My Friends at Wayside say: -I will do well in a variety of homes! -Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all! -My previous owner said that I am mostly house-trained.Hi there, I’m Igloo!I’m a playful, energetic Husky who loves having fun and staying busy! Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, you name it, I’m obsessed. I’m always ready for a game of fetch, tug, or just goofing around with my favorite toys. Life is better when there’s fun to be had, and I bring plenty of energy and enthusiasm to every adventure!I’m smart, eager to please, and ready to learn, so I’d do well in a variety of homes, whether you’re active or more laid-back, as long as there’s love, attention, and some playtime, I’m happy. My previous owner said I’m mostly house-trained, so I’ve got that covered too! If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and joyful companion who will keep you entertained and fill your days with Husky energy, I’d love to meet you. Let’s play, explore, and make every day an adventure together!Love, Igloo

Story
Drax is a very playful boy but does get separation anxiety when left at home alone. He loves running laps in the back yard and playing with any toy that squeaks. He's around 3 years old and does well with smaller dogs but not so well with dogs his size. He is moderately house trained. If left alone for long periods or if a lot of company is over and he is overstimulated he might have an accident. He loves butt scratches and belly rubs.

Story
Meet Balto, otherwise known as Little B by his foster family. Balto is a cool, relaxed, and gentle little guy with the sweetest face, sometimes it even looks like he’s smiling at you. He loves staying close to his sister and is usually the one to initiate playtime with her. He also tries hard to play with his foster sister, an adult lab. He shows his affection quietly by gazing up at you with loving eyes, and he is a major cuddler. He’s patient and kind with young kids. Balto is doing great with puppy pad training. He uses the pads much more often than not, and he goes into his kennel without a fight. Sweet natured Balto is ready to join his forever family! Balto's adoption fee is $275 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm medication, microchip and spay/neuter surgery. Fill out an adoption application at lucky13rescue.org.

Story
We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Katmai is heartworm positive and looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home! She is 2 years old, spayed, 44 pounds, and up to date on all other vetting. Despite her past, Katmai is the sweetest girl on the planet that is full of love! Katmai was found living outside with her 6 puppies on the coldest day of the year! There were multiple reports saying she had been in the area for a while and that the 6 puppies were not her first litter. We quickly jumped to action to get them safe and warm and on their journey to furever homes. The puppies got all their required vetting and went off to their happily ever afters, but poor, sweet Katmai still has another obstacle to overcome in her heartworm treatment. Treating heartworms is a lengthy and expensive process and we are committed to helping her get rid of them! However, she would recover much faster in a home environment rather than our facility. She is sad and stressed in the shelter as she's not used to being cooped up around lots of other animals. She would love nothing more than to have a human to snuggle and adventure with. If you can find it in your heart to help this girl, please fill out an application at kcpaws.org!

Story
Meet Yodel also known as Yo Yo! Yodel is a spirited, sweet, and silly pup. Yodel has beautiful coloring on her face and loves giving doggy kisses. She is a good balance of curious and calm, she’s adventurous, but not so much that she makes trouble. She is making progress on becoming puppy pad trained. Yodel goes into her kennel easily, listens well, and will follow you when you call her. She will cuddle up with her foster family, but is also perfectly content sleeping on her own or snuggled up with her brother. She gets along well with her foster sister, an older lab, and while she needs time to warm up to kids, she is okay with them after some time. Yodel is a joyful little companion who would make a loving addition to your family. Yodel's adoption fee is $275 and includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, heartworm medication, microchip and spay/neuter surgery. Fill out an adoption application at lucky13rescue.org.
