Story
Hi! I’m Dunne, aka Dune-buggy or Duners. Just thought I would stop in with a little update on me. If you’ve read my profile before you may know that I’m originally from Afghanistan and spent my first few years there. Because of my time there, we don’t know much about my previous life except that I was a street dog and didn’t live in a house. Now for the good update part. I’m really liking and getting the hang of this house living thing. The people and other dog I live with have been teaching me a lot of stuff and because of that I feel safer and more comfortable and confident so I do not need to always follow my temporary mom around everywhere she goes in the house. She keeps telling me that I am almost there to being a perfect gentleman. I now sit and wait for my food until I am told I can have it. Same with treats, I don’t try to grab it out of their hand. I do at times have a little too much energy and get a little too excited so I jump around or run up and down the stairs. So little kids or adults that aren’t steady on their feet might not be a good thing. I’m working on it, but sometimes I’m just too excited!!! I have learned to walk nicely on a leash. I stick pretty close to either person walking with me and do well when the other dog here is walking with too, but prefer to be with my foster mom if it’s a group walk. I get scared though of other dogs out or on leashes and tend to get a little reactive. We are working on it, but it’s hard to get over that fear. The people here have learned that I am not a fan of my kennel. I won’t fight it when they leave since the other dog here is already in his, but I get very scared to be in there. At night I don’t have to go in there at all now. This makes me so happy and grateful that I curl up and don’t move all night until it’s time to get up in the morning. Sudden movements too close to me or someone reaching out makes me nervous and cower. I am a lot better than I used to be, but it’s still a work in progress. I’m hoping to find a home that can continue to be more relaxed and patient with me as I continue on this learning journey. I like to lay around and relax most of the time and content with watching the world go by in the yard or deck as mom is tending to her gardens. I am a fast runner and need to get that energy out sometimes, so a fenced yard where I can run or someone that will take me on adventures to get that energy out would be ideal. I love to curl up on the couch with either foster parent and just be with them. Are you ready to be my cuddle partner?       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 10, 2025, 7:15 am

Age: Approximately 3 years old Weight: 72lbs Dog friendly: Yes, with proper introduction Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: When properly introduced Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Unknown ***FENCED YARD REQUIRED*** Hello! My name is Lewis but I am often called Lou If you are looking for a friend to watch whatever shows you want on tv I am your guy! If you are looking for someone that loves to chill on the couch with then I am your guy! If you are looking for someone to take walks with or even go for a jog with them I am also your guy as I love to go on walks! I love my humans and get attached to them, so it would be best if I was your one and only fur baby! I do like kids but have never been around real little kids so you may have to watch that I don’t knock them over as I would feel bad. I would love to be with someone who isn’t gone all the time as I will miss them so much. I roam free when my humans are gone and do fine with that, although I do have a habit of counter surfing so its best if you do not leave any food on the counter for me to snack on. I am told that I am the sweetest boy and would love to find my forever home so you can see that too. Lou Adoption Fee: $495

Story
History: Jaxby is an adorable kiddo who went unclaimed from a local impound. He is very puppy yet and still working on learning manners and basic obedience. He hopes to find his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: We have come to adore this little dude! He is a year old (approx), and he has settled down from his puppy hood. When he gets overly stimulated, the puppy does come out! Grabbing sleeves when he gets too excited gets to be too fun for him, so we need to let him settle down. He does well with this. He has been great on the potty training. He walks to the door when he needs to do his business. He does love to sit outside on a long rope. Too bad it has been so cold to let him stay out too long. He doesn't bark if a person or dog walks by, just sits and wags his tail! What a good boy! He loves to chew on bones or Kongs. He also loves to play catch, but tennis balls will be de-fuzzed! We kennel him at night and when we are going out. All day kenneling may be difficult for him since he is active. Jaxby loves hugs and pets. He will be your cuddle buddy! He is incredibly loving! Plus, he has the softest fur ever!!! He has an appt for neutering on Feb 19th at Coco's Heart. His shots are up to date. He loves to play with the grandkids, but does need to be reminded to not get too excited! Our grandchildren are 6 and 3. He loves other dogs, not sure on cats. He will need some work on learning to walk on a leash. We haven't been able to work much on that due to the below zero weather. Jaxby will be a loving addition to any family.

Story
History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! A Note from the Foster: Meet the best boy, lover of love, happiest of dogs, future best friend and adventure buddy, Zachary! This guy is a true GEM, a total goofball with a heart of gold and just the right amount of playfulness, attentiveness and affection. After a rough start to life, he is eager to be welcomed into a loving family of his very own! Texas listed Zachary as a golden/shepherd mix, though he also gives definite lab vibes… what an incredible combination! He’s estimated to be around one year old, is 65 lbs with still a little room to grow into his long lanky legs and tall frame. He doesn’t realize his large size, has zero awareness of personal space, and finds it endlessly entertaining to be by your side. Going to the bathroom, sweet, he’ll join you! Laying on the couch, he’ll lay right on top of you for a tummy scratch! Have some yummy food you’re eating, awesome, he’ll have some! Want to take a selfie with him, he’s already smiling pretty for the camera! This boy loves food, is easily trained, sleeps through the night, is quiet in his crate and is potty trained. He will let out the occasional bark at something suspicious outside and will also whine with excitement when he gets to see you after any amount of time away, otherwise he’s a pretty quiet guy! He takes redirection well and just needs to learn some basic puppy manners and he’ll be the perfect roommate. Zachary is people friendly, LOVES our kids, is dog friendly and would do great in almost any family situation. He hasn’t been around cats would likely do best in a home without small children as he doesn’t realize his size and could accidentally knock someone over. Zachary was found to have arthritis in his left front leg due to some kind of trauma before he came to us, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. He really is the best and won’t be available for long, send in your application today if you can be the loving family this sweet boy deserves!
