Story
Rosie was rescued off the streets on the fall of 2023 very pregnant and in poor health. A week later she gave birth to 11 puppies. Rosie had some medical complications that have been treated. Since then all her puppies found a home but she hasn't. She is suspected to be about 3 to 4 years old. She has been spayed and has her vaccines. Rosie is now house broke, kennel trained, and is great with kids, other dogs, cats, and probably anything else you introduce her to. She is learning basic obedience. She is not at all food aggressive. She hardly barks. She loves snuggles on the couch, treats and toys. She is a happy girl. She is timid when walking on a leash or being outside. She will make anyone a fantastic companion. She is low energy as well and has the best disposition.

Story
Guten Tag! My name is Gunter and even though that means "warrior", in my world it means "funny gunny bunny"! My foster mom says I'm great with other dogs, especially younger dogs because older dogs are just not into playing as much as I am! I love my cat foster brother too! I absolutely love going to doggy daycare on the weekends to hang out with all my friends. I never meet a stranger! I'm good with kiddos as well, but I like to wrestle and use my paws, so could scratch or accidentally hurt a little one. I'm proud to say I kennel well, can sit on command, sleep through the night, ride well in a car, am food motivated for easy training, and am potty trained. I'm a typical velcro doggy who REALLY loves my people! If you've got the squeaky toys and are ready to play fetch, we will get along just great! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative! May 6, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comMay 6, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
Hey folks! I'm Ross! I am pretty laid back approximately 9 year old dude (as of Jan 2023) that is just out here living life to the fullest. I spend my days snoozing alongside my foster brother or romping in the backyard sniffing all the glorious great outdoors. Hey... in fact, I would really enjoy a forever family that likes to do some walking outdoors with me. I've been working very hard on getting a bit more fit, and have about 20 more lbs to go before I reach my goal weight! So I would love to have my very own human companion and/or family help me. Let's get fit together! I am smart as a whip, I must say so myself. I kennel trained in like 1.5 days, and don't ever do any of my potty business in the house. I know the rules! I sometimes bark at new humans to remind them I am Ross the Boss, but I chill out pretty quick. I haven't yet been around young children, but I think relaxing with older kids sounds pretty cool. So what do you say? Am I the perfect doggie dude for you? Ross comes to you neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on core vaccines. If interested in adopting, email your request to rockcityrescue@gmail.com, and please include your phone number. (Note, we're not sure if he's been around cats before in a home, but he can be cat tested upon request)May 6, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
Priscilla is a beautiful 7 year old half lab half boxer. She has a lab head and boxer body. Her parents were both wonderful smart gentle dogs. Priss is very smart, minds well and is loyal and a wonderful watch dog. She loves the outdoors and loves to play fetch. She is old enough that she is not wild in the house. She is house trained but you have to let her out fifteen mns after she eats. She is good with kids and adults. She would do well in a country setting or large yard. She does not run off but stays close to home. She has lived her whole life with two-sister dogs and each went with separated parents who could only have one dog. Shes a lovely loving dog. She needs a family with room to run an play with.
