☯️ Judy and Athena ☯️ are much like the eastern philosophical idea of yin and yang, the process of the universe: together there is harmony, yet they are each distinct forces. When you need to be in charge of things or get stuff done 📋🔨 Judy will be right by your side to keep everything and everyone in line 👩‍🏫 And when you’re ready to tone it down or relax,🍹✨ let Athena’s happy spirit be your guide to contentment. 🌻🌛 Judy, ☯️ a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix who weighs 52 pounds, can come off as bossy and a bit aloof, but she warms to people soon enough, and it turns out she loves attention and is affectionate. She’ll bark when she’s unsure about something, which seems to be her way of voicing a concern or asking a question. Athena, ☯️ a 6-year-old Pomsky (Pomeranian + Siberian Husky) who weighs 48 pounds, is a glass-half-full gal who sees the good in everyone instantly. She has a pleasant spark of energy that she brings to her home and people. The ladies follow basic commands well, like sit and leave it, and they do well on the leash. They’re happy to go on car rides or explore wherever you’re headed. At home, they like to play ball or chew on buffalo horns or antlers. They’re also great playmates with other dogs for any type of play. Judy barks when she plays; she must like telling everyone how much fun she’s having 😆 At night, they find their own spots to sleep in the living room. They are both crate trained and house trained. Athena and Judy would do best with a fenced yard. They are both spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, as well as current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Their adoption fee is $175 for both. Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

🐈🐈 Cat-friendly 🐈🐈 “Hey, handsome!” Winston hears that a lot, and it’s not hard to see why. He’s a 5-year-old Siberian Husky (around 46 pounds) with a rare piebald coat – lots of white, with bold patches that make him hard to miss. He has the personality to match. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves giving kisses, and is always up for a “chat” in his cute husky voice. 🗣️ Winston likes to keep tabs on what you’re up to and wants to be part of whatever’s going on (whether you invited him or not). 😄 He was found as a stray and likely didn’t have much structure before, but he’s adjusting well and showing just how sweet and easygoing he can be. He’s about 90% house trained, knows “wait,” and is just starting to learn the basics. Leash walking is new to him, so expect some pulling as he figures it out. He’s also just beginning to show interest in toys, which is pretty fun to watch him realize, “Oh wow, these are actually great.” 🧸 Winston does well with other dogs overall, though he may be selective and can sometimes guard toys or his person. He’s been around cats and may bark, but he’s not aggressive and can be redirected. He’d do best in a home that can offer patience, structure, and plenty of attention. A fenced yard would be ideal, and while he’s not a big fan of crates or getting into the car, he settles once he’s on the move. Right now, Winston is in heartworm treatment, so he’s keeping things pretty low-key for a few more weeks while his body heals. He’s done a great job staying calm, and once he’s cleared, he’ll be ready to ease into a more active routine. Winston is a real stunner – sweet, slightly quirky, and still learning, but already knows how to love. ❤️ Winston’s adoption fee is $175, which includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Apply to meet him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

What did the “Skye” say to the rainbow? You brighten my day! That’s because this amazing girl wants to be the sunshine of your life. ☀️🌈☀️🌈☀️ Skye is a five-year-old Husky with the most stunning crystal blue eyes you’ve ever seen. In addition to being beautiful, she’s a perfect medium-sized ball of joy, wrapped up in a 45lb black, grey, and white package. This happy-go-lucky girl is house-trained, quickly learning crate training because she loves treats as a reward for going in, and she already walks wonderfully on a leash. She also knows commands like sit and kennel, and is promptly catching on to coming when you call her name. Did we mention that she’s also learning to wait? Is there anything this girl isn’t willing to try to make you happy? Not only is Skye super smart and a fast learner, but she’s also got just the right amount of energy to brighten your day—not too much and not too little. She LOVES to spend time playing with the resident dogs in her foster home, running around the back yard and chomping on toys inside. Because of this, we think she would likely be happiest in a home with another active dog. She equally loves attention from humans, though, whether that’s snuggling or just getting pets. Skye is the kind of girl who’s always up for making your day better and wants to be the K9 companion you’ve dreamed of. Although she has not attempted to jump any fences, she will likely need a 5-6-foot fence to avoid unplanned Husky adventures. Skye is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. The adoption fee is $175, which includes her being the furever sunshine of your life. Apply to adopt her today. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

