Story
Pax is the kind of dog who just fits. He shows up, stays close… and suddenly, he’s everything. Now, let’s address the obvious: Yes, he’s ridiculously handsome. Yes, those baby blues are real. He’s got the looks – but brings a much calmer, easygoing vibe than you might expect from a 4-year-old, 50-pound Husky. Pax somehow skipped the chaos phase and went straight to: Calm Loving Velcro (in the best possible way) Pax is NOT: ❌ Over-the-top ❌ Nonstop energy ❌ Early morning Husky monologues Pax IS: ✅ House trained ✅ Mellow and easy to live with ✅ Great with people, other dogs and kids ✅ Happy to follow you from room to room ✅ A good passenger who rides well in the car ✅ The kind of dog who just “gets it” He’s not here to entertain himself. Pax is just here to be with you. Real-life notes: – Working on crate training – Can have some separation anxiety (he loves hard!) – Walks pretty well on leash with a little pulling Best fit for Pax: – Someone who is home more often than not – Someone patient while he builds confidence – Someone who wants a constant, not just a pet Pax isn’t flashy or chaotic. He’s not “a project.” He’s just right. 💙 Pax is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. Apply to meet Pax at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Are you looking for a buddy to sit down with a cup of coffee or a refreshing beverage and have a meaningful conversation? Sure, we all like our alone time, but it’s good for the soul to have a heart-to-heart convo once in a while. If so, we have the boy for you. His name is Aspen, and he is an 8-year-old, 53-pound Siberian Husky. Now, we all know they love to “talk” but our boy will actually answer you! He has his own language, and it consists of lots of “Wee Woos”, as his foster mom refers to them. Since Aspen is a bit mature in age, he doesn't have the high Husky energy level, but he still needs a decent walk twice a day. This boy gets along with other dogs, preferably larger ones. Cats are an unknown at this time. Aspen is housetrained and sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He is working on his leash skills, and with more practice, he will have them down. Aspen does well with all people, and we believe he would be fine with the small humans, too. Wanna run some errands or take a vacay, he’s up for that as he loves his car rides. He knows a few things and is happy to show you, such as sit, shake, and lay down. Aspen requires a 6’ SECURE privacy fence or 6’ chain link fencing. He has spent the majority of his life roaming and being allowed to do so, so he has the itch to run and escape. A family with experience with the Husky breed and familiarity with its qualities would be the best home for Aspen. His foster tells us he truly is the sweetest boy and has the best personality. Aspen is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $175. To talk to, uhm, meet this stud, visit us at PawsitiveTailsKC.org and complete an adoption application. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. What’s that, Aspen? Oh, he wants us to tell you, Wee Woo! We assume that means he can’t wait to meet you, so fill out that application. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
🐈🐈 Cat-friendly 🐈🐈 “Hey, handsome!” Winston hears that a lot, and it’s not hard to see why. He’s a 5-year-old Siberian Husky (around 46 pounds) with a rare piebald coat – lots of white, with bold patches that make him hard to miss. He has the personality to match. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves giving kisses, and is always up for a “chat” in his cute husky voice. 🗣️ Winston likes to keep tabs on what you’re up to and wants to be part of whatever’s going on (whether you invited him or not). 😄 He was found as a stray and likely didn’t have much structure before, but he’s adjusting well and showing just how sweet and easygoing he can be. He’s about 90% house trained, knows “wait,” and is just starting to learn the basics. Leash walking is new to him, so expect some pulling as he figures it out. He’s also just beginning to show interest in toys, which is pretty fun to watch him realize, “Oh wow, these are actually great.” 🧸 Winston does well with other dogs overall, though he may be selective and can sometimes guard toys or his person. He’s been around cats and may bark, but he’s not aggressive and can be redirected. He’d do best in a home that can offer patience, structure, and plenty of attention. A fenced yard would be ideal, and while he’s not a big fan of crates or getting into the car, he settles once he’s on the move. Right now, Winston is in heartworm treatment, so he’s keeping things pretty low-key for a few more weeks while his body heals. He’s done a great job staying calm, and once he’s cleared, he’ll be ready to ease into a more active routine. Winston is a real stunner – sweet, slightly quirky, and still learning, but already knows how to love. ❤️ Winston’s adoption fee is $175, which includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Apply to meet him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Meet Big Girl 🤍 Big Girl is a 2-month-old Husky mix with a curious personality, adorable puppy antics, and a sweet nature that makes her easy to love. She’s settling into foster care beautifully and already showing everyone what a fun little companion she’s going to be. This girl loves being part of whatever is going on. If the family is relaxing, she’s happy to lounge nearby and quietly hang out. But the second people start moving around? Big Girl is ready to join the fun and turn it into playtime. She’s playful without being overly wild and has a nice balance of puppy energy and calm moments. Big Girl is social, confident, and eager to say hello to new people with a wagging tail. She’s done well meeting kids and has gotten along nicely with her foster’s resident dog. Like any puppy, she’s still learning dog manners and boundaries, but she responds well when corrected. She hasn’t officially met the resident cat yet, so we’re still learning more there. She’s learning all about home life and is already making progress with potty training. Her foster family takes her out regularly, and she has also used puppy pads a few times. She currently stays in a gated kitchen area with an open kennel when left alone and is adjusting well overall — though she has recently discovered that chair legs look suspiciously chewable, so plenty of toys are a must for this growing girl. 😅 At night, Big Girl has been sleeping in her foster sister’s bed and loves being close to her people. She may whine a little when someone leaves the room or car, but she settles fairly quickly once reassured. She’s also getting more comfortable riding in the car and seems happiest curled up in someone’s lap looking out the window. She’s working on “sit” and “stay,” walks nicely on leash for her age, and doesn’t mind wearing one at all — though she does like to weave right in front of you like a tiny little herding dog. She has no resource guarding behaviors and has shown herself to be a thoughtful, observant puppy who reads the energy around her well. One of the cutest things about Big Girl? Her silly little puppy moments. Whether she’s chasing her tail, nibbling on her own feet, or bouncing around with her toys, she’s constantly doing something to make you smile. Big Girl is looking for a family ready for all the fun, learning, and love that comes with raising a puppy. She’s sweet, social, playful, and already proving she’s going to grow into an amazing companion. 💕 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match. Meet Balto, the calm cool and collected pup ready to join your home! Balto is a cool, chill little guy with the sweetest face. He shows his love in quiet ways, often gazing up at you with soft, adoring eyes. While he enjoys cuddling from time to time, he’s also perfectly happy to relax on his own. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, and his patient, kind nature makes him wonderful with kids. Balto is also a very fast learner, already showing how smart and eager to please he is. Balto is doing great with outdoor potty training, walks nicely on a leash, and loves getting out for strolls. He also goes into his kennel without any fuss! This sweet-natured boy would do well in many types of homes, but he would especially love one where he can spend time outside or enjoy regular playtime with people or other pets. Balto is ready to bring his calm companionship to his forever family. Balto's adoption fee is $275 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm medication, microchip and spay/neuter surgery. Fill out an adoption application at lucky13rescue.org.

