Pet Location: -Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: -I am enrolled in LIFT University. This is a program for dogs to build confidence in new situations and work on managing energy. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. -I am a graduate of Waifs with Wisdom. In this program, I learned basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. -My previous owner said that I am house-trained.-Chews, Kong-like feeders, puzzle toys—help to keep me entertained!- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: -I need a home with kids 6 years old and older who will enjoy my enthusiasm for life!-Wayside requires bringing the whole family out to meet me before adoption - new people can make me a little nervous.- Cats are much too interesting to me, so my home will need to be cat free.-No apartments or shared living spaces for me, please! I like to use my voice when I am excited-I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter.- Wayside recommends researching my breed before adopting!-I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. I’m a 1-year-old Alaskan Husky with a love for adventure, toys, and brain games. I can be a little aloof when meeting new people, so I’ll need some time and patience to warm up. But once I know you’re part of my circle, you’ll see my fun, affectionate, and playful side shine. I love exploring new places, playing with my favorite toys, and romping around with my doggie friends. I also find a lot of comfort in my toys and the people I trust.I’m a smart girl who enjoys keeping her brain busy, whether that’s learning new things through training, solving enrichment puzzles, or staying engaged in an active home. I’m housetrained too, but like any pup settling into a new place, I’ll need some time to adjust. So I ask that you’re patient with me as I take my time to get used to my new environment. Because I

This sweet sweet girl has quite a story for being only 8 months old!! Brynnley was found trapped inside a garage - starving to near death and pregnant!!😵 Isn’t 8 months too young for a pregnancy?! YES!!! It is!! But this amazing girl persevered against all odds - all for her one little girl-babe - she gave birth on 10/19 - and she is the best mamma!! ❤️ She has regained her own strength and weight (about 45 pounds) all while nursing a healthy roly-poly babe. 🥰 Soon she will be ready to find her own forever family where she can get back to being a puppy herself!! Brynnley LOVES people, takes direction well and is completely trusting despite all she’s been through. She also gets along well with her foster siblings (dogs) and with regular access to outside, she is house trained. No experience with cats but likely to do fine with them. ✨ All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. If you have other dogs in your home, we require that they meet our dog prior to adoption. 💲 Adoption fee: $225 📍 Once you apply, the foster will contact you to schedule a meet and greet. 👉 Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Lee • Siberian Husky • 4.5 Years Old Meet Lee — a striking, blue-eyed, red-and-white Siberian Husky with the spirit of an adventurer. Lee spent the first part of his life in a home with many dogs who were later abandoned, so he’s still learning what “normal family life” means. He is housebroken but may have the occasional accident as he continues to adjust — understandable after being confined indoors 24/7 for a long period. He’s extremely affectionate, gently goofy, and loves being close to his people (especially perching behind you on the couch like a parrot 😄). Personality & Training Very sweet and people-loving Good with respectful kids and other dogs No cats — typical of his breed, he has a strong prey drive Knows sit, down, wait, and paw Learning that kisses = good, playful nibbling = not so much LOVES toys, especially squeaky ones, plus duck jerky treats and even sandwich cookies Typical Husky traits: Siberian Huskies are an athletic, intelligent, high-energy working breed known for their playful, vocal, escape-artist tendencies — and Lee is the perfect example of that! He has just discovered he can clear a 6-foot fence, so he must have a secure yard with a tall, solid fence. Ideal Home Lee is looking for an active family familiar with Husky needs — plenty of play, mental stimulation, and adventure time. He thrives on attention, affection, and having a job to do, even if that job is just making you laugh. If you’re ready for a loyal, athletic, loving companion who will make every day more fun — Lee is your guy. ❤️🐾 ✨ All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Story
Meet Cersei! 6–7 Month Old • Siberian Husky • Gorgeous Blue Eyes • Nearly Perfect Pup 💙 Miss Cersei was found wandering the streets all alone, and to make things tougher, someone had shaved her — so her beautiful Husky coat is still growing back in. She’s now safe in a foster home and learning how to “Husky” from four resident Siberian Huskies who are showing her the ropes — what’s okay, what’s not, and how to just be a happy, confident pup. This girl has been amazing in the home: 🌟 Zero accidents in the house or in her kennel 🌟 No chewing or getting into things she shouldn’t 🌟 Smart as can be — already knows “sit” and “kisses” 🌟 Sleeps through the night in her kennel (with maybe a quick howl before settling back down) 🌟 Also loves sleeping in bed if that’s allowed in her future home As a typical Siberian Husky, Cersei is a high-energy working breed who thrives with both physical and mental stimulation. She’ll need an adopter ready for daily exercise, engagement, and enrichment. Since Huskies are known escape artists, a secure 6-ft fenced yard is highly recommended. Her ideal home: • Someone familiar with the Husky breed or willing to do the research • An active family who enjoys outdoor adventures • A home with another playful dog would be a huge bonus — she loves having canine friends • Someone who appreciates a snuggly, sweet, silly puppy who just wants to be part of the pack Cersei is pretty darn close to perfect. She’s loving, funny, people-oriented, great with other dogs, and she has that classic Husky sparkle. If you’re ready for a sweetheart with energy, brains, and endless cuddles… Cersei might just be your girl. 💙🐾 ✨ All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Story
Bailey – Female •Husky Mix • 6 Weeks Bailey is the single, sweet little pup of a very young mama who survived a tough start. Her mom was one of many dogs left behind in a home after the owner went to jail. At just 8 months old and badly underweight, she arrived into rescue only days before Bailey was born. Thanks to good care and a safe place to land, both mom and pup have been thriving. Bailey is a friendly, wiggly girl who already loves people and enjoys exploring her surroundings. She has the softest reddish coat, adorable white toes, and a happy, social temperament. She’s expected to be a medium to larger dog when grown—likely somewhere in the 45–60 lb range. She will be ready for adoption once she is old enough, vaccinated appropriately, and spayed. For now, we’re accepting applications so she can have her forever family lined up when she’s ready. If you’re looking for a loving, resilient little pup with a great start in her foster home, Bailey may be the perfect fit.

Story
Meet Timber! This handsome Husky has won over even those who weren’t sure about the breed—his foster family describes him as the Husky who changed their mind about Huskies! Timber is incredibly sweet and gentle, making him a wonderful fit for a family. He’s been great with the foster’s 6-year-old granddaughter, and the feeling is clearly mutual. His foster family says if they didn’t already have two dogs, they’d be keeping him themselves. A well-mannered and well-trained companion, Timber knows basic commands like sit, stay, shake, and come. He kennels easily, walks nicely on a leash, and is fully house-trained. He also loves car rides and enjoys spending time with people—especially following the foster dad out to the shop to hang out. Timber gets along well with other dogs and has a great sense of when to engage in play and when to walk away. While fireworks aren't his favorite, storms don’t seem to bother him at all. In the words of his foster: “This is a GREAT dog!” Timber will come fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $100. Apply to adopt Timber today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.
