Story
Boogie Woogie is a handsome, lover boy of a dog that just needs a younger family to raise him, play with him and make him a part of their family.  This 4 year old, 80 pound boy is a Great Pyrenees and Collie mix and he is drop dead gorgeous with the most loving personality to match his handsome good looks.  He was taken home as a puppy by a very senior couple who are now in their late 70’s with some dementia problems.  They are not able to meet his needs that a young large breed dog must have.  Boogie is so loving and he is starving for attention and exercise with an actively involved lifestyle that includes his humans.  He is great with people and probably should be in a home with 8+ children as he loves to jump up on you for a welcoming greet.  He really is a Lady’s Man and would be best with female dogs and he will be heavy prey oriented with a cat.   So…let’s not chance a cat in the home.  He is not a dog that is a good match for a farm with horses and cows and fenced yard other livestock.   He could thrive in a fenced yard and he is used to a chain link fence.  He likes being outside when it not hot or humid and can stay outside when the family is not.  He is used to being outside when his family leaves the house.   It is best to either have him outside when you are gone or to crate him when you are not home.  He is not crate trained but could be taught.  He loves running outside and absolutely loves walking beside you on hikes and such.  He walks well on a leash and he is content to be your BFF always.  This is a great dog and one that just needs polishing.  He is not a car riding pro yet but could be and he is not a big barker which is great!  If you are interested in this handsome BIG BOY who just needs a younger and vibrant family or owner…we are looking for a home with a fenced yard and not a townhouse or apartment as he needs access to space to exercise and hang out.  If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   He is ready to go! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 21, 2023, 8:12 pm

Story
Look at this charming boy we call Jelly Roll and he is JR for short.   This 10 month old Great Pyrenees mix started off as a mistake litter and the man who allowed them to run free range on his property for months, soon found himself in a real pickle with the authorities.  He has to find a place for these pups or he was going to be fined for them running loose.  He was making noises that he would be shooting the 6 males puppies to avoid a fine.  Yep…he meant it too.  So Critter Cavalry has stepped in to the picture and boarded this handsome pups, neutered, gotten them all up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested and put these handsome boys on prevention and microchipped them.  We are intent on getting them homes with people who will work with some of their rough edges and shyness.  They are good, good young Great Pyr mix dogs.  Jelly Roll in his younger days was accidentally run over by his owner with his truck. His leg was not looked at and he does have a slight limp from the broken leg healing without attention or a splint.  It doesn’t stop him and you really have to LOOK hard to notice the slight limp.  Jelly Roll is all love and heart and is sweet as sweet can be.  He is 80 pounds of love and is a very special boy.  He is a friend to all other dogs, good with children and could care less about cats.  We cannot say he is housebroken because he has honestly never lived in a house.  We want to change that with YOU!  Can you help this boy have a foster home or a forever permanent home?  He is ready to get out of the boarding kennel and be embraced with unconditional affection and acceptance.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in changing his life forever.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 21, 2023, 8:12 pm

Story
Black Eiman is a standout Great Pyr mix boy that is only 8 months old and weighs 65 pounds.  His two round black spots over each eye and his personality that gained him “most friendly” in the litter, just puts Black Eiman as a top dog to consider.  What B.E. does in the play yard, is he is the first to come running up to his foster dad to give him a big “HELLO” and then he tries to sit in his lap when foster dad sits down.  A kiss is the next thing that’s on his agenda to say “I LOVE YOU” and he sometimes will try to claim his human dad as his very own and politely tell the other dogs to keep away.  We are working on that.  All 6 of the boys from the litter are just starved for love and attention and for the first time in their lives they are getting it.  B.E. loves people and we think a big family would be his dream come true wish.  He will be an 85 pound boy when fully grown and he will make you feel like the most loved human being in his world.  If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   We transport from Tennessee northward as well on a special transport van.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 21, 2023, 8:12 pm

Story
Our handsome Great Pyr mix boy is called Vandross…one of his other brothers is Luther… This handsome 8 month old boy is in great need of a patient, loving and big dog loving home and family.  He must have a fenced yard and he must have a calm household to match his totally calm and chill personality.  In his litter, he is the most calm one of all.  This boy is not an attention grabber or needy dog.  He just hangs out and watches and stays to himself while the other brothers clamor for affection from their foster dad.  Vandross just kind of goes with the flow and hangs out.  He is what you call a “cool dude”.   Vandross currently is 64 pounds and will most probably hit the 85 pound range as a handsome adult boy.  Mom is a pure Great Pyr and we do not know who dad was.  If you are interested in this sweet boy named Vandross please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  We transport from Tennessee to the northeast PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 21, 2023, 8:12 pm

Story
We need some help folks.  Shy Elvis is the one that needs help from someone that knows how to work with shy Great Pyrenees. This 8 month old boy was born to a Great Pyr momma and we don’t know who dad was.  He currently weighs 65 pounds and he avoids people as much as he can at first no matter how many treats or toys that you offer him.  But once you do touch him and have a chance to pet, he calms down and really enjoys the attention and love.  Its slow work but there are accomplishments being made each day.  He was born on a 300 acre farm where he and his sibling brothers and sisters just roamed with no boundaries or attention from the family who had this “mistake” litter.  Eventually neighbors complained of the roaming group of big dogs and the man was going to be fined if he didn’t find a place for the dogs.  He posted that he would shoot them by Sunday if he couldn’t find a place for them.  One brave young couple went and picked up all SIX of the brothers that were left there on the land.  Elvis needs the most work with establishing trust and connecting with the humans around him.  It can be accomplished but not in a group setting in a backyard like he is now.  He needs to be with another confident dog that can show him how to accept the attention from humans and a human who can methodically make the steps to help overcome this shyness.  He is not a fan of riding in a car and does not like to be picked up at all.  There is work to be done for sure.  Some people are gifted with this ability to break them out of their shell.  Could that be you!?  If so, please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  We transport from Tennessee northward if needed.  Just say the word!  Shy Elvis Needs Love!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 21, 2023, 8:12 pm

Story
So what happens when you and your litter is born and no one pays attention to you as you grow up and just roam around with your littermates on 300 acres of land?  You kind of have a mixed puppyhood and some of your brothers lack confidence from getting no love.  Luther here, was a lucky one.  This Great Pyrenees mix boy that is 8 months old and weighs 85 pounds, turned out to be the biggest of his group and the most gentle and calm overall.  He will follow his human foster dad around like a little shadow.  This foster dad single handedly saved ALL 6 of these big pups from being shot (yep that was going to happen) and took them home to keep safe.  Critter Cavalry Rescue learned of their plight and is partnering with the young man and his family to get all the boys neutered NOW and help to find them a home or other fosters.  We are hoping that some other people will see how special these boys are and take one home to love forever or at least to foster for a while.  Luther will be a big boy when he is an adult.  Probably 100 pounds at least.  But he is all calm love and full of kisses.  If you are interested in Luther, please email us ASAP at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  We transport from Tennessee up to the northeast region.   We are serious about getting these littermates, each and every one, a home and place to blossom.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 21, 2023, 8:12 pm
