Story
Is this dog good with kids? It's crucial that children are taught to respect dogs and understand a dog's body language. Is this dog house trained? Expect to house train a newly adopted dog. Some dogs will pick it up faster than others. Successful house training largely depends on patience and consistent encouragement. Most of the dogs that end up in shelters are mixed breeds that can have 2 to 10 different breeds in their DNA. The breed listed is only the best guess of the shelter volunteers. If interested in meeting any of our cats or dogs, stop in to meet them during our open hours. For location and hours, see our website at https://wacshelter.com To apply to adopt online go to https://wacshelter.com/adopt-a-dog/ ALL ANIMALS LISTED AS ADOPTABLE ARE AVAILABLE TO BE ADOPTED. *ADOPTION FEE: $95 (cash only) includes spay/neuter, distemper vaccine, heartworm test, and rabies vaccine.

Story
Trinity is a very pretty Husky mix with blue eyes. She is currently fostered with other dogs in an adult home. We don't know how she is around young children but older kids should be fine. She is energetic and playful and might be a good companion for another dog. Those interested should be familiar with the breed. She would enjoy going on walks with someone willing to give her lots of love and attention. Trinity is microchipped. We think she is about 1-2 years old.

Story
Helllllllllo there! My name is Buzz! It's a great name for me because I'm very lively, energetic, and always in motion! I am a very fun, active fella, with a zest for life!! I love to play with toys, that is my choice for motivation, even over treats. Pull out a good toy, especially ones I can whip around and toss in the air, and I will have a blast amusing myself (and probably amuse you as well). I'm your typical Husky meaning I definitely like attention from the humans (and you'll know because I'll jump on ya when I'm excited), but I also like to do my own thing and be in my own little world. I am a very happy go lucky fella, with a go go go personality. I'm eager on leash because I want to run and have fun, so I will need some work not pulling too much when we go out. I would love an adopter familiar with us Huskies, as we have lots of interesting traits! Or someone patient, active, and willing to meet my high energy, mischievous needs! I also need a home without cats, as I get carried away with them and let my inner husky out, if you know what I mean. I am so excited to find my new home!See Buzz on Tiktok! https://tinyurl.com/545zhmz3

Story
Hi I'm Bolte! If you are wondering how I got that name..its probably because I like to bolt out of the yard and go on many adventures! My favorite thing to do is go adventuring on my own so you will see that I have been at the humane society many times. That being said, I think I would do fine if I got the appropriate amount of exercise and mental stimulation every day. Which means lots of walkies!! and lots of games! And being supervised in the back yard.Even though I'm a senior I've still got lots of spunk and energy and a ton of love to give. I am pretty smart and know things like sit, down, shake, wait, drop it....but in true husky fashion I only like to do them what I want to.Anyways, If you are looking for a sweet and friendly boy like me to keep you on your toes, then apply to adopt me today! I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Hello there, I'm Blu! Life in the shelter is quite the adventure. I'm an independent soul, always curious and ready to explore. I've been told I'm quite the escape artist so I will need to be supervised if I'm outside. If you have a fenced yard it MUST be 6' privacy fence because I can hop, skip and jump my way over a regular fence or squeeze my way through any cracks! But don't worry, I'm also a gentleman on the leash. Walking with me is a breeze and so you should be prepared to go on many walking or hiking adventures with me! My brave heart loves a good challenge, whether it's a tricky puzzle toy or a new walking route. I'm energetic and smart, always eager to learn new tricks. My gentle nature makes me a great companion for any adventure. Why should you adopt me? Well, I'm sweet and brave, ready to face the world by your side. I promise to bring joy, curiosity, and a dash of excitement into your life. I can't wait to meet you!