🐈🐱 Cat-friendly 🐱🐈 Hi, I'm 🕸️Cobweb🕸️. Yep, I have a unique name, but I am memorable for so much more than my name. Everyone really likes me a lot, and I feel exactly the same way about all of them. I bet you’ll like me too. 👯‍♂️ I’m pretty new here because I’m only 2 months old. They talk about me being a Husky and Cattle Dog mix, and I’ll probably be around 50 pounds someday. I already have a list 📜 of things I know for sure: 1️⃣ Those little people 👦👧 – I’ve heard them called kids and children – are some of my absolute favorites. I like to get their attention so that they’ll play with me and snuggle me. 2️⃣ Speaking of snuggling, I really like to cuddle with people 🛋️ 🛏️. I lean in to make sure you cuddle me all the way 🧸 3️⃣ I am super dog friendly, and I see them all as my buddies. 🐩🐕 That cat seems like fun too, and we get along fine. I’m thinking about playing some games with them later.🎮 4️⃣ Toys are amazing! 🔫 🧩 Have you seen these things?! 🪁 Some make a squeaky noise that I want to do over and over and over…and others feel really good on my teeth. 5️⃣ Have I mentioned humans? Short or tall, big or small, I couldn’t love them more. 🤗 I have learned so much already, haven’t I? And I’m also in the middle of learning how to be a good boy in my crate and where I’m supposed to take care of my business. I get to have new experiences every day! I hope you’ll think about bringing me to your place to snuggle forever. I’d be so happy about that. ☺️😊 Cobweb is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. He’ll come to you current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $275. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters, 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Story
Meet Harrington (Harry)! Harrington is an 8-month-old Husky mix weighing about 60 pounds, and he's everything you love about a teenage Husky—funny, goofy, affectionate, and full of personality. With his striking blue eyes, long legs, and playful spirit, Harry turns heads wherever he goes. Like any young Husky, Harry enjoys staying busy. He loves carrying toys around, digging treasures out of the toy basket, batting them across the room, and occasionally showing off a few zoomies. The good news? Once he's had a chance to burn off some energy, he's surprisingly mellow and happy to relax with his people. Harry is house trained and has done well having free roam in his foster home. He walks nicely on leash and is learning his basic commands. He's a smart boy who enjoys learning and responds well to guidance. When his foster home's resident dogs correct him, he takes it in stride and quickly adjusts his behavior. In fact, he adores other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to play with, though it's not required. One of Harry's favorite things is spending time with his people. He's a true cuddlebug who loves hugs, bedtime pets, and being close to his family. While he'll happily hop on the bed to say goodnight, he usually chooses a cool spot on the bathroom tile when it's time to sleep. Harry is still polishing up a few puppy manners, including resisting the temptation of unattended people food and sharing his beloved stuffed toys. He's making great progress and approaches life with an eager-to-please attitude. His ideal home will understand that Huskies are intelligent, active dogs who thrive with daily exercise, mental enrichment, and companionship. Harry doesn't need to run marathons, but he will appreciate regular walks, playtime, and opportunities to use that smart Husky brain. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250. Story
💙 Meet Duvall Duvall is a striking young Husky/Great Pyrenees mix with unforgettable blue eyes, a gorgeous blonde coat, and an even bigger personality. At just over two years old, he's intelligent, affectionate, athletic, and looking for a family that understands what it means to share life with an energetic working-breed dog. This handsome boy absolutely loves his people. Whether you're heading out for a hike, working in the yard, teaching him something new, or relaxing after a busy day, Duvall wants to be part of whatever you're doing. He's happiest when he has both a job to do and people to love. Like many young working breeds, Duvall isn't a dog who's content with a quick walk around the block. His ideal home will provide daily opportunities for physical exercise and mental enrichment. Long walks, hiking adventures, training sessions, puzzle toys, scent games, fetch, and structured play all help keep his active mind and body satisfied. When his needs are met, Duvall is an incredibly rewarding companion. Duvall also enjoys other dogs—but he's still polishing his social skills. His play style is enthusiastic, physical, and sometimes a bit overwhelming. He would do best with confident, well-socialized dogs his size or larger that enjoy active play and are comfortable setting appropriate canine boundaries. Any introductions to resident dogs should be done slowly and thoughtfully, allowing everyone time to adjust and build positive relationships. Rushing introductions or expecting instant friendships simply isn't fair to Duvall or his future canine companions. Because of his intelligence, energy, and size, Duvall is looking for adopters who are committed to continuing his training and helping him succeed. Consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement will go a long way with this eager-to-learn boy. Experience with working breeds is a plus, but more important is a willingness to invest the time and energy needed to help him thrive. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, but it's not a substitute for exercise, enrichment, and engagement. Duvall is looking for a family that sees their dog as a true partner in life's adventures—not just a pet who spends most of the day entertaining himself. Duvall has already experienced more transitions than any young dog should. What he needs now is a family committed to giving him the time, patience, guidance, and outlets he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving, intelligent companion who will happily join you on every adventure for years to come. If you're ready for an active, devoted best friend and understand the unique needs of a young working-breed dog, Duvall can't wait to meet you. 💙🐾 P.S. Duvall is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption. It’s a great way to ensure the perfect fit! ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match. All of our dogs are adoption-ready and come: •️ Spayed or neutered •️ Heartworm tested •️ Dewormed •️ Up-to-date on prevention medications •️ Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines •️ Microchipped •️ With a coupon for a free Simply Dub collar from Dubdog Designs

