Story
Meet Balto, the calm cool and collected pup ready to join your home! Balto is a cool, chill little guy with the sweetest face. He shows his love in quiet ways, often gazing up at you with soft, adoring eyes. While he enjoys cuddling from time to time, he’s also perfectly happy to relax on his own. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, and his patient, kind nature makes him wonderful with kids. Balto is also a very fast learner, already showing how smart and eager to please he is. Balto is doing great with outdoor potty training, walks nicely on a leash, and loves getting out for strolls. He also goes into his kennel without any fuss! This sweet-natured boy would do well in many types of homes, but he would especially love one where he can spend time outside or enjoy regular playtime with people or other pets. Balto is ready to bring his calm companionship to his forever family. Balto's adoption fee is $275 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm medication, microchip and spay/neuter surgery. Fill out an adoption application at lucky13rescue.org.

Story
We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Katmai is heartworm positive and looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home! She is 2 years old, spayed, 44 pounds, and up to date on all other vetting. Despite her past, Katmai is the sweetest girl on the planet that is full of love! Katmai was found living outside with her 6 puppies on the coldest day of the year! There were multiple reports saying she had been in the area for a while and that the 6 puppies were not her first litter. We quickly jumped to action to get them safe and warm and on their journey to furever homes. The puppies got all their required vetting and went off to their happily ever afters, but poor, sweet Katmai still has another obstacle to overcome in her heartworm treatment. Treating heartworms is a lengthy and expensive process and we are committed to helping her get rid of them! However, she would recover much faster in a home environment rather than our facility. She is sad and stressed in the shelter as she's not used to being cooped up around lots of other animals. She would love nothing more than to have a human to snuggle and adventure with. If you can find it in your heart to help this girl, please fill out an application at kcpaws.org!

Story
Meet your new best friend! Yodel is a calm, sweet pup with beautiful facial coloring and a soft, sensitive nature. While she may be timid and reserved in new situations, she is confident at home. This affectionate girl has never met a person she doesn’t love. She knows how to make a person feel loved, showing affection through doggy kisses and being endlessly excited to see you. Yodel enjoys playing with her littermate, but she tends to keep to herself around other dogs and is happy entertaining herself. She can stay busy for hours playing independently or chewing on a bone. She may need a little time to warm up to young children, but she does well once she feels comfortable and secure. She is making great progress with outdoor potty training and when needed, she always uses a puppy pad. Yodel is currently afraid of the leash, but with patience and encouragement, we believe she will grow confident over time. Yodel would do well in a variety of homes and does not require other pets or children to be happy — all she truly needs is a safe place and a loving person or family to bond deeply with. Yodel's adoption fee is $275 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm medication, microchip and spay/neuter surgery. Fill out an adoption application at lucky13rescue.org.

COURTESY LISTINGCOURTESY LISTINGPlease contact Timothy Casteel 816-853-0482for more information! Hi! My name is Henry James. I’m a ten month old Siberian Husky. I am full of energy. I play well with my dog friends. I have not been around cats or children to know if I am compatible. My current mom and dad adopted me last June. They have worked really hard to find the food that I like, to crate train me, to house train me, and to love me. I really love, love, love to play - inside and outside. My mom and dad had a life change that will take them on the road for extended periods of time. Because of this, I’m looking for a new forever home. My new home will need to continue working on my training. I come when called; I sit on command; I show them what I want through my behavior. I am neutered and my vaccinations are current. I am walked on lead with a harness. My backyard is rather large. That is where I run free. Mom and dad don’t let me run free outside. I like being with someone, and I like hanging out in the yard by myself. Please contact my dad for additional information.
