My Friends at Wayside say: -During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed co-existing with other dogs -I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me. My home needs are: -I have displayed some touch sensitivities. Ask our staff for more info!-I need alone time when eating or playing with my toys. For that reason, kids in the home need to be 6 years old and older. -If you have kids in the home between 6 and 9 years old, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and touch.

Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy friends at Wayside say:-Volunteers say that I walk well on leash here at the shelter -New people and things make me a little nervous. Let’s take things slow! My home needs are:- I need a home without other dogs - I prefer having your attention all to myself! -Wayside recommends bringing your children 9 years old and younger out to meet me before adoption since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.Hey there, I’m Chikis! I’m a 5-year-old Alaskan Husky mix gal with a gorgeous black and tan coat, perky ears, and a smile that’s hard to resist. I’m a sensitive girl at heart, so new faces, and unfamiliar settings can make me a little unsure at first, so don’t worry if I need a moment to get comfortable. Once we get to know each other, we can enjoy plenty of walks together. My friends here at Wayside say I’m already quite the leash walking lady, so taking walks together could be a great way for us to bond. If you have another dog at home, I’ll need to meet them first to make sure we can be buddies. I’ll also need to meet children age 9 and younger since new people and loud noises can sometimes make me nervous. Grab the leash, I’ll bring the tail wags and come see me at Wayside Waifs!
