Story

Lucy is a fun, loving, hyperactive family dog. She loves swimming, running, playing fetch, hunting, and trying to lay in your lap. She is looking for a home with lots of space for her to run and play, a single person with lots of free time or a family with kids a little older as her high energy can sometimes be to much for little baby’s. She does do amazing with kids as I have a 19month old. She does great with cats and some dogs if giving proper time to adjust. We have had issues with her and other dogs. She also does not do well with horses. Unfortunately I am having to move and will not be able to give her the space and freedom that she needs and I’m hoping that someone can give her the home and time that she deserves to have. Stubbs' adoption is pending. He is getting a chance to see if he will work out with a prospective adopter. They took advantage of our Foster - to Adopt program to give him a try in their own home. Stubbs is a Corgi, Mini Aussie mix, so he will need brushing to keep the matts from forming. He is VERY social. Loves people, cats and dogs. Will follow you around like a shadow. Great on a leash. Likes to be petted more than toys but will play fetch. Crate trained. Does not like to be alone for long periods of time. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter. Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.
