He is dog selective. He does not do well with the male dogs here. He seems to do better with female dogs. If you have a female dog, we could do a meet and greet. Marshmallow has done well with children. Like a perfect s’more, Marshmallow’s heart is filled with sweetness, and he’s ready to share that love with a family who’ll appreciate his playful spirit. He’s the kind of dog who might be a little gooey around the edges, but once you give him a chance, he’ll be the most delightful treat you could ask for. Sassy is currently at county pound but we will pull her if we can find a foster.Sassy and 8 other dogs were taken from abusive owners. Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside.We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog! She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times. She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds. She has been spayed. Sassy lived with dozens of cats prior to being seized and taken to the shelter.Apply to foster Sassy and help her learn to trust people and gain confidence at ricopetrecovery.org

Meet Monday! She is an eleven month-old husky/ hound mix who weighs 42 pounds. Monday arrived at CHA when her owner could no longer care for her. She still has a lot of puppy energy, and loves to play. But, she is also super affectionate, and loves to cuddle and spend time with her people. Monday has a prey drive, and needs to be in a home with no cats or small animals. However, she does love other dogs! Monday is an extraordinarily gentle player, and she has made so many doggie friends while at CHA. She even loves to play with the smaller puppies! We always recommend a meet and greet with any current dogs in the home, especially because Monday can be a little scared of dogs that are bigger than her. Monday is a good girl who just loves every person she meets. Come to CHA today and see if she`d be a good fit for your family.
