Pancho is a striking young shepherd who is in search of a family to call his own! The first thing anyone notices about Pancho is his big ears and gentle eyes. He's a super smart boy and knows how to please his humans. His favorite activity in the whole wide world is fetch. If he could he would definitely play fetch all. day. long. He already knows the commands "sit", "drop it", and "this way" and the foster is working on additional cues with him. Pancho is happy to share his toys with his dog friends - he has shared his ball and teddy with his foster siblings! He follows the pace and cues from other dogs very well. Pancho does well in his crate as long as he's been able to burn off his energy through the day. His favorite way to spend the day is playing fetch or showing you his teddy or his favorite ball. He really enjoys taking walks and hanging with his humans in the backyard while they garden (but you better be prepared to multi-task because he'll bring his ball to you)! If you're not a gardener, he'll also hang on the couch and watch tv with you. Typical for his breed mix, Pancho is a hard worker and extra smart. Pancho would do best in a home that is willing to work with him on some fun activities like barn hunts, nose work, or some other mental stimulation activities to fulfill his needs. Brandi and her sister have been with us for quite a few months, their siblings have been adopted and doing great in their homes. She would love a home to call her own! She is currently in a home with other dogs and a cat and does wonderfully with everyone. Brandi can be shy at first, but is cuddly and loving once she gets to know you. She is very agile and would probably do great with some agility training! She is house trained and does great in a crate! She is looking for an active home who enjoys outdoor activities. She would love a fenced in yard because she loves to play outside. Right now, she is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring her to their new family, once they are adopted! Love is a very sweet girl but was a little unsure on our walk. She walked very close to me, sometimes got caught in between my legs, circled us. Kind of a typical anxious GSD. She settled some as our walk continued. She enjoyed getting pets and attention from me and being pressed against me. She does take treats very quickly, so open palm only. I used the `find it` game to avoid handing treats directly and give her brain a chance to focus on something. It didn`t seem like she was super familiar with a leash or at least wasn`t a fan of the slip lead. When she got to the end of it, wanted to go in a different direction, or when I needed to redirect her, she would spin once and try to evade or give the leash a single bite near the connection to her neck. It did not escalate beyond this and she would continue on the walk fine. -Volunteer
