Silas is a one year-old golden or lab mix. Silas was rescued as a very young puppy from Louisiana and has been living in northern Minnesota with four other dogs, a cat, and an infant. His family recently realized that they could no longer care for such a large number of animals and Silas and two of his friends were surrendered to a local shelter. Silas is a very sweet dog who is house trained, and crate trained. He walks well on a leash and is quite the little charmer. He will be a good fit for a variety of homes. Silas is currently fostered near Crystal Minnesota. Part of the adoption process is coming to meet at the dogs location. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm  Candycorn !  I'm a beautiful lady who came into rescue with some secret cargo in my tummy.  I was a good mama and raised my babies and sent them all on to new homes.  Now it's my turn!  With new people and in new places I'll admit I get nervous and I either find a safe corner to hide in or I'll possibly bark.  At home with my foster mama where I'm familiar with things I'm a completely different dog.  I have the bestest happy smile, my tail doesn't stop wagging and I get the cutest dance and zoomies.  I gently jump against my fosters mamas leg so she can give me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I kiss back!  When she stops I gently put my paw on her arm so she knows I want more.  I also love when she gives me chin and cheek scratches and I should probably mention tummy rubs are great too.     I get along great with all dogs and like to chase and wrestle when they're my friends.  I would do best having a doggie sibling in my new home so they can help me learn the routine in my new home and help me be more confident.     At home I am learning to walk on leash.  It's going great since I trust my foster mom.  It's fun jumping around in the grass and feeling the sun shine down on my face and the wind in my fur.  I haven't pottied on leash yet for her, but I do know that I should do all my business a fenced area so I do request one in my home.   I am kennel trained and I never potty in it.  I'm too smart for that!  I'm usually quiet in it too.  I know it's a safe spot when I need it too, though I prefer to be out hanging around my mom's feet instead.  When she's working I'm usually laying under her desk close to her in case she needs me.  You get treats there and pets haha!   I really like toys!  The soft ones are my favorite to chew on. I never had toys before rescue. I don't always like to share them, but I've learned mom will trade me for them and she'll gently play tug of war with me.     I haven't met any kids yet, but I think I'd be ok with older respectful kids who would be kind and gentle with me.  Fast movement and loud noises are overwhelming and I don't want to get scared and have to run and hide.  A quiet home where I can be a spoiled princess would be awesome.     Come and meet me and I promise you'll find that with a little time to learn that I'm safe and can trust you with my heart that you'll find a loving and loyal family member in me that will love you unconditionally! Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Hi! I’m Gypsy! I am a golden retriever mix who’s at that golden age stage where I’m not as active as a puppy but not as slow as a senior. I am about 2.5yrs old (10/2021). Unfortunately, through no fault of my own, I was bounced around a bit between different owners, so I haven’t had a stable home yet. But that’s where YOU come in! I’m hoping my sweet golden eyes with entice you to welcome me into your home forever. With my past of being bounced around, I do have some anxiety (more so in a kennel for long periods) but I do take a daily anxiety medication that helps. Just put it in a pill pocket and I’ll gobble it right up with my morning meal. I love playing with toys, kids, and other dogs. I have been known to be more of a dominant female, but only to some female dogs. I like to sniff cats at first, but then will completely ignore them. I ride great in a car – I love looking out the windows! I am crate trained (although may whine a little at the start knowing you’re going) & house trained. I am a great mix of calm and activity, as you see I will cuddle with you on the couch during the movie times but also would love to have zoomies in a yard or go for a run. Hi! I'm Avery! I'm from Kentucky. From his foster: Avery is a happy go lucky fella who is always on the look for his next treat or scratch. Avery loves playing with his foster dog brother and all the toys. He will often have many toys surrounding him. When he isn't playing, he will be watching over the neighborhood out the window or taking a nap. Avery enjoys leisurely walks around the neighborhood, and is very friendly to anyone he comes in contact with. People love to give Avery pets! He is also friendly to dogs he comes in contact with. We are currently working on crate training and jumping up on people. His forever family will need to be okay with keeping up on brushing his coat, as he may be prone to matted fur, especially behind the ears. If you're looking for a cuddle bug, Avery is your guy! Despite his size, he tries his best to climb on your lap or snuggle in right next to you for a nap.

Hi! I'm Azzura! I'm from Kentucky. From the Foster: Azzura is a sweet girl who loves to be on the couch with you and get all the cuddles and pets. She is very affectionate and loving. She is potty trained and has done well in her kennel. She has started to show us that she is indeed still a puppy. She has a fun, playful, goofy side and still learning on what to do and what not to do. She does have some quirks as she is a shy/timid dog in certain situations. Meeting new people, going on walks and loud noises can be scary fo her, so she will need someone with patience to help her overcome her fears. But she has come a long way in just the short time with us. Due to this, a quieter home and a fenced yard would probably be best. We have not yet had a lot of interactions with other dogs, and has not been tested with cats or kids. From the Vet: Azzura previously tested positive for Lyme and Ehrlichiosis; two tick borne diseases. She has completed treatment with antibiotics however these results may show up on future screenings. If she is not clinically symptomatic no further treatment would be recommended. We recommend seeking any follow up advice or care from a future primary care vet and keeping her on tick prevention to keep her healthy for many years!

Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
