Story
Meet Nube who is looking for a home. Nube is a 4.5 year old mixed breed, full grown at a perfect 45 lbs. We think she may be a lab cross, with a gorgeous white coat, and beautiful markings to round out her unique look. She shares space with other dogs and enjoys playtime in the yard with them. Nube is friendly and affectionate with shelter visitors with a lovely disposition. She is medium energy - with enough energy to keep up, but would also be grateful for some chill time to make up for missed cuddles. Mostly she would love her very own family. Nube hasn't been tested extensively with cats. She sees them without reacting, but for now, we will seek a home without cats to be sure. While Nube is lovely with people, she's not been specifically tested with kids. Nube is spayed and vaccinated. She is missing some of her front teeth - likely a result of escaping shackles or surviving on street scraps. If you think you might be a fit for this beauty, as her chance at a forever home, or as a foster along the way, she'd love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com

Story
Sweet Sandy, born February 2025 was already on the street at a young age. A kind rescuer would see her out chasing chickens, hungry and alone, and took her into foster care. Sandy is a mixed breed, whippet x terrier, currently weighing 33 lbs, we estimate she may be 39 lbs full grown. Sandy is living in a foster home with multiple dogs and cats. She is playful with all dogs, and even safe playing with the tiniest of them. Sandy is friendly with people but likes to go slowly when strangers visit to be sure that they are safe to cuddle. Sandy has not been tested with kids. Sandy is house trained, walks well on leash, and has been okay when left alone in her foster home. Sandy is looking for adventure, and would like an active home where she can run and play, and even some enrichment for her big brain. Not only is Sandy beautiful, but also healthy, spayed and vaccinated. Sandy is looking for her very own family and would love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com (Please check your spam for our response in case it has made its way there)

Story
Rootin' tootin' Rudy came into this world with big paws, bigger feelings, and a whole lot of yeehaw energy. At 7 months old, this Border Collie / Aussie / Great Pyrenees mix is still learning how to steer his growing body and his even-growing-er enthusiasm. The world can feel loud and busy sometimes, but Rudy is taking it in stride and trying his very best. He's a bit of a bucking bronco when excitement hits and is working hard on four on the floor, polite doorways, and general good-mannered cowboy behavior. Rudy forgets how big he is more often than not, but his intentions are pure. Toys are his prized possessions, treats are powerful motivation, and being told he's a good boy might be his favorite thing of all.Rudy prefers slow introductions to dog friends and would love to be the star of the show in his home. Because of his size, sensitivity, and enthusiasm, he's looking for a no-kids home with someone patient, consistent, and ready to guide a young working-breed mix through his big puppy phase. With structure, praise, and a sense of humor, Rootin' Tootin' Rudy is going to grow into a loyal, affectionate partner - the kind of dog who tries hard, loves harder, and just needs someone to ride alongside him while he figures it all out. 🤠🐾 Primary Color: Tri Color Secondary Color: White Weight: 34.7 Age: 0yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
Boss Man is a handsome pittie boy with energy to spare and a heart full of enthusiasm. He's the definition of exuberant: strong, wiggly, and always ready to greet the world with his whole body. If you've ever wanted a dog who celebrates life like it's a full‑time job, Boss Man is your guy. He's still learning his basic manners and finds it nearly impossible to stay still - there's just too much excitement in the world. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement training, he'll blossom into the well‑mannered companion he's meant to be. Right now, he's also working on mastering his potty habits and will benefit from a routine.Boss Man loves going outside for adventures. Whether it's a walk, a hike, or simply exploring the yard, he's happiest when he's moving and discovering new things. Because of his strength and high energy, he's best suited for a home without other animals or small children. He thrives when he can be the center of attention and have a calm, predictable environment to learn in. Boss Man cannot have chicken, so his future family will need to keep his meals chicken‑free. He is not yet neutered, but he's on track for that next step in his journey. If you're looking for a spirited, lovable pup who will reward your guidance with loyalty and joy, Boss Man is ready to wiggle his way into your life.
