Story
Meet Samantha, a striking blond and white Husky, who is around three and a half months old. She is on the more voluptuous side, at 63 pounds, and this girl has had a rough go in her short life so far. Huskies can be high energy, and Samantha is no different. Samantha had potty training issues in the past because she doesn't make noises or alert when she needed to go outside. Her last owner worked with her to use a bell by the door, so this is how she signals needing to go outside. She will need lots of exercise to keep her happy and out of mischief. Like most huskies, she does "talk" and howl. She gives the shelter a zero star rating, and is encouraging all her friends to do the same. She would like to get out of the shelter and into a cat and small pet free home. She also would love someone who will understand that she is a bit shy and aloof at first, and this is probably due to her rough life so far. She hasn't been given a big reason to trust people. Could you be the person she can finally place her trust in forever? Samantha comes spayed, microchipped and neutered.

Lexi is a stunning husky girl. She is dog tolerant and happy to coexist with other chill dogs. She likes to engage in chase play with other dogs at the shelter. She is potty trained, crate trained, and very smart! Lexi went on a Dog Day Out and walked perfectly on leash. Lexi would be a great running partner for anyone with an active lifestyle! She rides well in the car and is looking forward to being someone's adventure buddy. Once Lexi warms up to you, she enjoys a good head scratch and cuddle. Lexi does well with kids and is an overall go-with-the-flow type of girl!Lexi is living in a foster home. Story
Who is this handsome blue-eyed boy? It's 2-year-old Mavi! Mavi is a husky that came to KCPP as a stray, so we are still learning more about him. We do know that Mavi is dog tolerant and would love to meet any other dogs in his future home. Otherwise, we know that Mavi walks well on leash and is full of the typical husky drama and sounds. If you are interested in Mavi, come meet him at KCPP Main Campus! His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.

Story
Skye is a sweetheart, with lots of energy. She thrives when she gets to go run in an open field or in a path in the woods, off leash. She has a beeping collar and responds well to it. She is a free spirit, and stays true to Husky roots. She is very vocal, but not at all aggressive. She is a pro at the Husky howl. We have had her since she was 3 months old. She is very we trained annd was raised with three small children- 3 yrs old, 2 yrs old, and 1 yr old. We love her so much; unfortunately, she requires more attention and exercise than we are currently able to give. She is AKC registered and we have her pedigree. She is not spayed, but is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting our lovable girl, we would love to talk with you more.

Story
We rescued Chichi in November from her previous owner, who was going to take her to a shelter. She mostly gets along with our 1 year old Husky mix but sometimes their play gets too rough and we need to separate them. We are rehoming her mostly because she chases, traps and tries to bite our cats. It has been something that we have been trying to work with on but nothing seems to help. She is very cuddly and gets along well with our kids. She is house trained but we do crate her when we are not home. She loves to snuggle and can sit and shake. She loves toys and water.

Story
Lucy is an approximately 6 month old Husky mix. She is 33 pounds and is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. Lucy is not yet potty-trained, but in all other ways is a good girl. Potty training would be easier with a crate and a fenced in yard. She has some normal puppy behaviors like chewing and jumping up. She is pretty good at sit and stay. She walks well on a leash. She gets along with kids, dogs and cats. Lucy is a sweetheart. She has tons of energy, loves to run and fetch and go for walks, but is also very mellow and will just lay and love you. Lucy loves to have the bridge of her nose scratched and to rest her little chin on your lap for pets. Lucy has great potential to be a wonderful dog for someone who has the time and desire to commit to teaching her to be her best self.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Echo! She came to us from an animal hoarding situation where she lived with 15 other dogs. Her journey has shaped her into a gentle and kind soul, though she is initially shy around new people and animals. However, once she finds comfort and trust, her true playful and affectionate nature shines through. She does well with other dogs, cats, birds, and even children. Echo's ideal home would include the company of other dogs, as their presence boosts her confidence and brings out the best in her. If you welcome Echo into your home, be prepared for a period of adjustment where she acclimates to her new surroundings. With patience and love, you'll witness this once-shy pup blossom into a happy and loving member of your family.

Story
Cashew is a wonderful and loving mixed breed, he shows no aggression towards household members and friends and loves to run around. I rescued him off the streets as a puppy and have raised him for the past two years. He is kennel and potty trained, knows wait, sit, lay down, and go commands. Unfortunately my living circumstances are changing and I wont be able to provide him with the attention and exercise he needs. It would be selfish of me to keep him just to have him kenneled all day, I’d rather him go to a loving home where he can enjoy himself

Story
Attention Akita lovers!!!! This is Sheba, and she is a year and a half old, 78 pounds and incredibly shy and unsure of people, and well, basically just things, right now. She was surrendered in the field by her owner, so we have no idea about her past life except that she used to live with two other dogs. We just know that she will need a patient adopter who will give her the time to build trust, and come out of her shell. Sheba attends doggy playgroups and is unsocialized, tending to stick to herself, trying to play safe. This girl would love nothing more than to let her guard down, and love and be loved. As Sheba is becoming more socialized with our staff and volunteers, she is finding out that humans can be good. She will lean in sometimes while on her walks for affection, liking pets to her back. She is very curious and loves to explore when out for her walks and take in the smells and sounds. She deserves a chance at a home where she will be loved and cherished. Can she take the chance with you? Come meet her today. Sheba is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

Story
Dutch has captured the hearts of our vet clinic. He has spent time there recovering after coming in with an injury to his eye. This doesn't slow him down at all. He is loving and affectionate and recently went on a Dog Day Out where he enjoyed nice walks and being outside. He participates in playgroups and would need to meet any potential dogs prior to going home. Dutch is a wonderful pet that wants nothing more than a home of his own.
