To learn more about Frank, please contact dogs@lostdogrescue.org Frank will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events* Hi, I'm Frank! I have been told that I am such a good boy! I love everybody! I'm housetrained, and I'll be fine while you are away at work. I know sit, down, paw, roll. My favorite thing in the world is playing with my toys. I'm an excellent squeaker extractor and can chew up tennis balls like there's no tomorrow. But don't worry, I know my stuff from yours, so your shoes are safe around me. What I really want is for you to throw a ball so I can catch it. That never gets old. A nice yard to play in would be perfect. I love walks and am great meeting other dogs. I sometimes get a bit excited, but it's just because I want to say hello. Another dog in the house would be fine. I have food allergies, so I'm on a special dog food and a daily allergy pill. Just toss the pill in my food, and I'll gobble it up. I'm so easy! I'm just a happy dog who's looking forward to meeting you!

To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) Meet Denise, a joyful 7-year-old German Shepherd mix with the heart of a youngster! At 69lbs, she’s full of energy and affection. Denise absolutely loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, and tug-of-war, making her the perfect playtime companion. She adores being around people and is always eager to join in on the fun—but she’s also content to wait quietly for your return. Denise has learned some basic commands like sit, shake, and down. Denise has a big heart for kids and loves to be around them. She's fully house-trained and crate-trained for road trips, where she does wonderfully in motels. Her ideal home is one without cats, as she’s not fond of them, but she gets along well with other dogs. If you're ready to bring a fun-loving, playful pup into your life who will always greet you with joy and loyalty, Denise is the dog for you! She's looking for a loving family that will continue to help her learn and grow, offering her the happy life she truly deserves.

Story
Introducing, Lucas! Have you ever seen a more handsome pup? We haven't either! But Lucas is more than just a pretty face, he is a wonderful dog as well. Lucas is about a year old and 65 lbs. Sadly, he was left in an outside kennel at a rural shelter skinny and with a neck wound. He tested positive for Heartworm Disease and has finalized his treatment and is now ready to find his forever home. Lucas is a fun loving dog! He is great with other dogs and is having the time of his life running and playing with his foster siblings. He lives for being loved on and is super sweet. If you enjoy taking your dog with you on adventures, Lucas is happy to join and rides very well in the car. Interested in learning more about Lucas? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt

Story
Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Snuggles fetch and food!  What do these things have in common?  Ranger!  These just happen to be his most favorite things!  If you too love puppy snuggles then he’s the guy for you.   After a seemingly never ending game of fetch, Ranger will happily settle down and chill with a chew bone or even better a nap snuggled up next to his favorite person.   Food is up next on his list of faves, which makes him an ideal candidate for training! He loves to learn and picks up new skills so quickly.  All he needs is a new family to continue his education. It’s hard to believe this adorable guy was taken to a shelter in SW VA after being hit by a car and no one claimed him.  After being cleared by a vet he was able to be transferred to Mutts for a chance at a better life!  It’s taken some time for us to really get to know him but after spending quality time in not one, but two foster homes (he’s so popular two foster families are sharing his time!), we’ve discovered what an amazing boy Ranger is! To note, Ranger can be uncomfortable and reactive to some dogs while on leash.  We feel with the right fear free training, time and patience, this can be managed and improved.  Ranger has had some good play sessions with female dogs and was able to coexist in a foster home with calm, female dogs.  At this time it is best for Ranger to live in a single family home with a fenced yard where his interactions around other dogs can be managed.  He is able to go for walks with a plan and lots of treats for distractions.  Trust us when we say this love bug will be worth all the extra effort!  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Upcoming adoption events: Saturday April 26th 12 - 3 pm Weber's Pet Supermarket; 2280 Hunnters Wood Plaza; Reston     Saturday May 3rd 12 - 3 pm Weber's Pet Supermarket; 11135 Lee Highway; Fairfax     Saturday May 10th 12 - 4 pm Eavesdrop Brewery; 7285 Centreville Rd. Manassas, VA      Saturday May 17th 12-3 pm Weber's Pet Supermarket; 11135 Lee Highway; Fairfax     Saturday May 24th 12 - 3 pm Weber's Pet Supermarket; 2280 Hunnters Wood Plaza; Reston       We are always desperate for foster homes, now more than ever. If you are interested in fostering, please complete an application... unless you are a previous adopter/foster, then you can just contact us via phone (703-988-2608) or email (adopt@muttloverescue.org) to tell us which dog you want to foster!      For information on sponsoring this dog, please write to adopt@muttloverescue.org.   WE NEED FOSTER HOMES!
