Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky is a loyal heart just waiting for the right person to believe in him! This handsome 4 year old Australian Shepherd found his way to our shelter when his previous owners realized they couldn’t give him the time and commitment he truly deserves. When he first arrived, Rocky was very nervous and shut down, unsure of the unfamiliar people and environment around him. It took time, patience, and a lot of gentle reassurance, but this sweet boy has slowly started to open up and show us who he really is.Once Rocky knows you, his true personality shines. He is incredibly devoted and loves to be by your side, always ready to lend a “helping paw” and keep you company throughout your day. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or just moving from room to room, Rocky wants nothing more than to be your loyal shadow. That said, Rocky is still learning to feel safe in new situations. He remains cautious and very wary around strangers and he needs plenty of time and space to build trust with new people. Because of this, Rocky is looking for a calm, patient home with an experienced dog owner who understands that strong bonds aren’t rushed—they’re built with consistency, respect, and love. We believe Rocky would do best in a home with someone who has owned working/herding breeds before, someone who knows how to navigate their special personalities and really help them thrive with a job to do! Rocky will need to go to a home without young children and without lots of commotion and comings and goings of strangers in the home. Rocky can be sensitive about his personal space and prefers a quieter, more predictable environment where he can feel secure with his family. Mr. Rocky has done incredibly well hanging out with other friendly dogs (of all ages and sizes) here at the shelter. We think another home with another friendly and compatible dog that can help show him the ropes of his new home and family life may be an excellent fit for Rocky. If you’re someone who believes in giving a dog the time they need to truly blossom, Rocky will reward you with unwavering loyalty, companionship, and a bond that is truly special! Come meet Rocky today and see what this special boy has to offer!

Story
Meet Indie!Indie is a beautiful and spunky 4.5 year old mixed breed girl who’s ready to find her forever home! Miss Indie was adopted from our shelter a couple of years ago, and she has recently found her way back to us through absolutely no fault of her own when her adopter experienced some health issues and could no longer care for her.Indie is an active, energetic, and playful dog who absolutely loves people. She’s outgoing, affectionate, and happiest when she’s spending time with her humans. She has a really goofy personality and loves getting any chance she can to romp and play. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors, going on hikes, or just hanging out together at home, Indie is always excited to be part of the adventure.Even though Indie is an energetic dog who is always up for a good time, she’s also a great house dog—Indie is potty trained and does well in the home environment. Like many enthusiastic pups, she could use a little work on her leash manners, but with consistency and some training, she’ll make a wonderful companion for an active household!Indie is not a big fan of other dogs, for this reason Indie will do best as the only dog in her new home. This girl needs somewhere she can soak up all the love and attention for herself! In return, she’ll give you a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s always ready for the next adventure.Indie is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on all her vaccines. If you’re looking for a playful, people-loving dog to share life with, Indie might just be your girl. Come meet her—you may fall in love!

Story
Meet Boss! This handome 1 year old Red Heeler mix is full of life, personality, and just the right amount of chaos to keep things fun! Boss came to us as a stray after being abandoned by his previous owner. He spent a few days on the run before our animal control team, along with some kind-hearted Good Samaritans, were finally able to bring him to safety—and now he’s ready to start his next chapter with a forever family.Boss is a rowdy, energetic goofball who absolutely lives to play. Toys are his love language, and he’s always ready for a game of fetch, tug, or anything that keeps him moving and engaged. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and before you know it, you’ve got a loyal, fun-loving sidekick eager to join you on every adventure. As a true working dog at heart, Boss has that classic Cattle Dog drive. He’s smart, active, and thrives when he has a job to do—whether that’s learning new tricks, exploring the outdoors, or engaging in interactive play. Because of this, he would do best with an adopter who understands herding breeds and can provide plenty of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and structure.Boss is looking for a home that can match his energy, appreciate his goofy charm, and help guide him into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. If you’re ready for a playful, spirited companion who will keep you on your toes (and laughing along the way), Boss might just be your perfect match!