Story
We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Katmai is heartworm positive and looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home! She is 2 years old, spayed, 44 pounds, and up to date on all other vetting. Despite her past, Katmai is the sweetest girl on the planet that is full of love! Katmai was found living outside with her 6 puppies on the coldest day of the year! There were multiple reports saying she had been in the area for a while and that the 6 puppies were not her first litter. We quickly jumped to action to get them safe and warm and on their journey to furever homes. The puppies got all their required vetting and went off to their happily ever afters, but poor, sweet Katmai still has another obstacle to overcome in her heartworm treatment. Treating heartworms is a lengthy and expensive process and we are committed to helping her get rid of them! However, she would recover much faster in a home environment rather than our facility. She is sad and stressed in the shelter as she's not used to being cooped up around lots of other animals. She would love nothing more than to have a human to snuggle and adventure with. If you can find it in your heart to help this girl, please fill out an application at kcpaws.org!

Story
Meet your new best friend! Yodel is a calm, sweet pup with beautiful facial coloring and a soft, sensitive nature. While she may be timid and reserved in new situations, she is confident at home. This affectionate girl has never met a person she doesn’t love. She knows how to make a person feel loved, showing affection through doggy kisses and being endlessly excited to see you. Yodel enjoys playing with her littermate, but she tends to keep to herself around other dogs and is happy entertaining herself. She can stay busy for hours playing independently or chewing on a bone. She may need a little time to warm up to young children, but she does well once she feels comfortable and secure. She is making great progress with outdoor potty training and when needed, she always uses a puppy pad. Yodel is currently afraid of the leash, but with patience and encouragement, we believe she will grow confident over time. Yodel would do well in a variety of homes and does not require other pets or children to be happy — all she truly needs is a safe place and a loving person or family to bond deeply with. Yodel's adoption fee is $275 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm medication, microchip and spay/neuter surgery. Fill out an adoption application at lucky13rescue.org.

Story
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have the cutest dog on the block? A dog that’s SO adorable, people think she’s an actual stuffed animal? 🧸Winnie 🧸 can make those dreams come true! She’s a 1-year-old, 48-pound, cream colored Chow Chow, looking to bring you all the love, joy, and friendship you could ever imagine! 🧸❤️ You’d never know that Winnie has felt a bit uncertain since her previous owner passed away. Her foster family describes her as one of their BEST FOSTERS EVER! She is house trained, doesn’t require crating, gets along with other dogs, and LOVES to cuddle! When we said she’s a real-life stuffed animal, we weren’t kidding! She’s fluffy, dreamy, and looks like something straight out of a storybook. 😍 🤩 Winnie would love a home where she can spend time with her people and enjoy all the best things in life. She won’t NEED another dog in the home, but we think she’d probably really enjoy the companionship since she gets along so well with other dogs. It might even help calm her nerves when you’re out of the house. Winnie does amazingly well when she meets new people but would probably do best in a home without tiny kiddos who could pull on her beautiful fur. We estimate Winnie to be around 55-65 pounds once fully fluffed out; however, she will likely always remain a low-key, mellow girl who doesn’t need a ton of exercise or activity. She hasn’t actually been nose-to-nose with a cat just yet but has seen them from afar without reacting. We think that with a proper intro, she would likely be fine residing with a feline friend. Are you ready to adopt your real-life Winnie the Pooh bear? We just know you’ll fall in love with her as soon as you meet her! She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $225. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
