Story
To say that Hanna adores human attention would be an understatement. This fluffy pup immediately mellows out whenever she receives affection from anyone – be it strangers, children, or the elderly. But don't be fooled by her antics. The moment it's time to return to her kennel, she unleashes the husky's trademark howl, serenading the shelter with her rendition of the "shelter dog blues." Her vocal prowess echoes throughout the center, leaving no doubt about her desire for companionship. In 2020, Hanna found her home through OHAR, where she lived alongside another dog and children. However, due to unforeseen hardships, her family faced tough decisions and returned her to OHAR. This turn of events has left Hanna heartbroken, yet she remains resilient, determined to find her fairy tale ending once again. Could you be the one to offer Hanna the love and stability she so deserves?Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Priscilla could be your new next best friend! She’s a 1-2 year old 59 pound Siberian Husky that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/27 along with her sibling Ursula. They are kenneled together, so it would be easy to get to see them both. They are bonded. They’re both really good girls. Priscilla has blue eyes and a slimmer body. She’s also more laid-back. She’s tail-wagging happy. She sits and gives her paw for treats. She stayed close, soaking up attention. She is affectionate, attentive, sweet, calm, gentle, and well mannered. She would need a tall secure fenced in yard to play in, as well as frequent brushings. Priscilla walked well on a leash. This soft cuddly girl that gives kisses is ready to enrich your life with unconditional love! You could be double blessed by adopting Ursula at the same time!

Story
If you’re an active family looking to add spice to your life,Indy is your pup! Indy is a four month old 21 pound Siberian Husky that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 7/28. He’s very unique because of his large ears. He has all the fun-loving puppy traits such as: being frisky, exuberant, playful, sociable, affectionate, and happy go lucky He thinks the world is his oyster. He has an outgoing, spirited side, but also has a calm, cuddly side. He already knows the sit command and takes treats gently. He does jump on you, but then he’s only four months old! He had me going around in circles trying to take pictures of him. He’s just plain fun to be around. She would need to have a secured yard to play in with a tall fence. Huskies also need frequent brushing. He walks okay on a leash. He would love to go for walks or out to play with you and then come in for family time.

Story
Oh my! Where do I start describing this darling youngster! Celeste is listed as a Husky/Lab mix, weighs 39 pounds and is approximately 6 months old. She arrived at the Mesquite Animal shelter on 8/17. What will first draw your attention is her beautiful variegated coat, her silky fur, those adorable freckles, and the one blue/one brown eye. The combination is irresistible! Not only is she outwardly adorable, but she has so many fine qualities. She has a low-key, chill personality. She does not jump on you. She knows the sit and shake commands. Celeste is obedient, well mannered, calm, and gentle. She walks quite nicely on a leash. She is friendly, sociable, and responds to loving attention. She was quite happy to receive treats in a sitting position! Let me tell you, she charmed me! She apparently has been well cared for and the big mystery is where are her people? Celeste needs a new home and we are hoping her stay at the shelter is short and sweet! Can you help her?

Story
Elena is a1 yr old, 40 pound spayed Siberian Husky that came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/19 as a stray. She is definitely a free spirit that sees her world as her playground. She has a small lean frame. She is spunky, spirited and playful. She would get down on her belly enticing you to play with her. She would do best with an active family that would give her lots of playtime and space to run in a secured yard with a tall fence. She has a beautiful coat and would need frequent brushings. After she’s gotten a chance to get out and stretch, she does like to have her ears scratched. This is a delightful, somewhat goofy young pup. She showed no interest in the other dogs barking at her yet we do ask if you have another dog in the home please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. Come spend some time with her.
