Story
Blue was surrendered due to a change in lifestyle/living situation for his owner. Blue is described as very active and loving boy. His previous home environment is described as chaotic so a calm family would be best for Blue.He loves his walks and being in nature, he loves to run, to collect sticks and to swim in his little pool. Blue is sweet and social and has his own unique personality. Once he finds a routine or a job like collecting sticks he's a very happy boy. Blue is a lucky and he is at a training facility working on his leash and overall manners. We believe in Blue's loving heart and we wanted him to have that extra support because he didn't not get off to the best start in life!Blue's ideal family would be one that is active, agree to transition training (paid by us) to ensure he keeps up with his manners that he has recently learned. Blue would be happiest if he was the only pet in the home. Blue is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. if you're interested in meeting sweet Blue complete a dog application:https://hskl.ca/adopt/

Story
Hi I'm Humphrey,I am a super happy-go-lucky guy that just loves life! I am extremely friendly and really enjoy being around people. I love to play, especially going after balls, I think it's really fun to run around and get a chase. I am good with other dogs, and I have seen cats here at the shelter through the glass and I don't react or mind them at all. I am very puppy like, I do need some training, but I am smart, so with a little consistency and proper training I will learn easily. I am very eager to please, and I don't have a bad bone in my body. I pull on the leash, so that needs some work, and I get so excited to see people and I do jump up sometimes. Just typical puppy stuff! I may be big, but I'm rally just a baby! I haven't never gotten any training, so I just don't know yet how I'm supposed to act. I am motivated very much by balls and toys and also just by love and cuddles. I'm really easy going, and I'm very clean in my kennel. I like being outside and playing and would love to find a family that would spend time with me and take me for walks. I would do well as a playmate for another large dog, or I would be fine on my own with my humans. If you are looking for a lovable addition to your family, come meet me, you will love me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Suki I am a small/med mixed breed dog. Foster mom says I look like a fawn. I am house trained and crate trained. I know basic commands but I am still very fearful and spend a lot of time on my bed or self isolating in my crate. I do like to play with other dogs after a slow introduction. I currently live with 2 small dogs, a cat (who I don't bother with) and another dog my size who I play with and follow her every move, so it’s important I have another dog sibling to help me feel more confident. I'm good on leash and only pull when I'm afraid. Foster mom works full-time so I spend my day crated with a couple toys and treats. I currently am allowed to sleep on the bed at night with my foster mom and siblings and I sleep through the night at the foot of bed. I am good in the car, Foster mom has been taking me to stores to help socialize me, and I am very scared but I trust her so I unwillingly go, but I'm happy to get back in car. I've met a couple of kids under 3 and watched them but stayed away from them. I think I would do best with a quiet, calm home environment. I am a flight risk so a fenced yard is mandatory.  But as I previously said I am nervous and shy so please be patient, I just need time to get to know you. If you have the patience, love, a fenced yard and another dog who will be my best friend, make sure to fill out an application here: https://www.hankshaven.ca/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2023, 11:52 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Sandy!!! Can you please share my post to help me find my forever home!! I have an amazing foster Mom who has helped me immensely. I am spayed, up to date on my vaccines, and microchipped. I am a female mixed breed, small/med sized dog. I came here from Taiwan in November, and since then, I have seen many new things. I am house trained, I've had no accidents at all since my first week. Foster, mom, let's me out every couple hours in the evening, so I haven't really learned how to alert her that I need to go out. I am crate trained, foster mom works full time, so I spend the majority of my day in there with chew toys, a treat filled Kong, and the radio playing. I do get really excited when she lets me out, and I jump and nip at her, a couple of NOs and OFF usually remind me thats not OK. There is a cat currently in my home, and I don't bother with him. I love other dogs, we chase each other and wrestle. It takes me a few minutes when I meet a new dog and I sometimes snarl and yip, but if they give me a few minutes I get over it quickly.I am approximately 1 yr old, so still a puppy and learning. I have lots of puppy energy and love to chew on my toys, so its very important that I have lots of options to chew on. I am not destructive, except for my own toys, the occasional dog bed, and the slippers. I am shy with new people but after a few minutes I'll come up to you looking for some pets, but will run away if I don't know u very well, and you move to quickly or use loud voices. Foster mom says I'm her shadow, I like to be wherever she is. I love all the attention and will push my way in when foster mom is petting my foster siblings. After a long day crated we go for an hour walk, with a large pack and I love to go for walks and easily get my harness and jacket on. I am a bit of a puller, I started out fearful of these other dogs, but now I want to lead the pack. I currently live with 2 small dogs and another 2 fosters my size. I play well with dogs my size. I tried to play with foster moms littles, but they weren't interested, so I was really happy when another playfull dog came. I would like another dog who'll play with me, but it's not mandatory as long as I'll have routine play dates. I sleep through the night, currently in foster moms bed, and I love to cuddle up tight with her and get belly rubs. I'm not allowed on other furniture, and I am happy to rest on my own bed or crate. I eat my meals in my crate not because of any aggressive behavior but because with so many dogs in house, she wants to keep us focused and only eat our own food. They say, "im more flight than fight," and considered a flight risk, so a fenced yard is a must. A tracker is also probably a good idea. I've met a few kids under 3, and I watch them but stay away. I hear older kids outside playing, and their loud, excited voices scare me, so older kids might be ok once I get to know them, but I can't say for sure.
