While he may need a gentle reminder now and then to curb his begging or excitement, he’s eager to please and quick to follow simple commands. Hi! My name is Russell and I am from Minnesota. From his foster: Russell is a golden doodle mixed with a Great Pyrenees . He is going to grow into a big boy. My guess is around 100 pounds. He will shed even though he has a portion of poodle in him. Great Pyrenees were originally working dogs that would help guard and protect their herd. If they don't have a herd they are very loyal and protective over their family. I already see this trait in Russell as he loves to sit in the middle of my backyard and keep watch on predators. He does not like being outside on hot days and would rather be in the air conditioning with all his floof. If he sees something he will bark and that is also part of their instinct to scare off predators. To train him not to bark would be difficult since he thinks he's just doing his job. I really don't think he would do well in an apartment or something with shared walls. Other than that he is a brave, adventurous, big fluffy mini cow. He loves to be with his people. Loves to play with my resident golden retriever and when he gets tired he'll walk up to ya with his huge floppy feet and come cuddle. He is super good about doing his business outside if you keep him on a good two hour routine. He doesn't really like being in his play pen/kennel and has been pretty spoiled that the last few weeks being able to be in it with his brother for maybe two hours a day, if that. He sleeps through the night if I take him out around 11pm and usually gets up around 7am- 8 ish. He loves sleeping on the floor in my room on my body pillow and won't make a peep. He is a really good pup with the right amount of stimulation throughout the day.

Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm  Candycorn !  I'm a beautiful lady who came into rescue with some secret cargo in my tummy.  I was a good mama and raised my babies and sent them all on to new homes.  Now it's my turn!  With new people and in new places I'll admit I get nervous and I either find a safe corner to hide in or I'll possibly bark.  At home with my foster mama where I'm familiar with things I'm a completely different dog.  I have the bestest happy smile, my tail doesn't stop wagging and I get the cutest dance and zoomies.  I gently jump against my fosters mamas leg so she can give me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I kiss back!  When she stops I gently put my paw on her arm so she knows I want more.  I also love when she gives me chin and cheek scratches and I should probably mention tummy rubs are great too.     I get along great with all dogs and like to chase and wrestle when they're my friends.  I would do best having a doggie sibling in my new home so they can help me learn the routine in my new home and help me be more confident.     At home I am learning to walk on leash.  It's going great since I trust my foster mom.  It's fun jumping around in the grass and feeling the sun shine down on my face and the wind in my fur.  I haven't pottied on leash yet for her, but I do know that I should do all my business a fenced area so I do request one in my home.   I am kennel trained and I never potty in it.  I'm too smart for that!  I'm usually quiet in it too.  I know it's a safe spot when I need it too, though I prefer to be out hanging around my mom's feet instead.  When she's working I'm usually laying under her desk close to her in case she needs me.  You get treats there and pets haha!   I really like toys!  The soft ones are my favorite to chew on. I never had toys before rescue. I don't always like to share them, but I've learned mom will trade me for them and she'll gently play tug of war with me.     I haven't met any kids yet, but I think I'd be ok with older respectful kids who would be kind and gentle with me.  Fast movement and loud noises are overwhelming and I don't want to get scared and have to run and hide.  A quiet home where I can be a spoiled princess would be awesome.     Come and meet me and I promise you'll find that with a little time to learn that I'm safe and can trust you with my heart that you'll find a loving and loyal family member in me that will love you unconditionally! Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. The look of fear I had is now happy and curious most of the time.  I'd do best in a quiet home with no kids.  Their sudden movements and noises would be too scary for me and I don't want to have to hide.  I want to be able to follow you around so I can see what you're doing.  I'm doing well with being held and gentle scratches from my foster mama.  I know I can trust her.  I will admit I sometimes still get overwhelmed when approached and might potty myself.  When she needs to pick me up she says ready and scoops in me close to her.  Oddly enough, I like being groomed.  I'm good in the tub, stay still when she towel dries me and I'm not scared of the hair dryer.  I even seem to enjoy being brushed.  Maybe I just like being pampered haha!  I haven't figured out toys though I watch others with them.  I do need a secure yard and I know I'm supposed to do my business out there. I'm still working on the potty training though. I do also need a confident doggie friend that I can follow so I can learn the routine in my new home. Don't worry because I'm smart and catch on pretty quick. When I'm with my doggie friends outside I'm like a totally different dog.  I'm all smiles and carefree and will wrestle and do zoomies with any dog.  My kennel is my safe place and I will pop in and out of it during the day.  If the door is closed I feel a bit more confident and will give a little huff like I'm saying this is my space.  Don't worry because I'm actually a gentle little lamb that wouldn't hurt a fly.  If you have room in your heart and are kind and patient and willing to help me continue my journey into becoming who I was meant to be, then I'll take a breath and do my best to be brave when we meet. I’m Phoebe, a 2-year-old Mini Doodle with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’m super friendly and absolutely love attention. In fact, I love it so much that I’ll gently swat you with my paw if you’re not giving me enough pets. And if there’s another dog around, I might just give them a little body bump to make sure I get the most love! It would be best if there were no small children in my forever home, as I get a little over excited. Potty training is going great! I love running, chasing, chewing on bones and getting head scratches. I’m not a big fan of going into my kennel and need a little encouragement to go in. I'm note sure it is my favorite thing, but with a few minutes I settle down and sleep through the night. When it comes to walks, I do have a bit of a prey drive, so I use a double leash attached to both my harness and collar to make sure I’m safe, especially when I spot squirrels or rabbits. A fenced yard is required for me since I love running around and playing chase with other dogs. I do like to patrol the fence for any openings and critters, so I can’t be left outside alone. I’m a playful, loving girl who’s looking for a home where I can get lots of attention and exercise. Meet Truffles! Truffles is an adorable & exuberant 7 month old puppy with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. She has a genetic condition that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual.
