Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I took Lilly in from an older couple a few months ago. She is a big girl and they were concerned that she might pull one of them down when walking. She is an inside dog, very gentle, does not destroy anything. She loves to lay at my feet, very loyal. She will sit patiently while waiting for food. I have another dog and for the most part they get along great. However, I am coming to understand that I think Lilly is a "one dog" per house, kind of dog. There has been no food aggression, but she does covet her space. She gets a little "testy" when the other dog invades her space. She does OK with cats, pretty much ignores mine. I was really hoping she would blend in with my other dog, but I believe she will be much happier in a home where she is the only dog. She was the only dog with former owners and I think she will be happier being the "queen" again in a one dog home.

Story
Elvis is a little over a year now, and a sweetheart of a young dog. He's a boxer/shepherd/rottweiler mix, so does have some energy to burn. But wow is he a lovely companion! He could run forever so will be a great horse trail ride partner or a running partner for active person(s). Elvis is kennel trained and we think he'd be best in a home with older children since he doesn't quite know his size. LOL. He loves chews toys and has such a good heart that loves people and dogs. As are all EARS dogs, he is neutered and microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and is on monthly preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.If interested in adding Elvis to your family, please submit an adoption application via our website, www.effinghamanimalrescue.com.

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Floyd lived his first four years in a kennel too small for him, barely ever getting out of it. He's learning how to be loved in his foster home, and has come such a long way. He's a Lab& Great Dane mix who is 4.5 years old now. There's still a road ahead of dedication and training that he'll need, so we're searching for the right family that will be able to give him just that kind of love. Floyd is treat motivated, so he's responsive to training; but, does need to eat and drink separate from others. He LOVES to play and run, and is a super toy chewer dog! His foster family is slowly getting to cuddle with him. It's all new to him so patience, understanding and love is the key to this fellow's heart. As are all EARS dogs, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and currently receiving monthly prevention for flea/tick and heartworm. If you're the right family for Floyd, please submit an adoption application via our website, www.effinghamanimalrescue.com.
