Meet Liza
This beautiful girl is about 2 years old, spayed, potty trained, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly—and somehow still looking for her forever home.
She came to me a little unsure of people and needed time to decide I was trustworthy. Over the past month, I’ve had the privilege of watching her completely blossom.
Now she seeks me out for attention, follows me around the yard, politely requests booty scratches, and gives the sweetest little gentle kisses. Once you’re in her circle, she wants to be wherever you are.
Her résumé is pretty impressive
DOG Super dog social: She loves other dogs and is happiest wrestling, chasing, and running with her friends.
CAT Cat-friendly: She shows no prey drive toward cats and has been very appropriate around them.
KIDS Gentle with children: She does not jump all over people and has a naturally sweet, respectful way about her.
HOME Potty and kennel trained: She is quiet in a kennel and settles nicely.
QUIET A quiet hound: No obnoxious hound serenades coming from this girl.
CAR Loves car rides: Open the door and she is hopping right in.

Even more to love
LEASH Great leash manners: Liza walks nicely and is a pleasure to take along.
VET Excellent at the vet: She handles veterinary visits beautifully.
PLAY Happy to entertain herself: An antler, bone, or good chew keeps her content.
TREATS Treat motivated: She has zero food aggression, and food is definitely the way to her heart.
Her one criminal offense?
She’s a counter surfer. Leave something tempting within reach and there’s a chance she’ll help herself. Her preferred contraband has included bags of treats and, apparently, bottles of salmon oil. The best part is that she will often proudly bring her loot straight to me, and she has no issue with me taking it away.
The home Liza needs
Liza is not the dog who will fling herself into a stranger’s lap five minutes after meeting them. She needed patience and consistency before she fully trusted me. Watching her realize she is safe—and seeing her personality emerge—has been incredibly rewarding.
Her ideal person will be a calm, confident leader who will not overwhelm her, but also will not baby her insecurities. She needs someone who will give her structure, continue exposing her to the world, build her confidence, and let this sweet girl keep becoming the dog she is meant to be.
She would especially love a home with a playful canine sibling, although the right human is ultimately what matters most.
Once she decides you’re her person…
She’ll be right behind you—probably carrying the bag of treats she stole off your counter.
LIZA DESERVES A FAMILY OF HER OWN
