Story
I have had Akela since he was 10 weeks old, he just celebrated his 6th birthday 01/06/26. He loves to play fetch and anything to do with toys is his favorite thing in the world. He is great with people but absolutely cannot be around other dogs. I did slowly acclimate him to my ex boyfriends female dog and they got along well and live together for almost 3 years no issues. He would do great in a home with a fenced backyard and no other pets. He hasn’t been around children much and while I believe he would be fine, he doesnt enjoy being hugged on or poked/prodded so a house without children would probably suit him best. He is a very sweet dog and just loves playing and being outside but because he cannot be around other dogs and I do not have a yard for him, with his high energy level it is hard for me to give him the life he deserves. I am willing to drive him however far I need to, as long as I know he is going to a good home where he will be loved and well taken care of.

Meet Lucky Ace! This goofy Lab mix recently arrived to our shelter from our friends at Rescued Pets Movement in New Mexico and we are so excited to help him find an active, adventurous home where he can explore the world! Ace loves everyone he meets and should do well in a home with other friendly dogs that share his energy level. He should also do well in a home with kids that are used to big, dorky dogs! At this time, we are not sure about cats but will update you as we learn more. Ace is learning how to walk on leash and is working on his basic commands. He wants to please and we think he is going to be a super star with a little bit of training and patience.Ace is already neutered, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on his vaccines. Story
Even though the weather is cold outside, Sunshine is still shining! This gorgeous 6 month old spayed female pup just arrived to our shelter and is so excited to find her home in the mountains. Sunshine loves EVERYONE and is very willing to please, although sometimes it can be hard to sit still for this energetic gal! Our friends at Rescued Pets Movement in New Mexico, where Sunshine came from told us: `She arrived as an unclaimed stray, but you would never know it with how confidently and lovingly she greets the world. Sunshine is a total social butterfly who adores other dogs and loves to play, chase, and share joyful moments with her canine friends. Tennis balls are her love language and fetch is her favorite game. If there is a yard involved, Sunshine is already smiling. She is food motivated, knows some basic obedience, walks well on leash, and appears to be potty trained, making her an easy and wonderful companion. Staff can’t get enough of her because she is such a very good girl with a playful heart and a gentle soul.Sunshine would thrive in a home with other dogs where she can play, learn, and shine even brighter. She is affectionate, fun loving, and always ready to be your new sidekick. Life really is better when you let a little Sunshine in.If you are looking for a dog who will bring smiles to your face, warm your heart, and brighten your world every single day, Sunshine is ready to be your new best friend. All she needs is a chance to glow. ??????`Sunshine is already spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed! This girl is going to be the ultimate mountain dog and we can`t wait to see what life has in store for her!

Story
Say hello to Ruby Tuesday! Ruby is around 1 year old and we think she is some unique kind of Bulldog (or some other type of Bully-Breed) Mix who is sweet as can be! Ruby Tuesday has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone she meets both shelter staff, volunteers, and visitors! Ruby came to us when her previous family was no longer able to care for her, but she is so excited for the chance to start life fresh and find a brand new family to love her! Ruby is a loving, people-focused girl who lives for attention and affection. If you’ve got hands for belly rubs, she’s ready to roll right over and soak them up! She adores being close to her humans and would thrive in a home where she can be part of the family and showered with love.Ruby would do best as the only pet in the home, as she does not seem to get along well with other dogs and prefers to have all the attention to herself. She’s happiest when she can relax by your side, go for easy strolls, and enjoy quality one-on-one time.Ruby Tuesday is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and has been given a clean bill of health by our vet. She’s ready to start her next chapter with a family who will give her the forever home she deserves. Come meet Ruby Tuesday and let her wiggle her way into your heart!
