Spayed or Neutered,
Story
All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs" on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Midwest Animal ResQ offers a 30-day adjustment period within which you can evaluate the pet's progress and your adoption decision. If, within those 30 days, you determine your recently adopted pet isn't a good fit, you may return the animal and receive a MARQ credit that can be used toward the adoption of another animal. Our biggest priority is finding the very best match for you, and Completing Families one Tail at a Time! Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process. This will also start the meeting process for those animals in foster. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MARQ/Dog

Story
6 year old Quinley is a gorgeous girl who has a tail that never stops wagging. She’s happy to give us a sit and a down on command and this smart pup likely knows more commands as well.Like all of our dogs, she would love to meet any potential canine siblings before heading home to make sure that it’s a great match. She was found as a stray so we don’t have any information about her previous life but we know that she can’t wait to be in a loving home. Could that be with you?Quinley is living in a foster home. If you would like to meet her please email foster@kcpetpet project.comQuinley is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.

Story
Looking for your soul dog? Or maybe a dog that can see into your soul? Meet our wise old gentleman, Cinco, who has so far been content to get himself settled into shelter life. He`s been calm and quiet, and even did some walking with a volunteer and their junior volunteer. Interestingly, and this must be the husky in him, he`s been trying to hang out under the evergreen bushes! So it would be a bonus if you have a handy evergreen bush or tree. There are so many advantages to adopting a senior dog. They are generally calm and settled, with that lovely mature energy that we all can appreciate. They are often house-trained or easily trained, and sometimes already know several commands. And there is very little more rewarding in life than providing that safe, loving home for a dog who would be most grateful to spend the rest of their life in comfort.Cinco is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Come meet this special dog today.

Story
Juneau is a purebred Malamute. Inherent to the breed, female Malamutes try to establish alpha dominance of the pack. Juneau has been to training to correct these behaviors and has been a great playmate with Bullet, the Silver Lab. It is possible that some behavior correction may be necessary introducing Juneau to a family with an existing dog. She is a lover of people and has never been aggressive to kids or people, but Juneau will need a new owner that understands the Malamute breed and can identify/correct dominance behavior. Juneau is my baby and I sorely hate to part ways with her, but unfortunately my recent circumstances will not allow me to keep her. I would dearly love to see both of our fur babies be adopted together, as they adore one another and are glued at the hip. It will be a big adjustment for both of them to be separated. We do have a cat that Juneau has been around since we first brought into the family. She gets along with our cat, but unsure about other cat
