Story
Portia is a petite long-haired gray tabby.  Portia is low-energy and loving.  She was found as a stray.Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally. May 20, 2024, 8:11 am

Story
Welcome Ms Jovi! This absolutely unreal, woolly gal will make your heart sing. Her past is a rather calamitous one of street life and unkind humans, but there are the rare ones around such as the Good Samaritan that took her in. She's been nursed back to a healthy state and her foster mom was able to truly get to know this fighter of a feline. She's said to be a very gentile soul, quite shy to start though. Give her time and love and she will certainly give it back tenfold. Fostered with other cats, we're happy to report she enjoys their company. Given her previous life, we're not too sure if she would want to be around any dogs or young children. We believe a quiet life is the ticket for Jovi! Do you have a patient and kind heart that you're willing to open? As part of our extended stay program, Jovi's adoption fee has been waived! Fill out an application and let's get a meeting set up.If you are interested in adopting/fostering to adopt, submit an application online at CapeAnnAnimalAid.org/Adopt

We are Speedy and Dolores - a gentle 9 year pair that have lead a quiet life. We are both lap cats, loveable, playful and good company. I am the shyer of our duo and will need a little more time to warm up. Once I do, I love to be pet. We both have thick long coats that need some extra management. The doctor noted a heart murmur at my exam but it doesn't slow me down We'd be best in a quiet pet and child free home.

Dolores watches me and comes our when she's ready. I love to hang out with you and get pets and attention and play with the dangly toys. We both have thick long coats that need some extra management. We'd be best in a quiet pet and child free home.

Not good with kids, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We call her Shoe, like the old woman who lived in one and had too many kids, because apparently she was allowed to breed indiscriminately for 10 years (at least) and was living on an open porch before I took her and 4 kits in. She is spayed now, of course, but she's partially deaf from horrifying ear infections that I cleaned up and have since resolved. She's much calmer after having been spayed and is looking for a quiet home where she can relax and find love. She really does want to be friendly, and she sleeps on a corner of my bed when my other cat is not around.

MEET CLEO!*My adoption fee is waived* Gives Kisses! Check out her fab videos! VOTED 2024 CAT OF THE YEAR by ARL Volunteers and StaffCleo is undeniably gorgeous and joy to be around. She`s a real character and everyone who meets her remarks on her wonderful curious and fun-loving personality. Perhaps Cleo also knows she`s beautiful as she loves to strut around and be part of wherever the action is, often `posing` on just about any surface and sashaying around with her impressively floofy tail held high. Cleo really likes people; in fact, we`ve discovered she`s a lap cat and loves to give kisses! We do, however, think that Cleo really wants to be the only pet in her new home so she can get 100% of the attention. When Cleo arrived, she was being treated for diabetes with insulin and a special diet, which will need to be continued in her new forever home. Come and meet Cleo - she is waiting to meet her public at our Boston location! Cleo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, is spayed, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Cleo or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Cleo Likes Laps!
