Story

Asher is a 12-year-old mixed-breed dog who was adopted as a puppy in Corpus Christi, Texas. Asher is full of energy, even at an older age, and loves playing with any type of ball that he can chase down and play fetch with. Asher also loves playing tug-o-war with ropes and going for walks. Asher loves people, often going up to people rather than other dogs while at dog parks. He enjoys running out in the open and having freedom. Asher also loves a good nap and will knock out for hours when cuddled with. I want Asher to continue to enjoy these things with someone or a family that can give him the time he deserves. He truly is a loyal companion. I want him to be with a family that will allow him to live out the rest of his life to the fullest where he can run free and be loved like I have loved him for the past 12 years. Hopefully, somewhere I can visit him from time to time, as I would love to stay in his life.

Scrappy, about 50 lbs About me: My wrinkles may be minimal, but my heart is huge. I'm playful, affectionate, and always down to make new dog friends or join a game in the yard. But my real love language? Finding the coziest heated blanket in the house and melting into it like the snuggle champion I am. I'll happily switch between playmate and professional cuddle buddy — whatever you need. My résumé: House trained â Know sit, lay down, stay, and leave it â Great with kids â Self-appointed security guard — I take 'protect and serve' seriously and have been known to hop the child gate to greet visitors myself, especially new ones. (The gardeners are still on my watch list, sorry not sorry.) A few honest quirks, because I believe in full transparency on the first date: I pull a little on the leash (working on it). Car rides aren't my favorite — I'll whine the whole way, but I'm otherwise a good passenger. Thunderstorms make me nervous. Baths make me an Olympic sprinter, so we've switched to waterless ones. I can be crated, but I don't really enjoy it and tend to rub my nose. Lately I've just been hanging out loose on dog beds in the living room (and sneaking onto the big bed at night — don't tell). Looking for: Someone who'll keep a close eye on me (I'll be doing the same for you), doesn't mind a co-pilot who narrates every car ride, and has unlimited compliments about how handsome I am. Lizzy is an adorable husky, lab mix who is super loyal & a bit of a diva.She is 7 yrs old, I raised her as a rescue pup. She's loved by everyone who meets her.She is an excellent companion.Lizzy would do best with adults/teens. No cats, no dogs, no other animals, no children. Lizzy has a high prey instinct & will go after other animals. She should be socialized leashed.She's leery with new men until she gets to know them. But she's quick to bond and she LOVES people. She loves having visitors over to the house and getting pets from everyone.Lizzy is okay with controlled limited contact w/ other dogs but shouldn't live with other dogs.She loves walks, doing tricks for treats & being close & hanging out with people. She loves her crate, she needs that space that is just hers to go to when she wants some alone time.Doesn't like cuddles but likes closeness. Loves belly rubs. Rarely barks. Doesn't like being outside too long. Indoor dog. Good guard dog. Needs some exercise few times a week.
