She’s a Husky, ’nuff said V – Vivacious and very vocal A – Avid jumper and ball chaser No matter how you say it, Shiva is all Husky personality in all the best, fun ways. Though she can be a bit shy at first, she is always up for a good time and is full of energy. She would love a large yard to run and play in, and if it’s fenced, it needs to be at least six feet tall, because this girl has hops. She gets along great with most other dogs and would have a blast with a fur brother or sister to play with and wear each other out every day. After some good times in the backyard, Shiva wants to be close to her humans and snuggle up. She likes it best when her humans are home, and being alone makes her sad, so people with a flexible schedule or who work from home would be ideal. This sweet, loving angel is about 3-4 years old and a perfect gentleman. Jack Sparrow was brought to us from a small rural shelter where he had stayed for almost two years. We can't understand why! He gets along well with other dogs, loves to run and play, and enjoys a good snuggle on the couch. He is housebroken, crate trained, and an absolute sweetheart. He adores people, though he is a bit shy with young kids. He does warm up if they are calm and gentle with him, but would be best in a home with kids aged 10 and older. He is also scared of cats, so he needs a feline free home! Mr. Sparrow just needs a home that will give him all the love and adventure with him to the high seas. Could that be you?   Approximate Birthdate:  May21 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. This friendly young adult pup adores the feel of the wind in his fur as he cruises with the windows down. He enjoys playing with other dogs, leisurely walks and lounging around the house. He's a social butterfly, loving everyone he meets, though he's not so fond of the feline crowd. If you're ready for a charming, independent, and car-loving companion, Kevin is your guy. All adult dogs go on a 2 week trial adoption period to make sure they are a good fit in your home, your adoption fee is fully refundable during that period. We will take all adopted pets back into our program for the life of our pet, with a scheduled appointment. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. Blue is a 5th gen Wolf Hybrid and a pretty princess. She's only 33 pounds, the runt of a runt of a runt. Eager to please and overzealous about it. She likes cuddles... for about five minutes. LOVES belly scratches. She's an adventure dog. She wants to go places, and she will tell you all her thoughts on the way, during the adventure, and the whole way back. She's a talker. She has few manners, but she will sit and occasionally lay down. She loves water. Playing in it mostly. She's not much of a player outside of that. She doesn't care for toys, but she does care for her people. She needs to be the only dog in the home. With the right amount of work, she can get along with other dogs, but she's far more behaved and happy on her own where she can monopolize your time. And she is aggressive with new dogs she does not know. But she would be the perfect dog for a trucker, someone on the road a lot, or someone looking for a travel companion.

Gentry is a super sweet older guy! He walks well on leash, enjoying hikes with his people, and isn't afraid to wade in the creek. He LOVES being outside, rolling around in the grass, and finding a cool spot to nap. He is very affectionate, gentle, and does great with small kids. He also does well with dogs of a similar energy level as him. He has even successfully lived with a cat!Gentry has a good amount of energy and still loves to play. He is content sleeping on the floor next to his humans, but does enjoy a snuggle. He would be such a wonderful companion! He just loves hanging out! Gentry likes the water too - he jumped in a kiddie pool. Additionally, he is both house and crate trained. Gentry is living in a foster home.
