Story
Winston is a 7 year old Dark Golden Retriever, papered, neutered. Has fear aggression with dogs his size and larger. However, small dogs and cats are not a problem for him. He is very affectionate, playful, loves to play with his chuck it balls, and latex toys. Loves to chew on antlers, bare bones, and other tuff chews. Is very good at fetch Winston loves to go on walks and does not potty or poop when walking ! Only does his business in his backyard :). Winston also loves water and snow !!! Loves all humans, large and small. Winston does have a low thyroid, and is on medication for that. Gets bloodwork done twice a year. I am a widow now. My kids have moved out of the house. I work 45 plus hours per week and no longer have the family or the time to pay attention to him as I (we) have in the past. Would like to find a good home for him as he loves attention and can be a great asset to a family, either as an only dog or with smaller animals in the household :)

Insights from PAL Volunteer Foster: Frankie, a charming 3-year-old, may take a bit of time to warm up to new faces, but once he does - he becomes a loyal and affectionate friend. He prefers to be the sole pet in the household due to some jealousy issues but behaves very well around other animals outside the home. He pays them no mind when out on a walk or sharing a fence with them. He just goes about his business with no pulling or signs of aggression.  Home Sweet Home: Frankie is not just house trained; he's a polite and well-behaved companion. While he may need a little time to build trust, once he does, he forms a deep and loving bond with his human family. Outdoor Enthusiast: An adventurer at heart, Frankie loves outdoor activities. He enjoys games like "tug-of-war" and fetch and is an excellent companion for walks, hikes, or even car rides, displaying good leash manners and a calm demeanor. Story
Meet Abby: Your Special Canine Companion Abby is a charming girl who is searching for a home where she can thrive and get the attention she enjoys. Her journey brought her to us as an owner surrender due to unavoidable health issues. A recent DNA test revealed Abby's unique blend of three different hound mixes and border collie. Background: Abby is a bit shy since adapting to the changes in her life. With a patient and loving approach, she is gradually becoming more comfortable. Transitioning to a new home will require a gentle touch and understanding as she settles into her new environment. Needs: This sweet girl craves patience, love, and regular exercise to bring out her best self. Abby is already housebroken and crate trained. However, it's important to note that Abby is not compatible with cats, and a home with children would be not be ideal for her.  Personality: Abby is a smart, loving, and playful companion. Her previous obedience training highlights her potential to be a well-behaved and loyal addition to a loving family. Ideal Home: Abby would thrive in a quiet home with a fenced-in yard, providing her with a safe space to explore and play. A household with minimal activity and fewer people coming and going would suit her well. If you are seeking a devoted furry friend who will appreciate a calm and stable environment, Abby might be the perfect match.
