She has a ton of natural athletic capability, a strong desire to work, and a very intense herding instinct. Because she is highly intelligent, she needs a job to do or an active owner who can channel her focus into agility, training, or fetch. She is fiercely loyal to her main person and has a lot of love to give to the right handler. Due to her strong herding instincts and tendency to get nippy or overstimulated around high energy, Junebug requires a strictly adult-only, kid-free home. She would thrive with someone who understands herding or working breeds (like Heelers or Kelpies) and knows how to give them clear boundaries and mental stimulation. She needs to go to a home where she can transition to being a true indoor companion and be the center of attention. Best as the only pet.

I’m currently hanging out at the Blue Mountain Humane Society, just waiting for someone to crack open a brand-new adventure with me. I weigh 61 lbs of pure goodness and good vibes. I do great on car rides and love a little sightseeing—windows down, ears in the breeze, you know the vibe. I’m an excellent trail walker, super interested in all things nature (especially trees), and I like to check in with my handler while we’re out and about. I even know how to sit! When the adventure winds down, I’m a very affectionate guy who’s ready to soak up all the love. If you’ve already got a dog at home, the shelter recommends scheduling a meet-and-greet so we can make sure we’re the perfect mix.
