Story
Buddy is a rescue. We got him from a shelter that rescued him from a dog fighting ring that he was to be used as a bait dog. He is very loving and even will cuddle when he feels comfortable with you. He does not do well with other dogs while on leash, but at the dog park, he is completely fine but will stay close to me. He has never bitten anyone, he does growl and bark at startling noises like a knock on the door and can act tough, but never acts on it. We have tried to train it out of him with immersion, day care, training facilities, but to no avail. He is just a hyper nervous dog. Great with kids, very loyal. He is a7 year old lab/pit/other mix and has been neutered, weighs approx 45 pounds. We used to live in a house with a fenced backyard until my divorce and that helped a lot; however, moving into an apartment, I unfortunately cannot keep him due to my landlord not allowing him to stay. We hate to give him up, but circumstances dictate that we must.

Story
Beau is available for adoption if you feel like you are the right family for Beau and want to apply for him please do. XL Canine Rescue is open to having him adopted to a loving family that are wanting to care for him during his final days. If not adopted  he will stay in rescue till he passes. XL Canine Rescue is making him comfortable and making sure he has a love, support, and just plain spoiled rotten during his remaining months.  Name: Beau Breed: Great Dane Mix Gender: Male Color: Tri color Age: 9 yrs Weight: 98 lbs Intake Date: 12/18/21 Special Needs: Unknown Good with Cats? No Good with all dogs?  Yes Good with all kids? Yes Foster Location:  Albany, IL Beau is the happiest boy who just wants to be the center of your world. His tail is always wagging. He loves snacks, snuggles and butt scratches. When Beau first arrived he was a little head-shy but we are working with him and he's realizing head scratches might not be so bad - but not as good as butt scratches of course. Beau is looking for someone who understands that at somepoint during his life he didn't have anything, so sometimes he finds it hard to share his food and toys.  He  would be happy to show off some of his tricks like sitting, laying down, and shaking. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. To apply to adopt from XL Canine Rescue, Ltd just click on the adoption application link on the website. All dogs adopted from XL Canine Rescue are all age appropriate vetted and microchipped. Puppies are on a spayed or neutered contract. For more information about us and our dogs, please visit www.xlcaninerescue.org or email us at xlcr@xlcaninerescue.org. Thank you. ##1281367##
