Story
Meet Arthur: A Brave Little Husky with a Heart of Gold!!! Arthur is an 11 week old, blind and deaf puppy, but his disabilities are no match for his determination and joy! Though he can't see or hear the world around him, he navigates life with confidence, independence, and an infectious zest for living. Arthur LOVES tug of war and will happily entertain himself with toys when you need a break. He's a zoomer at heart—give him a yard and watch him run with pure joy! Despite his energy, Arthur has mastered the art of crate relaxation, settling down almost immediately when it's rest time. He's even a champion car rider, making him the perfect adventure companion for your family outings. Arthur doesn't let his blindness and deafness slow him down one bit! He's a confident little soul who has figured out how to thrive, and his bravery will absolutely melt your heart. He communicates with the most adorable squeaks and squeals that will have you smiling all day long. Arthur's ideal home would be an active household, ideally with another friendly dog to play and romp with. He's working on basic commands (currently mastering "sit"!) and would benefit from a family committed to continuing his training journey using touch-based cues. Arthur is already crate-trained and does wonderfully when left alone—no separation anxiety here! *Estimated DOB 11/30/2025 *14 lbs. of CUTENESS *Dog Friendly *Crate Trained *Neutered *Up to date on vaccines Apply TODAY!!! https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Benny, the 10-month-old husky who never got the memo that he's supposed to walk like a normal dog. This goofball has decided that running like a bunny is the superior mode of transportation, and honestly? He might be onto something. Benny spent way too long at the city shelter waiting for someone to notice how special he was. When he finally got adopted, the poor guy came back after just two days because of "anxiety." Turns out, he wasn't anxious—he was just in the wrong place. In his foster home, this boy is completely amazing, confident, and anxiety-free, goofy and lovable. He just needed a little understanding and the right environment to let his true personality shine. Benny is convinced every dog he meets is his new best friend, thinks cats are just small fluffy mentors, and believes children are the most important humans on earth (probably because they're at perfect ear-scratching height). This bouncy boy is basically 40 pounds of fluff, enthusiasm, and zero intimidation factor. He'll hop right into your heart, roll over for belly rubs from literally anyone, and spend his days wanting to please you. Benny would do best in a home with other dogs, he needs to burn off energy and he is much more confident when he knows a canine friend is by his side. Benny is nearly housetrained, perfectly crate trained, great on leash and is honestly, a pure joy of a dog. *10 months old *Husky mix (visual guess) *Neutered *UTD on vaccines *Microchipped *Dog, Cat, Kid Friendly Apply here to make this boy your forever friend: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Leah has been a deeply loved part of our family for the past three years, ever since my son adopted her. Sadly, due to an unexpected relocation, he is no longer able to keep her, and making this decision has been incredibly hard for all of us. Leah is a gentle, loving three-year-old who finds pure joy in her toys and melts with happiness during belly rubs. In addition, she is sporty, and enjoys long walks in the park. Leah has the sweetest bond with our family, especially our two-year-old grandson, whom she adores during his visits. Leah's happiest moments are simply being surrounded by the people she loves. We are hoping to find a warm, compassionate home where Leah will be cherished, protected, and loved just as deeply as she has been with us.

Story
This is a sweet boy dumped in a random neighborhood. He is a little shy but is friendly. He has not growled, snarled or shown any anger to strangers. Not sure if he is house trained but can learn. He loves to play, run around a yard and just have some fun. He has done well on some walks and loves the freedom to be outside. A routine is best for him to adapt and flourish in a new home. He is ready to find a forever family. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Lakota is a sweet boy who came to us as a surrender from his previous owner's change in living situation. He's a sweetheart who's your average husky, lots of energy and lots of love. He's looking for a new home to settle into where he can get constant attention and a big yard to run around in! He'd make anyone an amazing companion if given the chance.

Story
**If you are interested in adopting Yuki, please contact Caleb at caleb1594@gmail.com.** Meet Yuki 🐾 Yuki is a 3-year-old Husky who is, quite frankly, very good at being a Husky. He’s smart, energetic, athletic, and full of personality—and he’s looking for a home that understands what that really means. Yuki walks well on a leash and is house-broken. He’s crate trained, though he has occasionally demonstrated his impressive problem-solving skills by getting out of it. He has lots of energy and will need regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy. He can jump fences, so a secure yard (or supervised outdoor time) is a must. He enjoys being groomed and doesn’t mind baths, loves to cuddle, and is a big fan of belly rubs. Yuki also gets car sick, so short trips or some patience will be needed there. Yuki should be the only pet in the home—he is definitely not cat-friendly, and his behavior around other dogs or children is currently unknown. Because of his breed traits and energy level, Yuki would do best with an experienced Husky owner or someone who is truly willing to put in the time, training, and commitment this breed requires. In short: Yuki isn’t “too much dog”—he’s just exactly the dog you’d expect when you adopt a Husky. If you’re ready for an active, clever, affectionate companion and understand that Huskies don’t come with an “off” switch, Yuki might be your perfect match. *This pet is featured through our Pet Re-Homing Program. This is a private pet. Please use your best judgement when deciding to meet. Any questions or comments regarding this pet should be directed to the owner listed. Again, this is not a pet affiliated with Oakland County Animal Shelter. This program was created to help residents of Oakland County needing placement of a loving pet and hopefully avoiding a stressful shelter environment.
