Peppy Pigtails is spunky, silly, and so much fun! She is an aussie/lab type mix with the herding dog personality. She loves toys, loves to play, loves to chase a flirt pole around, and loves to go hiking and adventures. Pigtails was found as an unclaimed stray chasing kids at the fire station. She didn’t mean to scare them, she just wanted to herd them into a neat little group-aussie genetics at their finest! Pigtails would be best in a home with older kids and/or a home who understands herding breed tendencies with younger kids. She is excellent with other dogs and loves to play. If you are looking for a companion and playmate for your pooch, Pigtails would be perfect! We have not yet tested her with cats but suspect she’ll need a cat-free home. Odin is being fostered in East TN, no worries though out of state welcomed! If you are seeing this on Adopt a Pet his adoption feed includes his cost of transport to your area! We use Rescue Riders for all our pet transport needs because they are so wonderful to our babies! East TN, out of state welcome! Meet Odin! This handsome lad is a snuggler like nobody’s business. He loves the water and loves to swim. He is sweet to everyone people and dogs alike. He is very skittish of meeting new people and will run as fast and far away from them as possible however once he knows you he loves you fiercely. He will probably take a few days to a week to trust you . He is fearful of strangers and may pee on himself if he is spooked but this is just a fear response and not a potty training issue he is house trained, He is not dog park material due to his fear of new people. He is learning to become more confident everyday with his amazing foster mom and hopefully he can overcome his fear of new people and things. An apartment type setting would not be best for Odin he will need a large yard to run and play in. He has anxiety in the crate and does not do well and will harm himself if left alone in the crate. He is doing fantastic out of the crate but will need to be let out to potty after four to five hours He craves human attention and is a Velcro dog. He is active and the more exercise he gets the less stress and anxious he is when he is left alone. The old saying a tired dog is a good dog stands true for this boy. Mental and physical stimulation will be best for him. He has a great recall once he knows you. A home with older children would be best without lots of loud sudden noises and voices. A home that doesn’t have as much traffic and changes will be good for him. A home with a confident but not dominant dog would be amazing for him and if you have access to a lake or stream or swimming pool etc he will be in heaven. Molly is a very sweet Miniature Golden Retriever that we got as a puppy from a breeder. She stole our hearts from day one. She is definitely a "velcro dog" and wants to be near you at all times. Her birthday is September 28, 2015, so she just turned 9. Molly is still playful in her older age, but has never been one for very log walks. She doesn't handle being outside for a long period of time if it's hot out there! Several years ago, she was bitten in the neck by a much bigger dog and has since not been good in the company of other dogs. She wants to be, but doesn't react well when up close. She needs an owner to want a snuggly companion and attention. My only reason for needing to re home her, is I am no longer able to attend to her as I used to with a job change and now I will be relocating. She deserves more attention than I can give her. She is full of love and you will adore her!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Noodle and his sister Strudel were dumped in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are high energy puppies and are very loving. They want to play with everything... goats, cows, people, other dogs and cats (dog savvy cats would be best). They will be altered prior to adoption however before that happens they will be available for foster or foster to adopt. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Noodle came up to MN from a TX high-kill shelter with his sister, Strudel. He’s a Retriever/Hound mix (best guess) and under a year old. Dog friendly. He has soft, floppy ears and paws that are too big for his body. He’s got a wiggly walk, which makes his name fitting. He’s gentle, yet spunky. He does well on a leash, but still learning. Walks with him are a lot of stops to sniff (which is great for tiring him out) but then it’s “zooom” to the next spot, to find the best sniff. He likes to carry things around on his mouth for comfort (stuffies are great for this). He’s wonderful in his kennel (no accidents to date). Loves to snuggle on the couch and will come to you anytime for all the head scratches. He is curious and still needs a lot of supervision for his safety (and to make sure things don’t get chewed on). Oh and he lives with a cat, and they have learned to respect each other’s space. He’s met kids, and mostly is indifferent. He’s pretty confident,and positive reinforcement keeps that going. He’s an all-around good dog looking for a forever family. First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vet visit.
