You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Snickers, but my family calls me Snicks! I am a sweet golden retriever pup born 11/26/22. I came from a breeder release a few weeks ago. When I came into rescue, I was very timid and scared of everything except other dogs. My foster family worked very hard with me to gain my trust and I have made huge strides with trusting them! I came into rescue with Entropion eyelids- my eyelashes were flipped into my eyes, but the amazing vet did surgery to correct it and I have been healing great! I got a cool superhero face mask hair cut! I love to play and I will require my new home to have another resident pup for me to play with! I am just really wanting a best friend in my new home who I can trust right away!! I am good with dogs, cats, and all humans (though, sometimes I do require some time to warm up to humans). My kitty siblings smell funny, and sometimes swat at me but I learned that if I leave them alone, they will leave me alone too! My dog siblings are teaching me proper manners because I am a silly pup who just wants to be in your face all the time. Mom said I am doing a good job on my potty training, and as long as I go out on a good schedule I usually don’t struggle with accidents. I never pee in my kennel. I like to keep it clean. Speaking of kennels, I love to use mine as my safe place. Mom keeps it in the main area of the house and when I'm feeling overwhelmed, I'll just go sit inside it and watch the activities around me. I will sometimes bark in it but it's only when you're leaving me home. I sleep all night in my crate (usually around 8-10 hours) without a single peep. I am learning to walk on a leash- if dad puts my gentle lead on, I walk very well but I will do the golden flop and just lay down when I have had enough of it. I can walk without it, but I do tend to zig-zag around as it's new to me. I am officially ready to start looking for my new home! Is that with you?
