Whiskey! Male dog who is a great guardian and sweet. I'm the only owner he's had. He cuddles and plays fetch, tug of war, loves food. He doesn't do well with small children. Has to be introduced slowly to another dog. Up to date on his shots and he's 7-8 years old and he's neutered. He's also potty trained. I want him to go to a good home, we can take him to whoever wants him to see if it's a good fit. Please have land for him to roam. Contact (xxx) xxx-xxxx Desiray! Please call me if interested

Story
Freya is 8 month old dog, very hyper from being young and her breed is probably an influence. We haven't had any issues with aggression just normal barking. Very friendly with people but may need some more training, we have only managed the basics (potty outside, kennel, sit) as we are not experienced dog trainers. Keeping her has been too difficult with our busy lives and having a house full of young kids. Hoping to find her a good home, I've had trouble finding one locally.

Story
Meet Ellie, the enchanting black furball with a personality as charming as her appearance. Her little white whiskery beard gives her a distinguished look, and those big, pointy ears add an element of adorable quirkiness. Ellie's button eyes may be small, but they sparkle with intelligence, reflecting her sharp mind and curious thoughts.Despite her cleverness, Ellie is a bit on the shy side, making her all the more endearing. Once you break through her initial reserve, you'll discover a lovey-dovey side to her. She's the ultimate snuggle companion, turning any quiet evening into a cozy affair. Moreover, Ellie has mastered the art of being a great car passenger, making road trips a joy with her calm demeanor and sweet disposition. In her presence, every journey becomes an adventure filled with warmth and companionship. Ellie is not just a bundle of cuteness; she's a well-behaved gem in the household. At 9 years old, she is house-trained to perfection, you can count on her to keep the living space tidy and accident-free. She understands the cues of domesticity with an impressive repertoire of tricks up her furry sleeve. From basic cues to pattern games, Ellie's sharp mind eagerly takes on challenges, making her an engaging companion for those who appreciate intelligence in a four-legged friend. While Ellie may be the ideal partner for adults seeking a loyal and clever companion, she leans towards a serene environment. Her preference for a home without children or other pets reflects her desire for a peaceful haven where she can truly thrive. This discerning choice makes her the perfect match for individuals or couples looking to share their lives with a canine companion who craves a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. In essence, Ellie is not just a charming canine; she's a well-rounded companion who brings both brains and beauty to the table. Her house-trained habits, knowledge of cues, and aversion to the chaotic energy of children and other pets make her an excellent fit for those who appreciate a tranquil yet intellectually stimulating canine presence in their lives. For more information about our adoptable dogs and/or to submit an adoption inquiry, please visit meridianrescue.org.

Story
Snicker's adoption is pending. He is getting a chance to see if he will work out with a prospective adopter. They took advantage of our Foster - to - Adopt program to give him a try in their own home. Meet Snickers! This sweet 10-year-old terrier may be a senior on paper, but in his heart he’s still very much a playful puppy. He loves to run, explore, and soak up every bit of fun life has to offer, bringing a joyful, youthful energy wherever he goes. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or simply being by your side, he’s happiest when he’s part of the action and surrounded by love. He shares a special, unbreakable bond with his sister, Reese, and they’re looking for a forever home where they can stay together. Their connection brings them comfort, confidence, and double the companionship for the lucky family who welcomes them in. If you’re ready to open your home to a loving pair, this spirited terrier and his sister are ready to fill your days with warmth, laughter, and devotion. We're told they are good with other dogs, cats, people of all ages and horses and pigs too! Because they are seniors, they have a reduced adoption fee. And if you are a senior, you get an additional discount for adoptions! Do you have room for these two in your home? It would be great if we could keep them together. Reese and Snickers are being fostered, so call and make an appointment to me them at the shelter. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter. Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information.         Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.         Pet Adoption League  1526 N.
