. He is great with people and thrives with lots of attention and pampering!Floppy would do best in a home without cats, and can be reactive to other dogs, although he may be okay with the right doggy friend after introductions. He came to us originally in rough shape due to chronic skin infection and irritation, causing hair loss and thickened skin. We are currently treating him with medicated baths, an anti-itch medication while his skin heals and the irritation settles, along with a prescribed diet for food sensitivities. He loves his new food and thoroughly enjoys food puzzles as well to add a bit more fun to his day.He loves to lay with you and cuddle, and will gladly play with any toy offered. He also enjoys a nice stroll, and walks great on harness! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application below. We do not have open viewing for dogs, and will arrange meets with an approved application by appointment only.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 44.3 Age: 6yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Tiffany is a sweet, shy, and beautiful girl with a heart full of love.Tiffany is looking for a home that can accommodate her needs at this time. Tiffany will need a yard that she has direct access to while she is working on her house training and leash walking skills. This will also be a fun place to strengthen your bond with her, as she loves to rip around the yard and play with her favorite squeaky toys! A quiet home with a daily predictable routine will help Tiffany settle in and start to learn the ropes of her new life. Our staff and volunteers have already seen this once extremely shy girl turn into such a gentle, sweet, playful, and loyal companion. We can't wait to see what she's capable of once she feels safe in a loving and supportive home! If you are looking for a friend to grow and learn with, Tiffany is your girl. At this time, we will not be doing walk in meet and greets. Story
Kovu is a handsome male Husky who's starting to discover the comforts of the good life. He's still working on his potty training and basic manners, so he'll need a patient home willing to guide him with positive reinforcement and consistency. Dog savvy adults with breed experience will be beneficial for Kovu! A fully fenced yard is essential-he's an active dog who needs space to run and explore safely!Kovu has a strong bond with Maya, and they're often found playing or hanging out side by side. He'd thrive in a home that can offer time, structure, and companionship-bonus points if it's with Maya, too. ♥ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 24.6 Age: 2yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
Beautiful husky girl Chiquita, born April 2023, is looking for a home. She is approximately 41 lbs. Her mum and littermates were often seen wandering in the area of the SPCA PV sanctuary and staff and volunteers saw them in deteriorating condition due to a diet heavy on garbage and took them in to give them the care they needed. After she got refuge in the sanctuary, she lived through a hurricane which heavily damaged the shelter, and she had temporary refuge in a home that unfortunately had a landlord that didn't allow dogs.. but in that time, she learned what a home is and what it is meant to be loved. Chiquita is an energetic girl so she’d love a yard with some space to burn off some zoomies but was in a foster home in an apartment. She loves the beach. Her foster mom just loved her, described her as a fast learner, and a great cuddler. She has learned basic commands - sit, come, waits to eat her food. She isn't destructive in the home and did well in the car. She is selective with other dogs, and can be reactive, and would squabble with her siblings. Kids make her nervous so she'd prefer a quiet adult home where she can learn more about the world. Chiquita would be best in a home without cats as she shows high prey drive. Video of Chiquita with her shelter friends: https://www.facebook.com/spcapv/videos/1401202434079126 She is now healthy and vaccinated. If you think you might be her happy home, please contact us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com for more information. Chiquita is currently in Mexico but can fly to a Canadian home near you!
