Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
If you're looking for a calm, beautiful, incredibly loving Great Pyrenees female then you have come to the right place. Tessa is a beauty that was found as a stray in a very rural part of Tennessee with no collar, no microchip, not spayed, and lost. No one seemed to come forward looking for her. So we, at Critter Calvary, are looking out for her now and seeking a perfect home and family match.  She is in a foster home and has been fully vetted and totally healthy. She is approximately 10 months old and weighs 72 lb. She will probably blossom into an 80 lb adult girl that will be the love of someone's life. There is not a negative thing we can say about this girl. She is a beauty queen and is looking for a home where she can reign supreme.  We are requiring a completely fenced backyard for this girl so she can roam safely as her breed requires.  Please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know what city and state that you live in when inquiring. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
Charlie is a 4-year-old neutered Great Pyrenees male and weighs about 95 pounds. Charlie is up to date on all his vaccines, regularly takes heartworm and flea/tick preventative medication, and recently received a clean bill of health from his vet. Charlie is a curious creature and loves people, including kids and the elderly. He gets along well with small dogs and female dogs. He will do best in a home without another adult male dog. He has shown some leash reactivity, but only around large male dogs & unfixed males. He takes treats gently, has no food aggression, and knows some tricks: he can sit, shake, jump up, go to his crate, and high five. He is also an excellent travel companion and does very well in a car and in hotels. He loves sand on the beach and snow during the winter. Most of the time, he can be found curling up on the couch or his dog bed snoozing.

Story
Yeti #9827 is a handsome 4-year-old male, Great Pyrenees mix. He is house and crate trained. He is a loyal, happy bouncy 80 -pound companion to 4 humans. He knows commands and obeys them as any self-minded, stubborn GP does! He is smarter than your average pup and is curious and resourceful. He is routine driven. Yeti enjoys watching over his surroundings and patrols his fenced in backyard; note that he is in an indoor dog. He enjoys car rides and going on walks. While Yeti lives with other dogs, his ideal home is one where he is the only male, a single dog, or with a nonconfrontation female. He is seeking a home with GP or large breed experience. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Chili is 4yo, weighs 98lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped.  Chili knows 'sit', 'come', 'stay', and 'paw'; she loves car rides but dislikes vacuums; Chili is with her family inside the home during the day and sleeps in her crate at nighttime in home as well.  Chili's guardian adds:  "We love her so much and this was a very difficult decision for my family - she deserves the world.  She is very low maintenance with the exception of her fur - She is a heavy shedding breed, but with a few brushes a week, it keeps it down drastically!  It's Chili glitter:).  With daily brushing, it is barely noticeable.  Chili loves being outside within a fenced yard - she LOVES chasing birds and is convinced she can catch them, lol.  Sometimes she will just lay and soak up the sun for hours before coming back inside." Chili's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "We have had Chili since 8 weeks old, but due to recent health issues, as well as my grandmother I care for, I am looking for a family that has the time Chili deserves to continue loving her." Chili's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  Chili had ear infections during puppyhood and once in adulthood, which were resolved. Chili's guardian states the following regarding children:  Chili lives with children, currently ages 8 and 13, so her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Friendly, excited at first then lays down.  Tolerates play and petting. Chili's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Chili has lived with a dog, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating... "When properly introduced, Chili is great!  I use the sit command as dogs pass and she is fine. I will say if the other dog barks or lunges FIRST Chili immediately responds and will bark, snap and lunge.  She does not have a lot of experience with new dogs as we did not have the opportunity to fully socialize her.  I do not suggest she be in a home with other dogs just because she has only been comfortable with the dogs she is used to within our extended family (that come over to visit).  I would prefer she be in a one-dog household only because I can't confidently vouch for how she would react living with an unfamiliar dog."      Chili's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Chili lives with cats, so her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "Chili loves our cats (can't say they love her back, but they do tolerate her).  She sniffs and ignores them". Chili's guardian describes her as: Couch potato Barks alot Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Indoor dog House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Chili's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Chili would do great with a single person, couple or family as the only resident dog.  She loves affection and interaction.  She truly thrives being a part of her home and it's daily activities."
