Story
Meet Bleu, a social butterfly in a husky suit who firmly believes that humans are for cuddling, leaning on, and kissing at every available opportunity. He is incredibly affectionate, comfortable being handled all over, and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. Personal space is optional in Bleu’s world, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.Bleu walks nicely on leash for a young husky, though he prefers a meandering route with lots of sniffing and enthusiastic scent-marking. He isn’t especially food motivated, but he does enjoy certain high-value treats and is much more driven by attention and praise. He doesn’t have basic cues yet, but he’s engaged and people-focused, which gives him a solid starting point for training. He’s friendly with other dogs and generally polite at first, but he can come on strong and may try to mount, so any dog friends should be tolerant and playful. He disengages easily when redirected and shows neutral, appropriate body language. He may be able to live with cats with proper, slow introductions. Bleu is likely to do well with respectful kids of any age.Future adopters should know that Bleu is a talented escape artist. He can slip out of collars and harnesses, chew through gear, and dig under fences quickly, so he will need direct supervision even in a secure yard and plenty of mental and physical enrichment. Tie-outs are not an option for him.Bleu also has a history of separation-related distress and struggles with being left alone or confined, including attempting to escape when separated from his person. Apartment living is not a good fit, and his adopter will need to be committed to working through separation training. If you’re an experienced dog home looking for an affectionate husky who adores people, enjoys an active lifestyle, and is ready to work on some big feelings with the right support, Bleu may be the perfect match.

Story
Hi, I’m Koda—professional explorer, snack enthusiast, and full-time Husky with opinions. When you come to meet me, I’ll likely greet you with a happy wag, a little bounce, and then show off my manners by sitting nicely for treats (which I take very gently, thank you). I know several cues like sit, down, paw, and “off,” and I walk pretty well on leash for a Husky, though I do like to stop and smell all the important messages along the way.Food is my love language. I’m extremely food motivated and learn quickly because of it, though I may prefer not to be disturbed while I’m eating. Once my bowl is empty, I’m totally happy to move on and see what other snacks you have, and I trade items nicely when asked. Toys? Meh. Cuddling? Optional. Exploring outside and sniffing everything? Absolutely yes.I’m very friendly with people, including respectful kids, but I can get over-excited and jump, so I’ll need help remembering to keep all four paws on the floor. I’m known to “talk” when I’m frustrated or excited—classic Husky commentary. With other dogs, I’m a bit selective and can be reactive on leash, so slow introductions and continued training will be important. Cats are a no-go for me, as I like to chase. One last thing to know: I can jump impressively high from a standstill and have a bit of a history with counter surfing and mischief when left unattended, so secure fencing, good management, and ongoing training will help me be my best self. If you are super active and love being outside a lot, I could be convinced to live in an apartment; just be sure your neighbours are down for the occasional yodeling session (they can even sing along, I don`t mind).I was surrendered through no fault of my own and am ready for an active home that appreciates a smart, sassy, food-loving Husky who will keep life interesting. If you’re looking for a dog with personality, I might just be your guy.
