Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. ### Meet Jackie! 🤍🐾 If you’ve ever dreamed of having a gentle giant by your side, let us introduce you to Jackie! Jackie is a gorgeous 3-year-old Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix weighing in at **88 pounds of pure sweetness**. While she has some Golden in her, Jackie definitely takes after her Great Pyrenees side—she’s calm, confident, independent, and has that classic Pyr personality. Jackie absolutely **loves people** and is wonderful when meeting new friends. She has a gentle, easygoing nature and would happily spend her days hanging out with her humans and soaking up all the attention. She also has a fun side and enjoys the water, so a little splash time is always a bonus! Now, Jackie does have one thing she’d like to make very clear: **she’s the boss.** 😂 She knows what she wants and isn’t shy about letting the other dogs know it. Because of that, she would do best with another dog who has a more submissive, easygoing personality and isn't looking to challenge her for the executive position. Jackie is the kind of dog who makes an impression—not just because she’s a big, beautiful 88-pound girl, but because she has such a sweet and gentle soul. She loves her people, welcomes new friends, and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a big-hearted best friend. If you’re looking for a **gentle giant with a little “I’m in charge here” attitude**, Jackie may be your girl! 🤍🐾

Story

Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story

Meet Cooper — A Sweet Senior With a Young-at-Heart Spirit! 🐾 Cooper is back in RAGOM land and ready to find his forever home! At 11 years old, this handsome guy is playful, affectionate, smart, and surprisingly energetic for a senior. Cooper is deaf with very limited hearing, but that hasn’t slowed him down. He quickly learned hand signals for commands like “come,” “sit,” and “go,” and he’s a very eager student. He loves his people, enjoys snuggling, playing fetch, swimming in the lake, and even going for golf cart rides! Cooper does have arthritis, but with medication and shorter walks, he’s moving comfortably and enjoying life. He also deals with seasonal allergies, but medication helps keep symptoms under control. He can be mouthy and excitable during play, so children 15+, who understand his boundaries would be the best fit. He has also shown some reactivity toward other dogs while on leash. His ideal home would be a quiet country setting with a fenced yard where he can safely explore. Most of all, Cooper needs a family committed to making this his forever home—a place where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love, companionship, and plenty of fun. Story

Update 8/12/26 Buffy had a weigh-in last week and is at a total weight loss of 5lbs. She anticipates her morning walks and has reached 1.25 miles. She is still such a happy easy going girl. Could she be the sunshine to brighten your day? Meet Buffy! ☀️ Buffy is a big, sunny, smiley girl with an even bigger heart. Found as a stray in South Dakota, this lovable lady greets each day with a happy face and her signature "helicopter tail" that spins in circles whenever she's excited. Buffy is on an inspiring weight-loss journey, already making progress with daily walks and a healthier diet. She loves peaceful morning strolls, relaxing outside to watch the world go by, and soaking up affection from her favorite people. She's gentle, intelligent, and gets along well with resident dogs she knows, though she can be reactive to unfamiliar dogs on leash and will need continued management and training in those situations. Buffy also has some arthritis, so she takes medication to keep her comfortable and would thrive in a low-key home without lots of stairs. She previously had a benign growth removed from one of her toes, and while it may return in the future, she's currently doing well. If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing companion with a loving spirit, a goofy smile, and endless affection to give, Buffy is ready to find the family who will cheer her on through the rest of her journey. Story

Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX)