Hello! Im Shakira! Im a beautiful 2 year old gal with eyes to captivate you! I previously lived most of my life outside with my puppies but Im ready to find quiet home to relax in. I love activities and would benefit from a home where I am provided with lots of enrichment and stimulation to keep me occupied and entertained (I LOVE toys). If you have a yard that I can run around in thats even better! Since Im a bit on the shy side with people I would love a family who will give me time and help me grow!

Story
Sassy and sweet, with personality plus and pizzazz like no other; hi, Im Shasta! Im still a youngster, with much to learn, but Ive got a lot to offer, and I am offering it to you! Im only 38 pounds, and Im a Husky mix. For those of you who know the husky breed, you know how wiggly and goofy we can be! I love to smile and talk back to you when you start to converse with me. In my previous home, I had really small kids in my life, and we loved each other. We found ways to work together to bring mischief and excitement to the home.

I attended doggie daycare all the time, I loved every minute of playing there, and my previous owner said that I could get a brick wall to play with me. Seriously! I was surrendered to the shelter because my owner could no longer afford me financially. I dont yet understand much about toys, but Id love to learn how to play with them. I am kennel trained, but in all honesty, I hope I can find a new home that has time to invest in our relationship. I want to be a member of the family and have someone that wants to play with me and walk me and take me on adventures. As I see it, sitting around in a kennel all day is a real waste of my time!

Have you got a spot in your heart and your home for a pup like me? I want to bring my kind of sass and personality to your world. Youll never look back once we meet!

Love from Shasta

Story
Whatever Lola wants…Lola gets! 🎶 Her name was Lola…she was a show girl… 🎶 Are you singing these in your head with us?! 😂 Now you're ready to serenade this sweet, 4 year old, STUNNING Chow! Ok, ok...she might not be an ACTUAL show girl, and she might not ALWAYS get what she wants, but you absolutely CANNOT miss her beauty and presence! Lola is a 52 pound lady who lives her life to be your trusted companion and takes time to build her relationships. While you’re admiring her gorgeous locks, she’ll use that time to learn she can trust you. With Lola, she might appear a bit aloof with new people, but not to worry-it’s probably because she’s making sure she’s safe and secure before she gets too comfortable. Once she is though, which happens pretty quickly—WATCH OUT because you’ve just created your new #1 cuddle buddy! Lola is fine if other dogs are around, but she prefers ones that enjoy doing their own thing and don’t bug her to play. She’s not focused on playtime and toys-she’s focused on lounging and loving. If you prefer a couch potato over a running buddy, then she’s probably more your speed! Lola is quickly blossoming in her foster home, already learning how to both sit and wait, while also showing them earned affection fairly quickly. Because she does prefers a warm up period with new people, she’ll do best in a home where patience is given so she can flourish. She hasn’t been around kids yet, but because she needs them to understand she wants to warm up on her own terms, a home without really tiny ones would be ideal. If you’re looking for a dog that looks before she leaps, then Lola could be your PERFECT MATCH! Her adoption fee is $225. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped, as well as current on preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Meet and greets will be scheduled with potential adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕
