Story
Buddy is a one-year-old, handsome fellow. He is part Brittany, part Basset Hound. Buddy had a rough start in life, growing up with 6 of his littermates in the same house after his owner passed away. He was bullied quite a lot and didn't get much human attention. He is making up for that now. He LOVES being with one attentive person. He does not like being left alone and will be by your side every moment that he can. He is very smart and has learned not to jump up on people. He has learned to sit, give a paw, give another paw, and lie down, all within about a month. So the more time you spend with him, the more he will learn.   He does not like being kenneled and will whine loudly if confined. This will need to be worked on.  Buddy enjoys sleeping with his humans at bedtime and will lie quietly on the bed throughout the night. Buddy will need someone who can spend a lot of time with him, and he will need to be crated when left alone. He tends to be very mouthy and will try to investigate and chew on most things, so it’s important to puppy-proof your home. He is also learning to fetch and loves watching and chasing birds. With those long legs, fortunately, he does not attempt to jump fences! Buddy's adoption fee is $400  to offset the cost of vetting and to help other rescues in need. He is currently located in Virginia and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad.  For more information, please contact Leslie Trenta @  leslietrentadesigns.com      March 3, 2026, 7:20 am

Story
Meet Mutt – 65 Pounds of Goofy, Loyal Love Mutt is a 5-year-old sweetheart who was rescued from a shelter almost two years ago and has been deeply loved ever since. Due to major life changes, his owner must relocate across the country to care for her terminally ill mother. This decision is purely circumstantial and absolutely no fault of Mutt’s. Mutt is:• Neutered• Up to date on vaccinations• Crate trained• Approximately 65 lbs Personality:Mutt is the perfect mix of cuddle bug and playful energy. He genuinely believes he is a 15-pound lap dog and will happily climb into your space for affection. He has a goofy, slightly clumsy personality that makes him endlessly endearing. He loves simple joys — especially when he hears the fridge open for ice. He will immediately come sit politely, smiling, waiting for his favorite ice cube treat. Energy Level:He can relax and lounge with the best of them but also enjoys having space to run and stretch his legs. He is currently used to having access to a large fenced property and would thrive in a home with a yard. Ideal Home:• Home with a fenced yard preferred• Older children recommended due to his size and enthusiasm• Someone who can give him consistent attention, love, and activity Mutt is a loyal, affectionate dog who bonds deeply with his people. He deserves a stable, loving home where he can continue being the joyful, devoted companion he has always been. If you are looking for a big-hearted best friend who will cuddle hard, play hard, and love even harder — Mutt is your boy. ##2672799##

Story
Please help. My husband decided he wanted to leave and days later I discovered our dog Remi was pregnant. The plan was to spade her at the earliest appointment available at our local Humane Society which was almost two months out. With his departure my finances are limited for bills and to care for the dogs we have. Spading Remi is still in the words but I cannot afford to care for these puppies and they are free to a good home. Pic with multi dogs is all girls Single pic is a boy
