Story
This is Tulsi. She is a very sweet and beefy girl who loves to run and play. We have put her with multiple different dog in multiple different play groups and she has done wonderfully. She is a hard and rough player though. She loves to play and jump all around another dog. Her favorite play group partner is Timber who is also up for adoption. She loves to be rubbed and when she gets tired she will walk right back to her kennel and lay down. We do suggest meet and greets though with personal pets just to make sure everyone gets along. Volunteer Lucy had this to say about Tulsi"Such a sweet dog, but powerful! I could easily see her knocking someone over with her jumping. She seemed to know sit, and it seemed like working with her to stop jumping was pretty doable, but also, obviously, needs to be continually reinforced. She's a fun dog."

Story
Jackson is a sweet pup with a good bit of personality. We have had him in multiple different play groups and he has played well with other dogs. He loves the companionship of other dogs and people. With other dogs he is a follower and will follow along with what they want to do. He loves to run around in the field when we clean his kennel and then when he is done he will come to you and sometimes kennel him self willingly with some treats. He would be a great dog with a little bit of training he could be the perfect companion to be with you on your adventures. We strongly suggest meet and greets when adopting to make sure everyone gets along.

Story
This is Chicken. He came to the shelter as a stray in June 2023. He likes to move to the beat of his own drum. He does need lots of leash training and takes a while to warm up to people, but is currently doing good with both. Winner Winner is his brother. They both love to go outside to get there zoomies out. They love to run and play. They are sweet, but do need some basic training that kennel staff is working on. We did learn that Chicken does not like baths, but it can be done with some help. He is current on vaccines, microchipped, neutered and heartworm negative.Personality traits: Athletic, Independenthttps://www.petfinder.com/dog/chicken-66321360/sc/conway/horry-county-animal-care-center-sc150/

Story
This is Omega who should have been named Scuba Steve! He loves water and likes to hold his breath and put his hole head under water. He is a big beefy boy, but don't let that fool you. He is a love bug.He is good tempered and just needs a little basic training when it comes to jumping. He can jump all the way to your face and he doesn't know how big of a boy he is. He is easily excitable and may be a bit much for small children. At the end of a busy day, he enjoys spending his meal time alone reflecting on the fun that he can have the next day. We have not tried him with other dogs but we always suggest meet and greets.Temporary Foster Cain/Taylor had this to say: "Omega lived with our other dog. Extremely loving, full of energy and really needs someone who (probably) doesn't work. He needs constant attention. We LOVE Omega. He is a sweet boy, unfortunately our dog was afraid of him. We don't think this is Omega's fault at all. He does jump quite a bit and is very strong. Doesn't really bark and seems to listen to commands well!!! We had a good experience and just hate that we put Omega in a situation to feel like maybe he was finding a home."He is current on his vaccines, microchipped, neutered and heartworm negative.

Story
Old man River is a really laid back dog. He came to us as a stray back in May. When we took him out in the field, he did great with another dog who was calm in nature. He seems to be somewhat housetrained and he is quiet and very calm. Volunteers Michelle and Carl had this to say about River"River is a sweet old boy. He doesn't seem treat motivated, enjoyed getting brushed. He may be housebroken and was so easy on leash. Very friendly. Knows his name. Cry me a "River" if he isn't adopted."He is current on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and heartworm positive.https://www.petfinder.com/dog/river-hw-66139865/sc/conway/horry-county-animal-care-center-sc150/
