Story
Buddy is a rescue. We got him from a shelter that rescued him from a dog fighting ring that he was to be used as a bait dog. He is very loving and even will cuddle when he feels comfortable with you. He does not do well with other dogs while on leash, but at the dog park, he is completely fine but will stay close to me. He has never bitten anyone, he does growl and bark at startling noises like a knock on the door and can act tough, but never acts on it. We have tried to train it out of him with immersion, day care, training facilities, but to no avail. He is just a hyper nervous dog. Great with kids, very loyal. He is a7 year old lab/pit/other mix and has been neutered, weighs approx 45 pounds. We used to live in a house with a fenced backyard until my divorce and that helped a lot; however, moving into an apartment, I unfortunately cannot keep him due to my landlord not allowing him to stay. We hate to give him up, but circumstances dictate that we must.

Noah is such a sweet and loving dog. However, he does have separation anxiety which causes him to bark and scratch at doors. Noah needs a home where someone is home constantly to care for him. He loves people and other animals, but he has not been around kids yet.

Story
My ears are perked, and I am listening passionately. I can hear the birdies chirping from the tree outside my window and I enjoy the musical sounds. I love listening to sounds, especially the sounds of voices. Staff, guests, and volunteers often croon softly to me, and I perk my ears up and listen attentively to show how much I love the attention. And I do love attention! My favorite pastimes are walking by those birdies on beloved walks outdoors, pumpkin treats, and Nyla bones with a dash of peanut butter. Stop in and visit me and watch my ears perk up at the sound of your voice! I am a dashing 4-year-old boy with a physique just shy of 70 lbs. Ask for Logan!

Story
Faya is our rock star-the crown jewel- beautiful and incredible! She is gorgeous and ever so lovely! She has the most beautiful soft brown eyes, a striking colorful coat and the cutest flop over ears. She is hands down one of our favorites. She is wonderful with our staff and we love her to pieces but she deserves a place to call her own-the queen of her castle! She is a relaxed dog that is searching for a home without other fur siblings or small kids. That's just not her jam and will be best set up for success with a relaxed home with just older kids and adults in it. Faya is not in the main public section of the shelter, so be sure to ask for her by name if you come to visit her! Thank you Francescon Portraiture for the beautiful photos of Faya.

Story
Kid Charlie by name, spunky by nature! This very friendly boy certainly knows how to work the room with that big grin. He's obedient and great with other dogs but would also love you to teach him some new tricks. Kid Charlie loves companionship and would be a great dog for a loving family willing to spend the time making him a part of their life. He loves people and LOVES butt scratches! And when we say he loves butt scratches, we mean that he will literally do a little dance with his back legs as you give him butt scratches. And if being the most adorable boy wasn't enough for you, he has also shown off how well he can do around kids at one of our adoption events with lots of people and other dogs around! We aren't sure about cats, as he hasn't been around them, but we think he has the potential to do well in a home with cats with a slow introduction. If you think Kid Charlie would look good walking by your side, you need to run down here to meet him! You might just fall in love with him.
