Story
Gwen is a half Great Pyrenees, half mixed Labrador Retriever, around 70 lbs. She is a sweet, affectionate dog, but is very shy and quite fearful of people (adults) she doesn't know. Gwen is comfortable with children. She loves being with other dogs, especially dominant dogs. We are rehoming her because she is insecure when alone outside and barks at everything, including the neighbors. We think she would probably do best if placed with a confident dog to help her feel secure, or with someone who can spend more of the day with her than we are able. Gwen currently spends the day outside and sleeps inside the house at night. She is microchipped. She is crate trained, and has taken a basic obedience training class and can walk on a leash.

Story
Hello, my name is Bella, and I'm the bestest girl here at the Blue Mountain Humane Society! I've got a very loveable face and the personality to match! I am a sweet gal who would love to hang around and chill with my people all day! I do great in car rides, and you might've seen me on a couple of my field trips around town! I've been to Park Plaza, Downtown Walla Walla, and Fort Walla Walla, just to name a few. I'm very comfortable being around people, although I can be a bit picky with other dogs. I have a pretty big personality that can sometimes clash with other pups, but I have gotten along with dogs before, so if you have a furry friend at home, the shelter staff recommend bringing them down for a supervised dog meet! I have gone through the Washington State Penitentiary Dog Training Program and graduated with some new tricks up my paws! I know sit, lay down, and I walk pretty politely on the leash! I came in with my buddy Ace, and we are both looking for our fur-ever homes. So if you are interested in either one of us, fill out an adoption application on the BMHS webpage then come on down to say hi! I'll see you soon!

Story
Hey there folks, My name is Gizmo! I'm currently residing down at the Blue Mountain Humane Society in need of a forever family! You may have seen me taking a stroll down at the airport with some BMHS volunteers. I'm a super good boy who loves getting loads of pets and lovins'! In my time here, I've revealed bits of my personality to the nice people taking care of me. I would do best in a home where I can be your only furry friend. I needed some leash training when I got here, since I can get overstimulated seeing other dogs outside, but I have improved a lot in my time here and am very respectful. I do well on car rides and haven't had any accidents in my time here. If you are interested in a chill buddy to add to your family, I might just be the fella for you! If you'd like to meet me, fill out an adoption application and head on down to the shelter where I will be waiting! I'm eager to meet you! If you aren't ready for adoption yet, I'm also looking for a foster home! Contact BMHS if you would like to know more!

Story
Hey you! My name is Martha and I am the sweetest gal you'll ever meet! I have just recently graduated my basic training at Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla! I walk okay on a leash but I can tend to pull sometimes so it's still a work in progress. I love belly rubs and butt scratches, just any kind of cuddles you wanna give, I'm all for it! I did come in as stray so the people here don't know much about my past, but they do know that I love to play with other doggies! I have made fast friends with almost everyone I've met here at the shelter! They always recommend a formal dog meet here at the shelter, so if you have any other pups at home, bring them on down to meet me! If you think a sweet girl like me could be your new bestfriend, fill out an adoption application online then head on over during the shelter's open hours to meet me! I can't wait to say hello!

Story
Hi, my name is Bojack! I am currently staying in a foster home while I look for my fur-ever family. I am very shy and will need lots of love and patience before I feel comfortable with new people. But once I like you, I am very sweet and just want cuddles! I did come in with another dog so I could potentially do good with other dogs but the shelter still recommends a meet here at the shelter. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I can get scared at times and will pull away. I love to play fetch, and after some playtime, I'm the perfect couch potato! If you think you can give me a home where I can get the love and patience I need, please fill out an adoption application online and schedule an appointment to come meet me! I'll see you soon!

Story
Hi, I'm Wyatt! I am a really special boy here at the Blue Mountain Humane Society! I can be a bit timid at first and will take some time to warm up to new people, but as long as your patient and respect my boundaries, I'll be your best friend in no time! I can get overstimulated pretty easily, both around people, and other dogs, so as long as I'm in a calm environment, I'll be a good boy. Underneath my somewhat socially awkward exterior, I am a sweet, fun loving guy with lots of personality! I love squeaky toys and I even have a blanket I like to sleep with at night! If you have other dogs at home, it's recommended to bring them down to meet me to make sure we can be friends! If you are willing to give me a chance to show you my true personality, please fill out an adoption application on the BMHS website and come on down! I'll be waiting for you!
