Story
Brandie is a very sweet senior girl with a calm and loving nature. She enjoys being close to her people and soaks up belly rubs whenever she can get them. In the home, she is quiet, well mannered, and seems to be house trained. Brandie loves to relax while looking out the window. She is content just being near you and observe daily activities. She is gentle, extra affectionate, and happiest in a peaceful environment. She generally does not want to walk far and is easy to handle on leash. She does not pull unless she catches the scent of a deer—she definitely has a built-in radar for wildlife, so she will need a secure leash and fenced yard.  Brandie is a 10-year-old German Shepherd and weighs about 70 pounds. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She will be undergoing eye surgery once she completes her heartworm treatment. Brandie is not quite ready for her forever home yet, but she would greatly benefit from a calm, loving foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can recover and feel safe during her treatment. She is a special senior girl who deserves comfort, kindness, and a soft place to rest. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Story
Loki is a gentle, easygoing boy with a sweet nature. He has been around children and has done well, showing his calm and friendly personality. He enjoys attention and especially loves full body rubs. Loki walks well on a leash and is pleasant to take out for strolls. He also enjoys playtime and likes a good game of chase. At the shelter, he has gotten along with all the dogs he has met and would likely do well with a canine companion.  Loki is a 3-year-old Terrier, born on 12/30/2022, and weighs 60 pounds. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is currently going through heartworm treatment, so he is not quite ready for adoption yet. However, he would greatly benefit from a foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can rest comfortably and recover during treatment. Loki is a kind boy who deserves a loving home to help him heal and thrive. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Story
Duke is a pure breed Great Dane and is an amazing dog. We got him as a second Dane and our work schedules have changed to require much more travel making it harder to manage both dogs. We also recently moved to a house with a smaller yard which is difficult with both dogs. Duke is house trained, crate trained, went through a three week extensive on-site training program, gets along great with other dogs and kids, and is very social. He’d be a great addition for someone without the limitations we have.

Story
Ronnie is a lovable senior with plenty of pep left in his step! At just 7–8 years old and a slightly chunky 16 pounds, he’s the perfect little companion with a fun, goofy personality. He’ll make you laugh with his silly antics, then happily crash out for a cozy nap right after. Ronnie came to us from animal control and is ready for a fresh start with a family to call his own. He’s a sweet soul who may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for his warm, affectionate nature to shine through. He’s both (respectful kids) kid-friendly and dog-friendly, making him a wonderful addition to many types of homes. Ronnie is also house-trained and enjoys being part of the daily routine. Ronnie does have dry eye in one eye and requires a simple prescription medication, but he handles it like a champ and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing companion with a playful spark and a heart of gold, Ronnie might just be your perfect match.
