Story

Lacy is a sweet, playful and curious 3 month old golden retriever mix and is looking for her forever home. She’s your typical puppy, full of energy and curiosity, with lots of learning still to do, but she is making great progress and picking things up quickly! Lacy loves people and enjoys being close to and interacting with her humans. She loves giving kisses and following her foster parents around the house to see what they’re up to (especially if it involves making food). She’s a playful girl who enjoys all kinds of toys, and when she’s ready for some downtime, she loves chewing on bones and treat puzzle toys. Lacy is also a very smart and food-motivated girl. She responds well to training and knows sit, lay down, and kennel up. She enjoys playing with other dogs and is excited to have canine friends around. Like most puppies her age, she is still learning appropriate play manners. She is in the phase where she likes to nibble hands, clothes and just about anything she can reach. She’s learning that people aren’t chew toys and is working on redirecting that puppy energy toward toys and chews. Lacy is also still building confidence when she encounters new people, sounds or things in her environment. She may bark when something catches her off guard or she isn’t quite sure about it, but she typically warms up quickly once she realizes everything is okay. She is doing really well with her crate and potty training! Lacy sleeps quietly in her crate overnight without accidents. During the day, she spends a few hours at a time in her play pen without accidents. She is continuing to learn potty training and does well throughout the rest of the house when given frequent potty breaks and appropriate supervision. Overall, Lacy is an affectionate and playful puppy who loves being part of the action. She has a fun, curious personality and is already showing how smart and eager to learn she is. She’ll bring plenty of kisses, laughs, and puppy adventures to her forever home! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 16, 2026, 8:48 am

Story

Meet Cooper — A Sweet Senior With a Young-at-Heart Spirit! 🐾 Cooper is back in RAGOM land and ready to find his forever home! At 11 years old, this handsome guy is playful, affectionate, smart, and surprisingly energetic for a senior. Cooper is deaf with very limited hearing, but that hasn’t slowed him down. He quickly learned hand signals for commands like “come,” “sit,” and “go,” and he’s a very eager student. He loves his people, enjoys snuggling, playing fetch, swimming in the lake, and even going for golf cart rides! Cooper does have arthritis, but with medication and shorter walks, he’s moving comfortably and enjoying life. He also deals with seasonal allergies, but medication helps keep symptoms under control. He can be mouthy and excitable during play, so children 15+, who understand his boundaries would be the best fit. He has also shown some reactivity toward other dogs while on leash. His ideal home would be a quiet country setting with a fenced yard where he can safely explore. Most of all, Cooper needs a family committed to making this his forever home—a place where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love, companionship, and plenty of fun. Story

Update 8/12/26 Buffy had a weigh-in last week and is at a total weight loss of 5lbs. She anticipates her morning walks and has reached 1.25 miles. She is still such a happy easy going girl. Could she be the sunshine to brighten your day? Meet Buffy! ☀️ Buffy is a big, sunny, smiley girl with an even bigger heart. Found as a stray in South Dakota, this lovable lady greets each day with a happy face and her signature "helicopter tail" that spins in circles whenever she's excited. Buffy is on an inspiring weight-loss journey, already making progress with daily walks and a healthier diet. She loves peaceful morning strolls, relaxing outside to watch the world go by, and soaking up affection from her favorite people. She's gentle, intelligent, and gets along well with resident dogs she knows, though she can be reactive to unfamiliar dogs on leash and will need continued management and training in those situations. Buffy also has some arthritis, so she takes medication to keep her comfortable and would thrive in a low-key home without lots of stairs. She previously had a benign growth removed from one of her toes, and while it may return in the future, she's currently doing well. If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing companion with a loving spirit, a goofy smile, and endless affection to give, Buffy is ready to find the family who will cheer her on through the rest of her journey.
