Story
Hey there, I`m Thunder, the adventurous Siberian Husky ready to find my forever home! Life`s been a whirlwind since I was found as a stray, but I`m excited to embark on new adventures with my future family by my side.I`m as friendly and playful as they come, always eager to make new friends and explore the world around me. I`ve already mastered the art of sitting when I want a treat, but I`m open to learning even more tricks if you`re up for the challenge! Going for walks and romping around with my canine pals are some of my favorite pastimes.I`m a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs, so I`d love to have some furry playmates in my new home. However, I have a strong prey drive and like to chase cats, so it`s best if I`m in a household without any feline friends.I`m looking for a family that will spoil me rotten and take me on all sorts of adventures. Whether it`s hiking through the mountains or exploring new trails, I`m up for anything as long as I have my humans by my side. My thick coat will need regular brushing to keep it in top shape, but I promise to repay you with plenty of love and cuddles! While I`m friendly with other dogs, I have a tendency to chase cats, so a home without feline friends would be best for me.My beautiful coat will need regular grooming to keep it looking its best, so be prepared for some brushing sessions! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. To help speed up the application process, it is recommended that you complete the online application form found at the link below.https://animalcontrol.macombgov.org/AnimalControl-AdoptionApplicationMy adoption fee is SPONSORED!

Story
Hello We have a 9yo male husky named Lupin who needs to be rehomed. My wife and I have tried very hard to get him acclimated to our son since he was born 2 years ago, but after recent events and a huge scare we unfortunately have to rehome him. He is fully vaccinated and fixed. Great with adults, but does not do well with small children or other pets (he is fine around older children). He would do fantastic in a home where he is the only animal. We are asking for a small fee rehoming fee of $50 so he doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.

Story
Me and my 5 siblings were surrendered by our "family" who decided not to fix our mom but also not able to take care of her litter. We are friendly, outgoing, fun, and loving. And we love to chew so we'll need to have a few toys around the house to keep us out of trouble. Come on down and meet us! If you live outside of TN that's alright too because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Special Needs: NA- just gentle, positive reinforcement training, like all shelter dogs Radley and his sibling, Chilli, were dumped on a back country road. Roaming from place to place and having to fend for themselves until they ended up in the yard of our Intake Coordinator. They were brought into our shelter to try and find them a home. Radley has done very well with other dogs, but can guard food/water. He is wonderful with people and excellent with children. Radley is a 1 yr old male, 42lb husky mix. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. An experienced husky owner is preferred and a fence is required. No small animals.

Valkyrie “Val” is an amazing family dog and has been great with my little kids. She is a very calm dog. Love to just lay around and cuddle. Loves going on walks and has been around babies for years. Unfortunately we are moving and have family that is allergic. Just looking for a good home to send her to where she can be loved.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://us14b.sheltermanager.com/onlineform_view?formid=46) completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will continue to perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.
