Story
Rosie was rescued off the streets on the fall of 2023 very pregnant and in poor health. A week later she gave birth to 11 puppies. Rosie had some medical complications that have been treated. Since then all her puppies found a home but she hasn't. She is suspected to be about 3 to 4 years old. She has been spayed and has her vaccines. Rosie is now house broke, kennel trained, and is great with kids, other dogs, cats, and probably anything else you introduce her to. She is learning basic obedience. She is not at all food aggressive. She hardly barks. She loves snuggles on the couch, treats and toys. She is a happy girl. She is timid when walking on a leash or being outside. She will make anyone a fantastic companion. She is low energy as well and has the best disposition.

Story
Our dog Mitsie is approximately 15 years old and is white in color. Acquired her when she was 2 yrs. old for our youngest daughter. Very mild tempered, gets along with everyone. She is starting to not hear as well, and needs a little help with steps. Our daughter is no longer at home and being a retired couple, we are traveling a little more as time goes by. We feel she would be better off in a home that can give her more attention than we can give her.

Story
Meet Bryan. Our big, beautiful German Shepherd mix who has been here at the shelter for a WHOPPING 453 days. Not only has he been here this long, he hasn’t had a single soul show any interest in adopting him. 😞 He’s around 3-years-old, 70ibs, and has the potential to be SUCH an amazing boy. He needs work on a few small things such as jumping up on people and learning how to play a little more gently—he likes to wrestle and rough house around 🤣 but he wouldn’t harm a fly! Actually that’s a lie… he LOVES chasing flys! 🤣 We’re currently working with him on his manners issues and so far he is making great progress! He’s an active, energetic, playful, and VERY cuddly, loving boy. He likes water, playing tug-of-war, walks great on a leash, is currently doing well learning how to play fetch, and he is SO smart and picks up on new things very quickly!! He’d make a great running buddy, he’d be perfect for someone who likes to stay active, go for lots of walks, hiking in the woods, etc. Or he’d also do fantastic spending his days with his best friend running around the yard and playing at home, then spending his evenings cuddled up with you on the couch. 🥰♥️ His only downfall is that he needs to be the only animal in the home. We know this will make it so much harder to find him a family. But there HAS to be someone out there that can make his dream of having a home and family to call his own come true. 🥺Bryan NEEDS a hero!!! Could that possibly be you? If not, do you know anyone else who might be? If there’s anything you can do to possibly help Bryan, please don’t hesitate to reach out! If you aren’t able to provide a home for him or don’t know anyone who could, please help by spreading the word about him. He deserves so much more than what life has dealt him. Seeing him wither away behind his kennel door day by day is breaking all of our hearts… If you think you can help this sweet boy, you can come visit us at the shelter during our open hours, call 417-358-6402 and ask to speak with the Kennel Manager and/or email neuterorspay@yahoo.com with any questions you might have, or even better… you can go ahead and fill out an adoption application for him on our website! Bryan and all of us at the shelter thank you so much in advance for any help you can give. 💕💕💕
