*Woof* I`m in a foster home. To meet me, please reach out to heather.nicole.d@gmail.comKobe has heartworm which means he needs rest and to be calm while he gets fixed up. The good thing is that HRA will take care of all his treatments free of charge if you adopt him.Kobe has the most amazing pips over his eyes! And they say the bigger the pips, the sweeter the dog - and that`s all so true for precious Kobe. He has the most darling tail wag - combined with his puppy dog eyes, he is irresistible! He`s a petite fellow at about 25lbs.Kobe is seeking a fabulous home with adopters that can help him. He does need to be calm and quiet during his treatments. The HRA staff can tell you more about the care (and it`s really so easy!) he will need while he heals. Can you give this wonderful, friendly pup the grand home he so needs? He will be so grateful. Meet Kobe soon.

Story
This 5-year-old German Shepherd/American Pit Bull Terrier mix is a loving, affectionate, and deeply loyal companion seeking a stable, patient home. He has a gentle nature with the people he knows and bonds closely with his primary caregivers. He enjoys cuddling, sleeping close, and being near his person, and he has a calm, sweet temperament in a familiar environment. He has previous experience living with another dog and did well in that home. However, he can be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, cats, and new people, so slow, structured introductions and consistent guidance are essential. He also experiences some separation anxiety and is best suited for an adopter who can provide routine, reassurance, and companionship. On walks, he is curious and enjoys exploring—especially when he finds acorns or fresh grass to nibble. Indoors, he settles well and is affectionate, gentle, and eager to please. He is being rehomed solely due to a family move and is not being surrendered for behavior

Story
Luna is a spayed 8 year old pure breed, white/light tan German Shepherd. Luna is mostly an inside dog that is house and crate trained. She follows basic commands, doesn't jump on people, doesn't snatch food from the table, or from people's hands, unless given to her. Luna loves being pet, going on walks (especially in the snow), getting in the water (creeks, beaches, etc.), taking naps in the couch and in her crate, eating cheese, cookies and all sorts of treats. Luna is great in long drives and being alone at the house by herself, and she is great with kids, other dogs, and cats. Overall, luna is a great companion. Luna doesn't mind loud noises, like vacuums, thunder or fireworks. However, she dislikes her fur being blow dried.

This sweet Georgia girl is looking for her forever home.  She is your typical sweet big pup who loves others dogs and people. Adele prefers a more rural home (did not do well in foster in downtown DC) and without a lot of in and out traffic in the home. She LOVES to play with other pups and is great in her crate (she is happy to go in with a bone for an afternoon nap and at night), so if she can find the right home to work through her quirks, she could be the great fit. She would do best in a home with older children or teens. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly and is very food motivated! Adele also knows how to use a doggy door. Could yours be the home of Adele's dreams? Submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org.Sponsor Me!
