Story
“You Think I Don't Know Ball?” Meet Emma! At 6 years old, Emma the Pit Bull mix has mastered the art of ball. Fetch? She invented it. Catch? She’s a pro. Tug? Only if you can keep up! With her adorable ears perked and eyes locked in, Emma takes her playtime very seriously - and she wouldn’t have it any other way. But don’t let her athletic skills fool you - Emma’s also a total sweetheart who loves spending time with her favorite people. She’s loyal, affectionate, and will happily snuggle up after she’s proven, once again, that yes… she does know ball. Emma is looking for an experienced adopter who understands her zest for life and can continue her training journey. She’ll need to be the only pet in her home so she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. She’s also part of our Paws Forward Program, which means her adopter will receive 3 free training sessions with Janette from Kind K9s to help Emma keep shining both on and off the field. If you’re ready for a loyal teammate, a goofy best friend, and a champion ball player, Emma is ready to play ball… forever. Can't adopt? Please share!

Story
Meet Della, a beautiful 4 year old husky pit bull mix who is patiently waiting for her fresh start this spring. 💛 While she can be a bit shy at first, Della truly shines with a gentle, understanding approach. Once she feels comfortable, she reveals her affectionate, cuddly nature and love for outdoor adventures and belly rubs. Della would thrive with a dog-savvy adopter who can provide the guidance, patience, and active lifestyle she needs to continue building confidence. She is best suited for an adult-only home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to fully relax and form a strong bond with her person. Della’s story is especially meaningful to our shelter. She was deeply loved by longtime volunteer Brian T. Parkinson, who dedicated years to caring for our dogs. As shared in his obituary, “In keeping with his compassionate spirit, Brian’s final wish was to see Della, his favorite shelter dog, find a loving home.” Since his passing in May 2025, Della continues to wait for that special someone. This spring, we hope to honor Brian’s memory by helping Della find the loving home he wished for her. We invite you to visit, learn more about Della, and consider opening your heart and home to this deserving girl. 🐾

Story
Meet Coco – Your Future Adventure Partner! Coco is a 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) with brains, beauty, and boundless energy to match. True to his breed, Coco is smart, driven, and always ready for his next job or adventure. He’s looking for a savvy adopter, ideally someone familiar with Heelers, who understands how important structure, training, and mental enrichment are for a dog like him. Once Coco trusts you, his sweet and loyal side truly shines. He forms strong bonds with his people and is incredibly rewarding for someone willing to put in the time to build that relationship. With his striking good looks and expressive face, it’s hard not to fall for him. Coco would do best in a home without small children, and he may be happiest as the only dog, where he can soak up all the attention and guidance he deserves. He thrives when given clear expectations, consistent routines, and outlets for his energy - think training sessions, enrichment games, and active days. Coco is part of our Paws Forward Program, meaning his future adopter will have 3 free training sessions post adoption with Janette from Kind K9s to help set him up for success. If you’re experienced, active, and looking for a loyal companion who will challenge you in all the best ways, Coco might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see if you’re the person he’s been waiting for. 🐾 Can't adopt? Please share!
