Amos got to us after he had to go from the animal shelter to the vet clinic for an amputation. We don’t know why his front left leg was so damaged. We do know that the night of his surgery he managed to rip out all of his stitches and laid his head on the vet tech’s shoulder while getting wrapped for repair surgery the next morning.He is not quite a typical Husky as he’s very laid back. He doesn’t use his voice near as often as most Huskies although he does have a little growl in his conversational voice which isn’t nearly as off-putting as it might sound.Amos has great house manners, does fine on a leash, and would be a perfect go-everywhere boy for his family. He adores his humans and is very loving and outgoing. He is a social boy and meeting new people and animals is easy for him. He’s fine with cats and seems to ignore the livestock kids at his foster home.He is very engaged with his humans and loves to be as close when he doesn’t want to spend time watching the world go by from his perch on the porch. He will often ask to sleep outside but is willing to do what his human feels is best.Amos is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current with flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Dascha is on the hunt for her forever home! DOB: 2/1/24 Weight: 38 lbs In her less than three years of life, Dascha has been in three different homes through no fault of her own. Her first owner moved into a care facility, and her next suffered from severe allergies. Now she's in a foster home until a loving family commits to giving her everything she deserves. Montana is a 2 1/2-year-old, 56 lb. Husky/German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to a city shelter by his owner. After spending several months being overlooked by families, he was taken in by a Legacy Humane Society foster and is now enjoying the good life while he waits for that special someone to make him part of their family. Unfortunately, Montana wasn’t treated the best in his previous home, but despite that, he is still as sweet, gentle, and loving as can be. He is completely housebroken, walks well on a leash, loves to play fetch, and is happiest when he can be right by your side. Montana is also good with children and is especially gentle with younger kids. He needs a home without cats but could do well with other dogs with a proper meet and greet. This handsome boy will thrive with a family that can continue to provide him with love, structure, consistency, and encouragement. In return, Montana will give you loyalty, companionship, and plenty of affection. Montana is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He tested positive for heartworms and is currently being treated through the slow-kill method. This treatment does not require the same level of rest and activity restriction as traditional heartworm treatment.
