I had a family once, and I loved them very much. When my person passed away, there wasn’t a plan for me, so I found myself waiting… and hoping… for another place to belong. I’m very good at belonging. I’m a polite lady—I’m fully housetrained, spayed, and all my shots are up to date. I even had my senior blood work done and got a thumbs-up from the vet. I know how to live in a home, because that’s where I shine. At night, I like to sleep in the bed with you. I promise I don’t take up that much room, and I’m very warm. I get along nicely with other dogs and even cats. I don’t make a fuss—I just like good company. Car rides are one of my favorite things; I’ll hop in and quietly watch the world go by, happy just to be included. I’m not looking for anything fancy. Just a soft place to land, a gentle hand, and someone who won’t mind an old girl leaning in close. If you’ve got room in your heart (and maybe your bed), I’m ready to come home. He and his friend Fiddle who has been adopted, were taken to the local shelter. Poor Rocky had been left in a belly band too long and had a deep wound in his groin area. He also had a heart murmur. With visits to vet specialists, this guy is on cardiac medications and his wound has healed. He has the most gorgeous coat. He walks well on a leash, is housetrained and likes to be near his humans. He is great with other dogs who are similar in energy level to him.
