Story
“You Think I Don't Know Ball?” Meet Emma! At 6 years old, Emma the Pit Bull mix has mastered the art of ball. Fetch? She invented it. Catch? She’s a pro. Tug? Only if you can keep up! With her adorable ears perked and eyes locked in, Emma takes her playtime very seriously - and she wouldn’t have it any other way. But don’t let her athletic skills fool you - Emma’s also a total sweetheart who loves spending time with her favorite people. She’s loyal, affectionate, and will happily snuggle up after she’s proven, once again, that yes… she does know ball. Emma is looking for an experienced adopter who understands her zest for life and can continue her training journey. She’ll need to be the only pet in her home so she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. She’s also part of our Paws Forward Program, which means her adopter will receive 3 free training sessions with Janette from Kind K9s to help Emma keep shining both on and off the field. If you’re ready for a loyal teammate, a goofy best friend, and a champion ball player, Emma is ready to play ball… forever. Can't adopt? Please share!

Looking for a loyal best friend who just wants to be your girl? Meet Dolly, a sweet 3-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of love just waiting to be shared. She absolutely loves going for walks, exploring the world by your side, and then coming home to relax with her favorite person. Because Dolly prefers a calmer environment, she would do best in a home without young children. If you're searching for a dog who wants nothing more than to make you the center of her universe, Dolly is ready to make you the center of hers. Come meet Dolly today! Can't adopt? Please share!

Story
Meet Della, a beautiful 4 year old husky pit bull mix who is patiently waiting for her fresh start this spring. 💛 While she can be a bit shy at first, Della truly shines with a gentle, understanding approach. Once she feels comfortable, she reveals her affectionate, cuddly nature and love for outdoor adventures and belly rubs. Della would thrive with a dog-savvy adopter who can provide the guidance, patience, and active lifestyle she needs to continue building confidence. She is best suited for an adult-only home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to fully relax and form a strong bond with her person. Della’s story is especially meaningful to our shelter. She was deeply loved by longtime volunteer Brian T. Parkinson, who dedicated years to caring for our dogs. As shared in his obituary, “In keeping with his compassionate spirit, Brian’s final wish was to see Della, his favorite shelter dog, find a loving home.” Since his passing in May 2025, Della continues to wait for that special someone. This spring, we hope to honor Brian’s memory by helping Della find the loving home he wished for her. We invite you to visit, learn more about Della, and consider opening your heart and home to this deserving girl. 🐾

Story
Don't let his name fool you - Titan may sound mighty, but this 1-year-old Pit Bull is really just a big softie looking for someone to love. Titan can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little patience (and maybe a few licks of cheese), and you'll quickly discover the giant baby hiding underneath. Once you're in his circle, he's all about affection, companionship, and soaking up your attention. This handsome guy is incredibly food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training and bonding with his new family. Just remember one very important rule: cheese = YES, peanut butter = absolutely not! He's got strong opinions, and peanut butter simply isn't invited to the party. Titan is also part of our Paws Forward Program, which means he's been working on building his confidence and learning new skills while he waits for his forever family. His adopter will receive three free training sessions to help him settle into his new home and set everyone up for success. Titan is ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch, plenty of treats, and someone who will give him the time to blossom into the affectionate, loyal companion we know he is. If you're looking for a best friend with a gentle heart and a goofy personality, Titan is waiting to meet you. Can't adopt? Please share!
