Story
Say hello to Atlas! He is a 2 year old Husky mix who weighs about 45 pounds. Atlas is a handsome fellow, but he can be quite sensitive in nature. He arrived in our care after being tied to a tree abandoned, so he is still learning to trust new people and new places. Once he knows you, he is a sweet and snuggly boy who loves sticking close to his favorite people. He may not enjoy going on adventures with you or exploring outside of his comfort zone, but with his favorite people he is a total lovebug. Atlas absolutely loves other dogs and thrives in an environment where he can have a canine companion to help build his confidence. Since he is so social with other dogs, he would prefer a home that has another dog so he can have a constant companion. Due to his sensitivity, if there are kids in his forever home he would do best with kids ages 13 and older that can give him space while he`s becoming comfortable. If Atlas looks like the pup for you, stop in today to meet this handsome boy!

Story
Meet Chaos!Chaos is a handsome, 10-year-old Husky gentleman with a soulful gaze and a quiet, thoughtful nature. True to his name, he’s not actually chaotic at all—he’s more of a slow-burn kind of guy who prefers to take his time getting to know new people. Once he feels safe and comfortable, Chaos shows his sweet, loyal side and forms deep bonds with his people.Because Chaos can be sensitive, he’s looking for a calm, patient home that understands that trust takes time. If there are kids in the home, we’re asking that they be 13 years or older, as Chaos does best with teens who can respect his space and read his cues. When it comes to other dogs, Chaos is still figuring out appropriate play and social skills. He may do well with a laid-back, chill canine companion who won’t overwhelm him and can help show him the ropes. At this time, we’re unsure how Chaos would do with cats in the home.Chaos would thrive with someone who appreciates a quieter companion and is willing to let him move at his own pace. If you’re looking for a loyal friend and believe the best relationships are built on patience and trust, Chaos might just be your perfect match. Stop in at The Humane Society of Summit County today to meet him!

Story
This sweet 8 1/2 month old girl has been in boarding and training for 3 weeks, and is doing great. She seems to really thrive having other dogs around to love on and play with, so we are asking for friendly dogs in her new home. She has learned sit, down, and stay like the little champ she is! We do not know how she will do with cats though, and we are asking for older children only. If you would  like to be considered to adopt this beautiful girl, don't delay! Her adoption fee is $200, and includes all vetting. Spay, vaccines, microchip, flea tick and heartworm prevention, and endless love from a rescued dog! Story
**This is a courtesy posting. if interested, your information will be passed along to their current owner** Smokey and Cannon are looking for their furever home! Due to their current Dad moving somewhere that doesn’t allow dogs, they are looking for the perfect family to call their own. Smokey and Cannon are a father and son duo. Smokey is a 6 year old catahoula and husky mix. Cannon is a 2 year old catahoula, husky, lab and pit mix. They are both neutered and up to date on vaccines. Smokey’s current Dad says he has a chill personality and loves to play. He also said that Cannon is a sweetheart and a big goofball who also loves to play. They get along great with other dogs and other people. They have not been around any children at this time. Both love going for car rides, playing fetch and going on walks. For more information on this dynamic duo, message us to be put in contact with their current Dad. They would prefer that the pair get adopted together as they are a bonded pair.

Story
Meet my sweet girl, Laycee! She's a loving and energetic dog who thrives on being around people and snuggling up for cuddles. She's got a lot of energy, so she'd do best in a home with a fenced-in yard or with an active owner who can take her on plenty of walks and adventures. IMPORTANT NOTE: She cannot be placed in a home with cats, as she has a history of aggression towards them. We would also recommend caution around small dogs, as her play style can be a bit rough, so she's better suited to being with dogs her own size or larger. She also has resource guarding issues when it comes to other dogs, but she is very trainable and that can be fixed— I have already started to do so. I would also recommend slow feeders! She loves them. I love her so much, but I cannot keep her around my cats who I had before her, it’s just too much concern I have. She's a wonderful dog with so much love to give, and we're hoping to find her the perfect forever home where she can thrive!
